Better late than never, I guess! The ending story update for the global version has been finally released a few hours ago, without even notifying the playerbase. I already told most of my thoughts and did my thanks in the Japanese translated video, so I won't repeat myself here. However, I was glad to realize that 99% of our translation was accurate, especially the part about the darknesses and the vessels. I won't lie, I'm still disappointed that people playing on global had to wait 10 days in order to get to play the ending, avoiding spoilers and feeling treated differently than the Japanese playerbase. This has been an issue forever, since the game was released, and I'm disappointed to see they couldn't deliver the ending worldwide (especially since the last couple of updates were released simultaneously with the Japanese version). More videos will follow this one, focused on summing up the story, which will only include the important stuff. This way, anyone will be able to easily catch up. That video is almost complete. I wonder - what is the 1%? I originally planned to wait for the official translation, but when it's been a week since the update and it didn't came out, I decided to watch your video. That's was two days ago, so when I played the official version today, I could remember a few lines that were different from your translation ("Luxu the traitor" - "traitor Luxu"; "I'm proud of my best friend" - "he was a good friend", etc.) I wander what would you consider a significant difference between the version.
The last line between Luxu and Brain definitely hits differently. Less sounding like a threat and more sounding like him making a "suggestion" that Brain needs more than one lifetime to work out a solution...
@@SubduedRadical yeah, you're right. It even felt like he was saying something like: "you're smart, too bad you'll be all alone." Like the sad part isn't him dying, more like being isolated for his entire lifetime in Daybrake Town, which was Brain's plan. It made me think that maybe Luxu took control over Brain's body in order to save him.
I think I sorta know that why there are Dream Pieces? If I interpret it out of the box, maybe.... just maybe.... and this is the conclusion that came to my mind.
I like to think that the dream eaters we create in DDD are "synthetic" and, as such, have no dandelion heart inside. Any attempt to convince me that this isn't the case will be met with "LALALALLALALALALALAICANTHEARYOU"
@Milkyway2099 the only spirits you see (from my memory at least) are the Meow Wow and Komory Bat you start with and those that are with the TWEWY cast. Every other "natural" dream eater has fallen to darkness and become a nightmare, so when you defeat them you free the Dandelion heart inside them.
Ok to sum up. The Keyblade War's purpose was to bait the 13 pieces of darkness into vessels easy enough to possess but strong to trap and not succumb to their influences. Worked on Master of masters and his pupils, meant to happen with the union leaders but 4 of them ended up trapped permanently, while one succeed and is residing in Ventus (which explains re:mind) as for the last the only explanation its the same one that not only guided maleficent back to her time but was unable to possess a vessel in time, thus losing its reasoning and devolved into the very creature we fight, the heartless. Along with that, we understand time travel being more simple it appears when it comes to memories and a medium which would explain the 3 who use the lifeboats per Brain's instruction ended up separated by such peculiar places. As for Brain apparently getting your body pocessed could also trigger flinging your heart to the future, but whether it was an accident or on purpose for him to end up in Scala Ad Calum like that is still a mystery. As for us the player, there are only two choices for those who are a keyblade wielder with a chirithy. Sleep and your Chirithy becomes the dream eater strong enough to protect your heart or reincarnation, and of all the people to turn into we get "him". Oh and some shit about Quadratum being the ideal place where light or darkness, won't hold any real power. Not bad for a wrap up, but I still like to know how Demyx, relates to all this.
Luxord is more or less confirmed to be the driver for yazora in the remind final cutscene (same voice actor in both English and japanese I'm pretty sure, and they have the same haircut) and I wanna say demyx is supposed to be from quadratum as well, we just haven't gotten that far yet I guess.
@FeanixFlamage I agree. Demyx and Luxord have to be from Quadratum, they don't fit in the Keyblade War at all, they've never shown any hint of having Keyblades whatsoever.

He (the player) sided with Darkness for a moment there, defeating two Keyblade Masters, so he was willing to side with the darkness... when the Master of Master talked with Xehanort he said with a surprised sarcastic tone, "Ohh, never heard that one before, a Keyblade wielder willing to side with the Darkness?" as if it wasn't really the first time he saw that. After that, the Master said "The world needs you, I can grant you that one" as if he knows it's true but didn't want to say it yet... Also "I mean that you're going to outgrow it [the black coat that wards off darkness]." "If you truly posses great power, the darkness can't control you. You won't need a silly old coat to stay safe. In fact, you'll be the one controlling the darkness instead." And he said that las one while closing his hand as if he catched something with it. Get it? Xehanort/The Player is also part of the plan to catch the 13 Original Darknesses and kill them difinitively, which Sora excecuted at the end of KH3 so there should be 12 Darknesses remaining
Really hoping you didn't just jinx it lol. Pretty sure it's not the first time global translated something one way only for people to realize the original fan translation actually held significance and the initial global translation was wrong as a result.
Yea it turns out they just censored/bleeped a word out like MoM's name when talking to Young Xehanort "A _____ world." Huh? Not sure why they did this but I'm sure it will make sense eventually
@@ZoeG2099 pretty sure they changed the "guilt" in the medals to some generic "boost" wording in global. (I lost access to my account and didn't feel like starting again a good while back, so I'm not super familiar with the terminology they went with) Since it wound up being important in the events leading up to the keyblade war if I'm not mistaken. Using the "guilt" essentially started tainting wielders hearts with darkness, leading to all the darklings that had attacked. A lot of it is kind of just stuff I've picked up on from other youtubers and such. A lot seem to prefer the Japanese fan translations, so I don't actually know off the top of my head what else actually got changed that wound up mattering in that way though.
@@FeanixFlamage Exactly. But that happens a lot in KH and even Final Fantasy. I know they do a lot but at this point its a bit of a joke how much gets lost in localization.
If they end up making UX a "movie" like they did with X Back Cover, I want the player character to just be Everglow. At this point I'm more used to seeing his avatar as the player character than my own avatar
@@EChacon this is where it gets weird for me because when Square does their bundles they like to do them in 3s. So if there was a hypothetical 3.5 it would be 3 and ReMind as one, MoM, and I'd say a UX movie. But since Dark Road and UX are like two halves of the same coin (especially after the Xehanort reveal in UX) I feel either they both get made into movies or they both become full fledged games. Idk that's just my opinion

Other than the χ Back Cover cutscene movie from the II.8 Collection, the majority never played χ and Union χ via the app and pretty much don't know what is going on in terms of the story and who are these new characters (unless they watch the story cutscenes on YT, the KH3 epilogue) so honestly it makes sense to have χ/Union χ be remade as a Console game via the Unreal Engine, they have some of the assets and Character models from the Back Cover movie that they can reuse along with New models for the console remake of χ/Union χ.
So what do we now know thanks to the NA translation: 1) Player's Heart melts into Xehanort's. It does not hides in his but completely reborns. 2) the wierd symbol used by MoM is simply an asterisk in Japanese. 3) Luxu probably gets a deal with Brain because he says it's a pity that Brain has only one lifetime. 4) Brain in Scala is really brain as he answers immediately to his name and says Ephemer Is a good friend. Note that Luxu has only met Brain, he doesn't know how Ephemer looks like. 5) they are not called "mediums" but "vessels", exactly as Xehanort's many forms during KH3

So I guess this translation confirms that the modern dream eaters are in fact transformed Chirithy, not the spirits of the Chi people? (Also note that only the dream eaters only spawn where the Chrithy once were)
Yes, but if you looks closely, you can see the Hearts of the weilders being put into the Chirithy's pouch for safekeeping, meaning the dream eaters still hold those hearts.
Glad to hear that you'll be completing the KHUX part of the KH Timeline now that it's all done. Can't wait to watch it again with all of the MoM talking to Luxu and Darkness scenes in there.

It's been quite the journey this story. I hope that Union χ is remade as _Re: Union χ_ for consoles since most of us don't bother playing the app game and it would be a missed opportunity to have the story and the game be ONLY exclusive via the app instead of being remade as a Console game. It wouldn't surprise me we might get an announcement for Re: χ/Union χ along with the next new KH gameeithee this month or September of this year just in time for the 20th Anniversary of the _Kingdom Hearts_ franchise next year. You want to know what might be a thing that would be real sad. What if the old man that takes in baby Master Xehanort, what if that is an old Ephemer. And he somehow could sense it was his old friend. So he took him in a took care of him till his dying moments.

It's going to be Luxu in some form. Because we have notes of Luxu's thoughts regarding him watching over Xehanort thinking he might be the one spoken of in the book of prophesies.
Why would ephemer be eraqus ancestor? Brain returned to a timeline where ephemer is either very old or gone. He could get his keyblade back somehow. Also eraqus looks much more like brain
Or it could be both for all we know. Ephemer could had a descendent somewhere and Brain ended up marrying that descendent that would eventually lead to Eraqus. Than again that would be WAY too easy.
I've heard a few people saying that the wielders became the Dream Eaters. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's the Chirithy, who we already knew were spirits, who become the Dream Eaters when the wielders heart goes to sleep.
Yes, IDK why so many people got it wrong even in the fan translated version. It was pretty clear that the Chirithy became the spirits to protect their wielders.

I think back cover was immediately after the keyblade war. Also my theory is Luxu didn’t take over Brain’s body until waaayyyy later and that the Braig/Xigbar we see throughout the main KH games is Brain’s body the entire time.
So, 7 with the MoM and his students, plus 4 in the scene where we fight Ephemer and Skuld, plus the one that left with Maleficent makes 11. The one we fought a few missions ago is the 12th, which begs the question of where is the last one.
Hmm the one that was in Ventus who we faced back in re:mind turned into dark inferno x right this is just a theory but maybe the last one is the normal dark inferno we faced back in the base game.
It's different. The one with Malefica stayed because he had other "business" do to. Little recap: 7 are within the union leaders + Luxu and the MoM. 5 are dead chopped (4 that were locked in the portal cable by us + the one that MoM mentioned, that died along with Daybreak Town and I'm almost certain it is what caused the Heartless to spread in the first place) 1 is Vanitas, and went with Ventus in the future and was defeated by us in KH3, so it's no more 7+5+1 = 13 There you go :)
@@mattiarugna5837 I'm not that confident it's Vanitas - and even if it is, that he's really down for the count - but it is possible. We never knew how did the crew defeat the one that was inside Ventus, if they did.
We become the villain sacrificing ourselves to save our friends and stop the darkness from leaving instead of leaving with our friends. I'll miss this game and i can't wait for our reunion with our friends.

It’s like they said in order to travel through time a version of you has to exist already there and one does we know Luxu/Brain already he grew older went to Radiant Garden and changed his name to Braig/Xigbar

30:46 No way! Xeahnort!? Hmm, without a doubt, the young woman is definitely Xeahnort's mother. I don't know what her reason for "abandoning" her new born son, but she had a good reason for it; at least she showed signs of sadness which show us that she still loves him. There are still many questions that remain unanswered in the Kingdom Hearts Universe but I'm sure they'll be answered in the next future saga. Let's just hope there are no more plot holes in the next saga.
I had an idea... So remember back when the keyblade war was happening, how the dark chirithy said that it was ours (the players) and how it didn't make much sense for that to work, since we clearly had our chirithy with us in the same cutscene? What if xehanort sent that chirithy? That would explain why it said it was "ours" because the player ends up becoming xehanort. And since xehanort ends up going all evil, it would stand to reason he'd have a dark chirithy as well. (Though admittedly I'm not sure if any of the dark road characters have a chirithy yet) Though then the question becomes, how did it get there in the first place? Definitely not a super ironed out theory, but if anyone wants to try and elaborate on it, definitely feel free to do so. (Just gimme a shout-out or something if you make a video on it, lol)

I'm beginning to think the Chirithy ability to take in their wielder's heart into their pouch-like thing and become a Dream Eater to protect them while their hearts rest was completely intentional. This may have very well been part of this 'safety plan' the Master of Masters speaks of at 5:50. Thus, I do believe many of the wielders we see at 29:28 can be saved, if not all, barring the player who got reincarnated/ merged part of their heart with Xehanort. By saved, it'd likely include waking their sleeping hearts back up, similar to Ven in KH3.
Can't believe it's all come to an end. I've been keeping up with this series for so long. To see it all wrapped up is a nice but slightly sad feeling. Also and bare in mind I'm not as familiar with the Kingdom Hearts lore than most so if i could get some help explaining the ending that would be great! Can't wait to see what you play next Everglow

I wonder if Player is the only one who didn't become a Dream Eater in the Keyblade War. Everyone else disappeared into their Chirithys' pouches and became Dream Eaters (that we saw).
I think this official translation gives us new perspective on many things like: 1.- I still consider the possiblity that player WAS taken over by a darkness (but managed to avoid being taken over completely, just like MoM described) since it shows how Ephemer had a completely different plan, whispering to him and Skuld to get on the Lifeboats before he "betrays" them, this to me shows that there was no way they originally meant to do the "Ephemer locked that side and I locked this one" plan, this coincides with my theory that since Player reincarnates into Xehanort, maybe Xehanort was thus born with the ancient darkness that player held inside (plus again, Darkness seems to work with a sort of "hive mind" mentality, so being able to trick them like that seems too easy for me if Player really didn't have a piece of them inside) 2.- It is confirmed that after using the incomplete lifeboats you need the memories of someone in your destination time and a vessel for you to inhabit, this is still a question on how did Lauriam, Elrena and Ven managed to retain a body then, if KH3 solved this by having them inhabit replicas but they don't exist in that time, a theory was that you just needed something related to you appear, thus Lauriam appears in a bed of flowers and Elrena during a Thunderstorm (and Ven.....uhhhh... in a barren land cuz he is always alone, I dunno, that one's weird) but with what Luxu said it makes it more complicated, since just having something related to you seems not enough to fulfill the requirements presented (maybe not fulfilling those requirements is what caused Ven, and presumably Lauriam and Elrena, to lose their memories and allowed the latter 2 to eventually end up as Nobodies in the Org 3.- Luxu "taking over" Brain's body , here he sounds much less threatening with the "shame this is the only lifetime you have" opposite to "shame your life will end here", the new translation almost makes it sound like Luxu wanted to GIVE more life to Brain instead of taking it away; plus I just realized, the pods for Ephemer and Skuld appear AFTER that conversation between Luxu and Brain takes place so Luxu should've ALLOWED Brain to do it, found it weird that Luxu would just take Brain's body and then send the pods to rescue them I believe the timeline with all the scenes after Daybreak's destruction gets all weird, so there are going to be some gaps but I believe there are some elements we should consider: Luxu was supposed to BEQUATHE his keyblade to a union leader, KH3's report confirm this was his intention, and unlike Xehanort his body wasn't shown to be old enough to require a new younger one yet (yes, I know we never SEE his real body but considering the other apprentices all seem to be fairly young, makes sense that he would be around their age range), and Brain was the only Union leader left to inherit it, had he just taken over his body, I don't think that would've counted as inheriting it, unless you consider that later while in Brain's body he found Skuld and properly gave it to her Scala Ad Caelum: we know that either Ephemer didn't actually travel due to to daybreak's destruction breaking his lifeboat, or he just traveled a relatively short time into the future (I think he DID NOT travel since he is the only one shown still inside the lifeboat unlike Lauriam, Elrena and Ven who just appeared in their respective times by themselves) Considering the time it takes to create a whole city, train a new generation of wielders as a Keyblade master and basically become legendary enough to get a statue in your honor, I think between Ephemer leaving his floating lifeboat to the scene where Brain meets Sigurd a couple decades should've passed at the very least, which would possibly explain why the lady with babynort looks kinda like Skuld but with different eyes, it's not Skuld, but rather one of her descendants (assuming Skuld eventually found her way back to "Black Scala" but still years before Brain's arrival), either way Skuld is not the focus here Probably the reason that we don't see the lifeboats with Lauriam, Elrena and Ven is because by the time we see them the lifeboats have already been called back, sooo... what if in order to escape daybreak's destruction (which SIgurd confirms Brain did) he was put inside one of those capsules and sent forward in time? to a point where people would know about him, to Black Scala, since Brain doesn't seem to have any memories of what happened during that time, and as I said before, Scala should've taken a while to exist in the state that Brain finds it (I know this kinda contradicts the scene where Brain/Luxu? is shown with the keyblade and box, it helps the keyblade case since luxu was supposed and planned to bequeathe it, but there was no reason for him to give brain the Box as well... but as I said there would be some holes)
@@Vigriff yea I know it was the KG, I guess the wind is a good connection lol, at least as strong as a random lightning storm for Elrena (which when you think about it, Elrena herself wasn't that connected to lightning was she? It's not until she becomes Larxene that it becomes "her thing", at least Lauriam's keyblade is flower themed and Strelitzia is a type of flower)
For the first point, I don't think the player actually was possessed by darkness. I think he went against Ephemerd plans because he felt that, being a union leader, Ephemer was the one who needed to survive. You see it a lot in anime and JRPGs when one friend plans to buy the others tome, but then the other just jumps in and sacrifices themselves anyway. I don't think anything Xehanort did was the result of an ancient darkness, I think it was that all the tragedy he suffered his his life (possibly both lives) finally got the better of him and he gave in to his own darkness. As for Mamanort, I still think Skuld is subject X. She fits the description. 15 with dark hair. And she would also have reason to talk about "four friends and a key" the "four friends" likely being Ven, Ephemer, Lauriam and Elrena (since Brain's plan was to stay behind and the Player sacrificed themself) and the "key" being the keyblade.

This is awesome thanks as I have been unable to get passed Ralph as he is way OP and have no idea how to get stronger I much prefer the way Road to Darkness works while the grinding is annoying at least I know I can get stronger unlike KHUC Where I have no idea what I'm doing.

My ideal would be a complete "0.1" package. Playable Unchained Playable Union Xross Dark Road movie. That's not what's going to happen, but it would be cool.

@@RFDN0 Xehanort gets flashes of the players memory when he's in Destiny Islands. It wouldn't be too much of a stretch for Ephemer to reach out to his current self, especially since were in the Keyblade Graveyard at the time, which was an important place to him. Having Sora as being reincarnated from Ephemer would also give an explanation as to why some random long-dead Keyblade weilder he never heard of is suddenly talking to him. By that point he had already given Ven's heart back to him, so there's not even any indirect connection between Sora and Ephemer.
I kinda prefer the final line being: “I’m so proud of my best friend”, It carries a lot more sentimental weight than the “He was a good friend” we got in the English version. That being said, this game was a masterpiece, and will live on forever in my heart and memories!
@@CaptainFalcoyd That’s a little harsh, the game did drag here and there, but that only made the emotional connection stronger imo… like with a great television series, not every episode has to be a banger, sometimes it’s ok to appreciate when things slow down, so the excitement is only that much greater when things pick up. As for the real money aspect, I was never a fan of that… but unfortunately that’s how practically all mobile apps work. I personally never paid for anything with real money in this game and still made it to the last 10-20 levels… then it became impossible for me to progress any further due to my medals finally becoming too weak for the enemies. And no offense, but to say that the story is simply “interesting” is a HUGE disservice to the series. Kingdom Hearts is one of the most convoluted yet understandable pieces of art I’ve ever had the pleasure of experiencing! I’ve been a massive fan since the very beginning back in 2002-2003!
Even years later, I still feel like it was a critical disservice for Square Enix to terminate the game like they did, rather than converting the single player experience to a server-independant game for posterity. Yeah, it wouldn't have been the same without the competition and the rankings, but it would have at least preserved KHUX as a *game* in the series. I know there were rumblings a while back about fan-projects, but as far as I can tell, none came to fruition.... I hope and pray that maybe someday, somehow, KHUX will be playable again. I also hope and pray that SE's exist strategy for Missing Link is not to leave the players high and dry AGAIN.

Why would Luxu, who's been asking question after question, not ask what his safety plan is? Because he was already told: it's what's in the Black Box. More than likely, the main cast will team up with these masters and stop the darkness, then they reveal they're gonna reset the universe back to a certain point, most likely erasing what's come since. Seeing as that includes them, they'll most likely fight the masters after that.
They switched up who was supposed to be unable to understand what fictional worlds are. The difference of MoM knowing because he's human, while darkness couldn't because it wasn't was IMPORTANT, I thought.
I finally realized that I sacrifice myself to save Ephemer and skuld... That is a true hero of the kingdom hearts union x.... oh yeah, almost forgot, I'm a werewolf in this game, aaaooooooouuuuuuuuuu!!!!!!!
Now at the end we've another interesting point, who is the ancestor of eraqus? Brain was the most likely candidate since their design, but we have no idea of when he arrives at scala... Also with brain we're more sure seeing this translation, that its body was taken by luxu, even if in someway he was able to send him to the future anyway. For sure not ventus or lauriam and of se think that subject x, we have only the founder of scala and brain
So if Luxu did take over Brain than wouldn’t that make him the median/anchor for Ephemer and Skuld to land in the destroyed daybreak town? Assuming the same logic of Terras heart still being able to exist separately from Xehanort applies to Luxu-Brain, than all Luxu would have to do is possess a new vessel leaving Brain and his body behind…. Maybe the No Name keyblade with him.
Bruh, even within 10 days they didn't fix the timing of textboxes like in 39:54 . It's obvious they could have done a worldwide release if they wanted to.
Since I don't really tolerate the constant ambiguity surrounding much of the Master's final remarks, I'm just gonna assume he means to say that Quadratum is a "Balanced" world.
So my one nagging question because time travel being a thing and maths. Are the 7 (possibly 8) darkness's in the present now because the 5 foretellers came back along with the (possible) ones with MoM and Luxu? Then there's the Vanitas situation making the possible 8th which we're (at least I'm not) sure was actually destroyed because of ends of the KH3 dlc where Sora travelled through Vens heart and a Darkness spoke to him.

Better late than never, I guess! The ending story update for the global version has been finally released a few hours ago, without even notifying the playerbase. I already told most of my thoughts and did my thanks in the Japanese translated video, so I won't repeat myself here. However, I was glad to realize that 99% of our translation was accurate, especially the part about the darknesses and the vessels.
I won't lie, I'm still disappointed that people playing on global had to wait 10 days in order to get to play the ending, avoiding spoilers and feeling treated differently than the Japanese playerbase. This has been an issue forever, since the game was released, and I'm disappointed to see they couldn't deliver the ending worldwide (especially since the last couple of updates were released simultaneously with the Japanese version).
More videos will follow this one, focused on summing up the story, which will only include the important stuff. This way, anyone will be able to easily catch up. That video is almost complete.
Plus, now that KHUX is over, I can go back to the first episodes of my Timeline series and work on them. Dark Road is not done yet, but for now we can finally complete the KHUX part.

I originally planned to wait for the official translation, but when it's been a week since the update and it didn't came out, I decided to watch your video. That's was two days ago, so when I played the official version today, I could remember a few lines that were different from your translation ("Luxu the traitor" - "traitor Luxu"; "I'm proud of my best friend" - "he was a good friend", etc.) I wander what would you consider a significant difference between the version.

Like the sad part isn't him dying, more like being isolated for his entire lifetime in Daybrake Town, which was Brain's plan.

I think I sorta know that why there are Dream Pieces? If I interpret it out of the box, maybe.... just maybe.... and this is the conclusion that came to my mind.
I like to think that the dream eaters we create in DDD are "synthetic" and, as such, have no dandelion heart inside.
Any attempt to convince me that this isn't the case will be met with "LALALALLALALALALALAICANTHEARYOU"
@Milkyway2099 the only spirits you see (from my memory at least) are the Meow Wow and Komory Bat you start with and those that are with the TWEWY cast.
Every other "natural" dream eater has fallen to darkness and become a nightmare, so when you defeat them you free the Dandelion heart inside them.

Ok to sum up. The Keyblade War's purpose was to bait the 13 pieces of darkness into vessels easy enough to possess but strong to trap and not succumb to their influences. Worked on Master of masters and his pupils, meant to happen with the union leaders but 4 of them ended up trapped permanently, while one succeed and is residing in Ventus (which explains re:mind) as for the last the only explanation its the same one that not only guided maleficent back to her time but was unable to possess a vessel in time, thus losing its reasoning and devolved into the very creature we fight, the heartless. Along with that, we understand time travel being more simple it appears when it comes to memories and a medium which would explain the 3 who use the lifeboats per Brain's instruction ended up separated by such peculiar places. As for Brain apparently getting your body pocessed could also trigger flinging your heart to the future, but whether it was an accident or on purpose for him to end up in Scala Ad Calum like that is still a mystery. As for us the player, there are only two choices for those who are a keyblade wielder with a chirithy. Sleep and your Chirithy becomes the dream eater strong enough to protect your heart or reincarnation, and of all the people to turn into we get "him". Oh and some shit about Quadratum being the ideal place where light or darkness, won't hold any real power. Not bad for a wrap up, but I still like to know how Demyx, relates to all this.
Luxord is more or less confirmed to be the driver for yazora in the remind final cutscene (same voice actor in both English and japanese I'm pretty sure, and they have the same haircut) and I wanna say demyx is supposed to be from quadratum as well, we just haven't gotten that far yet I guess.

He (the player) sided with Darkness for a moment there, defeating two Keyblade Masters, so he was willing to side with the darkness... when the Master of Master talked with Xehanort he said with a surprised sarcastic tone, "Ohh, never heard that one before, a Keyblade wielder willing to side with the Darkness?" as if it wasn't really the first time he saw that.
After that, the Master said "The world needs you, I can grant you that one" as if he knows it's true but didn't want to say it yet...
Also "I mean that you're going to outgrow it [the black coat that wards off darkness]." "If you truly posses great power, the darkness can't control you. You won't need a silly old coat to stay safe. In fact, you'll be the one controlling the darkness instead." And he said that las one while closing his hand as if he catched something with it.
Get it? Xehanort/The Player is also part of the plan to catch the 13 Original Darknesses and kill them difinitively, which Sora excecuted at the end of KH3 so there should be 12 Darknesses remaining

@@ZoeG2099 pretty sure they changed the "guilt" in the medals to some generic "boost" wording in global. (I lost access to my account and didn't feel like starting again a good while back, so I'm not super familiar with the terminology they went with) Since it wound up being important in the events leading up to the keyblade war if I'm not mistaken. Using the "guilt" essentially started tainting wielders hearts with darkness, leading to all the darklings that had attacked.
A lot of it is kind of just stuff I've picked up on from other youtubers and such. A lot seem to prefer the Japanese fan translations, so I don't actually know off the top of my head what else actually got changed that wound up mattering in that way though.

@@EChacon this is where it gets weird for me because when Square does their bundles they like to do them in 3s. So if there was a hypothetical 3.5 it would be 3 and ReMind as one, MoM, and I'd say a UX movie. But since Dark Road and UX are like two halves of the same coin (especially after the Xehanort reveal in UX) I feel either they both get made into movies or they both become full fledged games. So what do we now know thanks to the NA translation:
1) Player's Heart melts into Xehanort's. It does not hides in his but completely reborns.
2) the wierd symbol used by MoM is simply an asterisk in Japanese.
3) Luxu probably gets a deal with Brain because he says it's a pity that Brain has only one lifetime.
4) Brain in Scala is really brain as he answers immediately to his name and says Ephemer Is a good friend. Note that Luxu has only met Brain, he doesn't know how Ephemer looks like.
5) they are not called "mediums" but "vessels", exactly as Xehanort's many forms during KH3

Yes, but if you looks closely, you can see the Hearts of the weilders being put into the Chirithy's pouch for safekeeping, meaning the dream eaters still hold those hearts.

The way the world ended with the glowing red ball was similar to what happened to the Wayfinder's home world in BBS after the Eraqus battle.

I hope that Union χ is remade as _Re: Union χ_ for consoles since most of us don't bother playing the app game and it would be a missed opportunity to have the story and the game be ONLY exclusive via the app instead of being remade as a Console game.
It wouldn't surprise me we might get an announcement for Re: χ/Union χ along with the next new KH gameeithee this month or September of this year just in time for the 20th Anniversary of the _Kingdom Hearts_ franchise next year.

It's going to be Luxu in some form. Because we have notes of Luxu's thoughts regarding him watching over Xehanort thinking he might be the one spoken of in the book of prophesies.
The player is reborn as Xehanort. If it turns out that Ephemer is Eraqus' ancestor, it goes to show how their bond lives on through their successors.
Why would ephemer be eraqus ancestor? Brain returned to a timeline where ephemer is either very old or gone. He could get his keyblade back somehow. Also eraqus looks much more like brain

30:46 No way! Xeahnort!? Hmm, without a doubt, the young woman is definitely Xeahnort's mother. I don't know what her reason for "abandoning" her new born son, but she had a good reason for it; at least she showed signs of sadness which show us that she still loves him. There are still many questions that remain unanswered in the Kingdom Hearts Universe but I'm sure they'll be answered in the next future saga. Let's just hope there are no more plot holes in the next saga.

I had an idea... So remember back when the keyblade war was happening, how the dark chirithy said that it was ours (the players) and how it didn't make much sense for that to work, since we clearly had our chirithy with us in the same cutscene?
What if xehanort sent that chirithy? That would explain why it said it was "ours" because the player ends up becoming xehanort. And since xehanort ends up going all evil, it would stand to reason he'd have a dark chirithy as well. (Though admittedly I'm not sure if any of the dark road characters have a chirithy yet)
Though then the question becomes, how did it get there in the first place?
Definitely not a super ironed out theory, but if anyone wants to try and elaborate on it, definitely feel free to do so. (Just gimme a shout-out or something if you make a video on it, lol)

I'm beginning to think the Chirithy ability to take in their wielder's heart into their pouch-like thing and become a Dream Eater to protect them while their hearts rest was completely intentional. This may have very well been part of this 'safety plan' the Master of Masters speaks of at 5:50. Thus, I do believe many of the wielders we see at 29:28 can be saved, if not all, barring the player who got reincarnated/ merged part of their heart with Xehanort. By saved, it'd likely include waking their sleeping hearts back up, similar to Ven in KH3.

Can't believe it's all come to an end. I've been keeping up with this series for so long. To see it all wrapped up is a nice but slightly sad feeling. Also and bare in mind I'm not as familiar with the Kingdom Hearts lore than most so if i could get some help explaining the ending that would be great! Can't wait to see what you play next Everglow

I think this official translation gives us new perspective on many things like:
1.- I still consider the possiblity that player WAS taken over by a darkness (but managed to avoid being taken over completely, just like MoM described) since it shows how Ephemer had a completely different plan, whispering to him and Skuld to get on the Lifeboats before he "betrays" them, this to me shows that there was no way they originally meant to do the "Ephemer locked that side and I locked this one" plan, this coincides with my theory that since Player reincarnates into Xehanort, maybe Xehanort was thus born with the ancient darkness that player held inside (plus again, Darkness seems to work with a sort of "hive mind" mentality, so being able to trick them like that seems too easy for me if Player really didn't have a piece of them inside)
2.- It is confirmed that after using the incomplete lifeboats you need the memories of someone in your destination time and a vessel for you to inhabit, this is still a question on how did Lauriam, Elrena and Ven managed to retain a body then, if KH3 solved this by having them inhabit replicas but they don't exist in that time, a theory was that you just needed something related to you appear, thus Lauriam appears in a bed of flowers and Elrena during a Thunderstorm (and Ven.....uhhhh... in a barren land cuz he is always alone, I dunno, that one's weird) but with what Luxu said it makes it more complicated, since just having something related to you seems not enough to fulfill the requirements presented (maybe not fulfilling those requirements is what caused Ven, and presumably Lauriam and Elrena, to lose their memories and allowed the latter 2 to eventually end up as Nobodies in the Org
3.- Luxu "taking over" Brain's body , here he sounds much less threatening with the "shame this is the only lifetime you have" opposite to "shame your life will end here", the new translation almost makes it sound like Luxu wanted to GIVE more life to Brain instead of taking it away; plus I just realized, the pods for Ephemer and Skuld appear AFTER that conversation between Luxu and Brain takes place so Luxu should've ALLOWED Brain to do it, found it weird that Luxu would just take Brain's body and then send the pods to rescue them
I believe the timeline with all the scenes after Daybreak's destruction gets all weird, so there are going to be some gaps but I believe there are some elements we should consider:
Luxu was supposed to BEQUATHE his keyblade to a union leader, KH3's report confirm this was his intention, and unlike Xehanort his body wasn't shown to be old enough to require a new younger one yet (yes, I know we never SEE his real body but considering the other apprentices all seem to be fairly young, makes sense that he would be around their age range), and Brain was the only Union leader left to inherit it, had he just taken over his body, I don't think that would've counted as inheriting it, unless you consider that later while in Brain's body he found Skuld and properly gave it to her
Scala Ad Caelum: we know that either Ephemer didn't actually travel due to to daybreak's destruction breaking his lifeboat, or he just traveled a relatively short time into the future (I think he DID NOT travel since he is the only one shown still inside the lifeboat unlike Lauriam, Elrena and Ven who just appeared in their respective times by themselves)
Considering the time it takes to create a whole city, train a new generation of wielders as a Keyblade master and basically become legendary enough to get a statue in your honor, I think between Ephemer leaving his floating lifeboat to the scene where Brain meets Sigurd a couple decades should've passed at the very least, which would possibly explain why the lady with babynort looks kinda like Skuld but with different eyes, it's not Skuld, but rather one of her descendants (assuming Skuld eventually found her way back to "Black Scala" but still years before Brain's arrival), either way Skuld is not the focus here
Probably the reason that we don't see the lifeboats with Lauriam, Elrena and Ven is because by the time we see them the lifeboats have already been called back, sooo... what if in order to escape daybreak's destruction (which SIgurd confirms Brain did) he was put inside one of those capsules and sent forward in time? to a point where people would know about him, to Black Scala, since Brain doesn't seem to have any memories of what happened during that time, and as I said before, Scala should've taken a while to exist in the state that Brain finds it
(I know this kinda contradicts the scene where Brain/Luxu? is shown with the keyblade and box, it helps the keyblade case since luxu was supposed and planned to bequeathe it, but there was no reason for him to give brain the Box as well... but as I said there would be some holes)
The Barren Wasteland is the Keyblade Graveyard and it's always windy there.
@@Vigriff yea I know it was the KG, I guess the wind is a good connection lol, at least as strong as a random lightning storm for Elrena (which when you think about it, Elrena herself wasn't that connected to lightning was she? It's not until she becomes Larxene that it becomes "her thing", at least Lauriam's keyblade is flower themed and Strelitzia is a type of flower)
For the first point, I don't think the player actually was possessed by darkness. I think he went against Ephemerd plans because he felt that, being a union leader, Ephemer was the one who needed to survive. You see it a lot in anime and JRPGs when one friend plans to buy the others tome, but then the other just jumps in and sacrifices themselves anyway.
I don't think anything Xehanort did was the result of an ancient darkness, I think it was that all the tragedy he suffered his his life (possibly both lives) finally got the better of him and he gave in to his own darkness.
As for Mamanort, I still think Skuld is subject X. She fits the description. 15 with dark hair. And she would also have reason to talk about "four friends and a key" the "four friends" likely being Ven, Ephemer, Lauriam and Elrena (since Brain's plan was to stay behind and the Player sacrificed themself) and the "key" being the keyblade.
Now that Kingdom Hearts Union Cross is done are you gonna include it in your Kingdom Hearts Timeline?

This is awesome thanks as I have been unable to get passed Ralph as he is way OP and have no idea how to get stronger I much prefer the way Road to Darkness works while the grinding is annoying at least I know I can get stronger unlike KHUC Where I have no idea what I'm doing.

I doubt it we have no reason to believe that a heart reincarnated can ever come back to it's past self. We see Ephamer in some form help Sora in KH3.

@@RFDN0 Xehanort gets flashes of the players memory when he's in Destiny Islands. It wouldn't be too much of a stretch for Ephemer to reach out to his current self, especially since were in the Keyblade Graveyard at the time, which was an important place to him. Having Sora as being reincarnated from Ephemer would also give an explanation as to why some random long-dead Keyblade weilder he never heard of is suddenly talking to him.
By that point he had already given Ven's heart back to him, so there's not even any indirect connection between Sora and Ephemer.

I kinda prefer the final line being: “I’m so proud of my best friend”, It carries a lot more sentimental weight than the “He was a good friend” we got in the English version. That being said, this game was a masterpiece, and will live on forever in my heart and memories!
The game was clearly absolute trash like most mobile games, the story is interesting though.
@@CaptainFalcoyd That’s a little harsh, the game did drag here and there, but that only made the emotional connection stronger imo… like with a great television series, not every episode has to be a banger, sometimes it’s ok to appreciate when things slow down, so the excitement is only that much greater when things pick up.
As for the real money aspect, I was never a fan of that… but unfortunately that’s how practically all mobile apps work. I personally never paid for anything with real money in this game and still made it to the last 10-20 levels… then it became impossible for me to progress any further due to my medals finally becoming too weak for the enemies.
And no offense, but to say that the story is simply “interesting” is a HUGE disservice to the series. Kingdom Hearts is one of the most convoluted yet understandable pieces of art I’ve ever had the pleasure of experiencing! I’ve been a massive fan since the very beginning back in 2002-2003!
Even years later, I still feel like it was a critical disservice for Square Enix to terminate the game like they did, rather than converting the single player experience to a server-independant game for posterity. Yeah, it wouldn't have been the same without the competition and the rankings, but it would have at least preserved KHUX as a *game* in the series.
I know there were rumblings a while back about fan-projects, but as far as I can tell, none came to fruition.... I hope and pray that maybe someday, somehow, KHUX will be playable again. I also hope and pray that SE's exist strategy for Missing Link is not to leave the players high and dry AGAIN.

Okay, now I'm convinced. That Black Box is a literal black box. Why would Luxu, who's been asking question after question, not ask what his safety plan is? Because he was already told: it's what's in the Black Box.
More than likely, the main cast will team up with these masters and stop the darkness, then they reveal they're gonna reset the universe back to a certain point, most likely erasing what's come since.
Seeing as that includes them, they'll most likely fight the masters after that.
They switched up who was supposed to be unable to understand what fictional worlds are. The difference of MoM knowing because he's human, while darkness couldn't because it wasn't was IMPORTANT, I thought.

Now at the end we've another interesting point, who is the ancestor of eraqus? Brain was the most likely candidate since their design, but we have no idea of when he arrives at scala... Also with brain we're more sure seeing this translation, that its body was taken by luxu, even if in someway he was able to send him to the future anyway.

Assuming the same logic of Terras heart still being able to exist separately from Xehanort applies to Luxu-Brain, than all Luxu would have to do is possess a new vessel leaving Brain and his body behind…. Maybe the No Name keyblade with him.

So my one nagging question because time travel being a thing and maths. Are the 7 (possibly 8) darkness's in the present now because the 5 foretellers came back along with the (possible) ones with MoM and Luxu? Then there's the Vanitas situation making the possible 8th which we're (at least I'm not) sure was actually destroyed because of ends of the KH3 dlc where Sora travelled through Vens heart and a Darkness spoke to him.
