  • In this episode, Phil from ‪@anotherangleUK‬ and I continue our Ferox Trout campaign on day 2 on the stunning Loch Awe Scotland. Day 1 was a success, when Phil hooked and landed a stunning specimen Ferox weighing in at 7lb 3oz which kicked off the campaign. Day 2 turned out to be more of a challenge with bright sunshine, warm temperatures and calm waters.
    Ferox Day 1.

Gutted to see you lose that fish but at least you had the pleasure of the fight. Another fantastic video. Better luck next time.

Thanks Jim that’s fishing. It’s a thrill to have a big fish on and to actually see it. Hopefully we will get another crack at it before the season ends. Thanks for commenting mate👍tight lines.

Nice video Douglas. Hard luck losing the fish, but at least you got a good look at it. 2 trips 2 ferox hooked is pretty good. The ferox guys I know wold be more than pleased with that.

Just got round to watching these Ferox videos. Well done, they can't be an easy fish to track down. Always a fish I've wanted to catch... on purpose that is. It's never nice losing a fish, but that one hurt even to watch.

Cheers Alex, yeah it seems time on the water is what’s required buddy. Not the most exciting way to fish unless you get a hook up, then all hell breaks loose. It’s good to chill out on the water every now and then and chew the fat with a mate and hopefully get a fish. I think we’ll have one more crack at before the season ends. Thanks for watching mate.

Cheers John, we were expecting one too. I think we would probably have a better chance in shallower water for them

Gutted for you mate looked a bigger one than Phil's, but you know that just makes you more determined to keep going till you get one landed, tight lines.

Well done gents! No easy feat to even catch 1 let alone 2 hookups in 2 days! Had a mate years back whos pal fished for them for over 5 years and only got a few fish in that time.

Loved both takes on the day, yours and Phil's. Huge misfortune to lose the fish like that, but it can happen so suddenly. Next time....!

Great video, real shame to lose that one but it gives you something to go back for! Can I ask what sort of depth you are trolling over?

Cheers Jethro, no problem mate, I think the first fish depth below the boat was 53ft and the second fish was 69ft both fish took on the downriggers at 20ft. Thanks for watching mate👍
