i tried to do the same base body mesh, but I saw that no matter how many times I attempt to make the same with the Slide Relax when making the torso, the topology didn't come out right, there were only V's in the middle, no tinkering with the scale and pivot point. When I changed from 3.6 to 3.3 version, the topology came exactly as how you do it. Yeah, the 3.6 is unstable...

Thank you for your comment! When UVunwrapping, the hair is separated for each part. but When applying textures, it is grouped into one object The reason why the head and body are separated is that if you want to make it a VRChat avatar, you need to separate the head.

Does anyone understand what the purpose of the lattice is? The one that is added at the beginning of the hair clothes rigging section. Is it just deforming the hair slightly? Thanks! I've been using blender for a while now, but I've never used lattice and it's basically the only thing in this video I can't grasp from watching.

最近口周りのメッシュを三角化することが多いけど、多分UVの面積を大きくすることでのテクスチャの滲みを解消するためなのかな(口周りとかはUVが細かくてテクスチャが滲みやすい)

口周りの三角面分割は、口のシェイプキーをつくるときにより滑らかな見た目にするために行っています
例えば、はわわっ!って感じの波打った口の形をつくるとき、頂点数が少ないと、ギザギザした見た目になってしまいます。分割を多くすることで滑らかな口の形を表現することができます
また、おっしゃる通り口部分のテクスチャはボケやすいですが、これは単にテクスチャの解像度の影響によります。
口部分のUVを大きく配置するか、テクスチャの解像度を上げることでこれは回避することができます

過去の解説動画だと頂点の微調整をプロポーショナル編集でする方法を紹介されていましたが、この動画を見ていてスカルプトで調整するのも便利そうだなと思いました。スカルプトも色々なツールがあってコツを掴むまで難しそうですが、勉強してみたいです。
前髪や後ろ髪のポリゴンにおいて、根本付近で連結させて辺にクリースをつけることで透けをなくしつつ毛束感も維持する方法が目から鱗でした。単純な方法ですが、ポリゴンの重なりがなくなって見た目もよくなるし頂点数も減りすっきりするのでいい方法だなと思いました。
また、クリスタでの連続曲線を使った模様の入れ方や影のつけ方も初めて知ったのでとても参考になりました。
また、Solidifyを使ったアウトラインの表示で、頂点グループを設定して顔や毛先にアウトラインが付かないようにマスクするコツも知れて良かったです。

衣装が複雑だったり、装飾品が多いとその分時間がかかってきますね
キャラモデリングで意識することはいろいろありますが、一番はやはり体のバランスじゃないかなと思います
腕の長さや、骨格など基本的な解剖学をベースにして体をつくることが大切だと思います

円などのメッシュは最初頂点だけなので、それで目や口の輪郭線をつくっています

UVよりはみ出すこと(マージンを取ること)にはとても意味があります
ColorマップのUVマージンが少ないと、UVを展開時より極端に拡大した場合に3DモデルのUV境界にUV外の色が見えてしまいます。
これを防ぐためにUV外にも色を付けています。
また、NormalマップなどをBakeする場合では、UV境界に近いところで凹凸情報が乱れることがあります
これを軽減するためにもマージンをとります。

ただ、使いまわしていると素体をつくるスキルが定着せず、また改善点にも気づけなくなってしまうためゼロから作っています。
また、動画的に、使いまわすよりゼロから形が出来上がっていく方が、個人的に見ていて面白いかなというのもあります
