And even in DX, it's so not worth it unless you're a true perfectionist lol. I'm not even gonna lie, I just use an action replay to get Metal Sonic at the beginning of my save files xD
I sadly 100%ed SA:DX several times within a few days in an attempt to unlock the final achievements, but the game is bugged due to the fact that the wrong damn patch was up. Let's just say I was not a happy camper.
How about fallout 3. You unlock a master level lock that you think leads to a bunker full of loot and it literally says. FUCK YOU. No joke it's just a wall with a green spray painted insult.
I have a couple: 1. Completing the Pokédex in X and Y. All you get is a key item that increases your odds of finding a shiny Pokémon, which is just a pallet swap with zero effect. Plus, a lot of them don't even look good. 2. Walking 5 million steps in Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory (Rebirth 3) - all of those in the video are nothing compared to this! It takes over 120 hours to do for a single character, and there are over 20 in the game! What you get is +1 to movement range, which is already available on half of the equipment in the game. There's literally no reward, no matter how broken, that would make this "challenge" remotely worthwhile...
Well, it wasn't as difficult in the earlier games (with the exception of Gen 3, thanks to the lack of backwards compatibility and the GameCube exclusives) due to the smaller number of Pokémon, and it will only get more and more tedious as the Pokédex expands. Still, I'm curious to see an un-worthwhile reward that can trump - or even come close to - the 5M steps for +1 movement "challenge" in Neptunia V...
Yeah it's got super bosses on it. Emerald & Ruby weapons are just challenges the reward of which is just saying you've killed them. That is the only point of super bosses
Point; There are about six different methods for beating Ruby and Emerald WEAPONs, from an AP Overflow glitch, to counter/Mime cheese, to some exploits with W-Item and Hades. If you got Knights before taking them on, then you already cleared one of the most balls-hard side-quests and actually BRED a Golden Chocobo, and don't NEED to beat the two Superbosses outside of Bragging Rights.
8- What's worse, there is already a Ruppee Grinding method that's as simple as enter Lost Woods, find skull kid, kick his ass, leave, repeat. 7- Never actually wanted to go after these. Was never an achievement junkie. 6- Hey it's just like KH's Phantom. Reward is something that would've been helpful on the boss itself. 5- This isn't so bad. 4- Never did this. Getting the last bananas were enough for me to go insane. 3- Not a good idea unless yall are some sort of binge and you've done the bathroom trips beforehand. 2- Wow...that's bad. 1- Wow...that's worse.
The million roses also changes the level select screens to be covered in roses. The King of All Cosmos also makes a record of the date that you rolled them in his congrats speech based on the PS2 internal clock. Still easier than getting that Cowbear.
To be fair, beating Emerald and Ruby Weapon is mainly for the challenge, not for the rewards. Like it is with most secret bosses in RPGs. In Final Fantasy VIII, when defeating Omega Weapon you get an useless item called "Proof of Omega" (which can be considered pretty much the very first concept of Achievement/Trophy), but we do it for the challenge.
Now now. Emerald weapon gives you a set of master materia. To get this, you need to present almost every materia, maxed out. This saves you a ton of grinding for that specific purpose (plus emerald weapon is a pretty cool fight if you don't cheese it with counterattack materia)
And you can use unlimited Knights against Ruby himself, no need to master it like idiot (srsly, mastered KotR materia takes half a fucking million of AP) or to abuse mime, you can spam it indefinetly and let other characters either stun him with Hades, put up a barrier, or just heal
Fallout New Vegas. Collect all 50 Blue Star Bottle Caps, and get access to a room with a bunch of worthless deputy badges, a unique laser pistol (that may or may not be better than what you have. Considering this quest takes most of the game and the damn pistol chews up ammo at a high rate...yeah) and...1500 bottle caps. Keep in mind that one of the "easiest" ways to get this is to collect bottles of the soda...which give you bottle caps. Admittedly there's a bit of a meta flavor to this one, though, as the in-universe original prize was just a story about the founding of the company. Which might not even be true. And it's implied that the guy who broke into the vault after hearing "legends" about the prize either bled to death or shot himself when he found out the prize was worthless. And when you consider it was originally just a promotion to sell soda before the war...yeah it's kind of hilarious. Unrewarding, but hilarious.
Resident Evil Revelations 2 for me. After working to get the under 3 hour gameplay nets you the infinite rocket launcher, which sounds great at first but there's a catch. Your chapter ranking will remain a C no matter what you do and you don't get as many BP points along with it. But that's just the first kick in the nuts because any unlocks per character requirement and infinite ammo for all weapons have the same effects as the rocket launcher so if you want a higher grade, you have to play with out any of these unlocks, so for hard-core players will enjoy this challenge, any casual or normal player will have to make a decision of whether they want enjoy mayhem or get good.
Back when rb2 was still popular, Me and 3 other people (drummerbeast, Tenfrente, Regentate) did Bladder of steel as a full band. there was a 2-3 minute Delay after the last song ended before we got the trophy we were yelling at eachother trying to figure out who paused. when the achievement finally showed up we were all overcome with happiness, great times.
I'm a complete rube and did the Million Roses task, and while I can't say exactly how long it took, I know at least a percentage of it. See, to amuse myself, and as a gift to my mom, I used our CD/cassette player to make cassette tapes of CDs I had for her car while I was playing. I know I made at least ten, and that I made them double-sided by flipping the tapes over and repeating once the CD was over. That's 70 minutes times ten, divided by 60 to get hours, and then doubled for both sides. Just over TWENTY-THREE HOURS. And that's not ALL the time I spent rolling, just the QUANTIFIABLE WASTE OF MY LIFE. I'm not still bitter what are you talking about
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Sky: Completing Destiny Tower, the hardest dungeon in the game, weighing in at 99 floors, with no items or money brought in, all stats reset to LV 1, and just your leader. What do you get for besting it? A held item that doubles damage output. When you would most likely find items like the hunger-lessening Stamina band or ailment prevention items like Pecha Scarf more useful. Weeeeeeee. At least in Rescue Team's Purity Forest, when you beat it you got to recruit Celebi!
Dark Cloud: Conquering the Demon Shaft's 100 floors of hell rewards you with a shitty sword. What's the point when I defeated the Dark Genie with a slingshot shooting furry?
Here's a good one: Super Mario Sunshine. There's 120 Shine Sprites to collect in the game, and there's a bonus for collecting them all, but all it is is a photo that say's "Have a relaxing vacation!" (I believe that's what it says, but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong)
Another one from a Zelda game is completing the advanced Treacherous Tower. 50 levels of increasingly difficult enemies and what do you get? An upgrade to your lamp so you can attack with it! It actually does pretty high damage, but its range is pathetic! By the time you're well-equipped enough to complete the tower, you already have a way better more varied arsenal. Plus, the lvl. 3 Master Sword does the same amount damage and is way easier to get
They didn't include the 100 hidden movie reels in the Godfather video game that only gradually as you collect ten at a time or so unlock you thirty second clips from the original movie, so...hours of work to uncover like ten minutes of a feature length movie.
-GodHead The Binding of Isaac Rebirth, it's the second most DIFFICULT item to unlock (first one is Mega Blast in Afterbirth Dlc), you need to kill every Final Boss with The Lost (who doesn't has any health and die in any hit) in Hard Mode, and when you unlock it, you almost will not find it in any run, your chance to find an Angel Room is 25% below an 75% of a Devil Room, but the Devil Room NEVER has a 100% to appear, the Devil Room appears when you finish the floor, killing the boss, -if you end the floor without being hurted a single time, you get a +99% bonus of appearing, -if you kill the boss without damage (but you have been damage in previous room on the floor) you get a +35% -If you have seen a Devil Room 2 rooms before, it multiplies to 0,5 -but if you find one less than 2 floors before, it multiplies to 0,25 -destroying the Shopkeeper give you a +10%. EVEN with that, there's runs where you NEVER find a single Devil Room, and the Angel Room has a 25% chance to replace it IF you have seen other Devil Room Before, so, Angel Rooms start appearing in Caves/Catacombs/Flooded Caves I and forward (If you count the Basement/Cellar/Burning Basement I never appears even with Goathead equipped) And, many times, Angel Rooms directly only has pickups, chests without anything almost all the time, so, GodHead is that item you will NEVER find. -Jeff's items Earthbound/Mother 2, theres many "broken" items Jeff can may repair, depending of your IQ for that character, there are items Jeff never repair, or need a very large IQ to use, like the Baddest Beam, the Earthbeam and etc. and they are just wwasting space in your inventory. -the Fruit Spelunky, this is an mysterious item which you get when you sacrifice a Gift Box in Kali's Altar, its function is easy, toss it to King Yama and it'll be VERY Weak, literally one Hp, so, any single hit can kill it, but it can only be obtained in very first floors, so, you'll have to take that fruit and take it to the Hell (final level (there are 4 floors each 4 levels, 16 principal levels, plus the Black Market, the City of Gold (which you need to get the Necronomicon to go Hell), and 3 extra levels in Hell (the last one is Yama's Lair), so, 16+2+3 are a total of 21 levels, your fruit HAS TO SURVIVE THAT LONG, including Olmec's battle and the encounter with Anubis and Anubis II (you need his Scepter and he will reincarnate in Anubis II on the City of Gold if you touch the Necronomicon), IDK but I think that is a unnecesary risk.
1) Final Fantasy VIII: defeating Omega. 2) Final Fantasy X: defating the dark eons. 3) Croc 2: getting all the eggs (ending doesn't change at all). 4) Spyro: year of the dragon: getting all the eggs (if you get all of them a baby dragon burbs at you). 5) Batman Arkham Asylum: solving all the riddles 6) Super Mario Sunshine: getting all the stars (you only get a postcard after the credits). 7) Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing: installing the game. XD 8) The legend of Zelda - Wind Waker: solving the puzzles in the teacher's house. 9) No one lives forever: getting all the intelligence items (nothing happens). 10) Tomb raider 3: getting all the secrets.
To be fair to Arkham Asylum, you do get to hear a radio transmission of what sounds like a SWAT team kicking down the door of Enigma's hideout and making him get onto the ground. He whines about how it is SO not over, but you know for a fact that he has lost and you are Batman.
My induction into the achievement world was gears of war. When i first got all of the cog tags i just knew i would get infinite ammo or some kind of cool camo. You know, like metal gear! So i called my friend (die hard Xbox fan boy) and asked him how to access my reward. He informed me that you get something called an "achievement". "The fuck is that" I replied. He explained to me the whole concept of gamer score and I have absolutely, positively, utterly loathed the entire idea of achievements every since. Even the term "achievement" is an insulting (not by accident, I believe) reminder. Microsoft thumbing their nose at us saying "see you could of been learning a musical instrument, working on a cure for a disease, learning how to paint, working the stock market etc, but instead you spent your time working on an 'achievement' congrats sucker"
getting three stars in every mission in luigi's mansion dark moon. you get a tiny symbol next to your save. getting all the weapons in hyrule warriors. by the time you get all the weapons and unlock the ability to unlock legendary skills you're gonna have equipment way better than the master sword. the master word is also only a two slot weapon locked to legendary skills.
um...EarthBound has more than just the Sword of Kings & Gutsy Bat as 1/128 drops....there's Paula's best weapon the Magic Fry Pan, dropped by Chomposaurs in the Lost Underworld; the Broken Parabolic/Broken Antenna dropped by Uncontrollable Spheres in Lumine Hall which Jeff can repair for his best weapon; Paula's best ribbon, the Goddess Ribbon, dropped by Ghost of Starman; and the Star Pendant, which offers the best protection and is dropped by Major Psychic Psychos in Fire Spring. I've gotten all but the Gutsy Bat ( mostly due to Nintendo Power messing up in the guide and listing the wrong enemy ), with 3 Star Pendants every run.
Normal Krakens in Earthbound also drop Gutsy Bat. So basically, if you're crazy lucky, you'll get it when you fight the only mandatory one. If you're still crazy lucky, you may also get it from one of the Krakens in Magicant. Otherwise, it's nothing to get hyped about.
Imageflexion Cartoons No that's actually a myth you can only get the gutsy bat from Bionic Krakens which are in the last areas of the game. You will not get a Gutsy bat from any other Kraken
Super Smash Bros for the Wii U. Completing the challenge board nets you 1 million coins or something like that, which you'll already have way more accumulated because of the attempts to clear the challenge board. Then the 3DS version, after completing the three 50 challenge boards, gives you a pat on the back.
Not going to include beating Margaret/Elizabeth/Theodore in Persona 3? Margaret gives you an item that does nothing, and liz/theo require very specific stratagem to even hope to defeat and you get an item that you can't use against her/him in future playthroughs, you can also get said item from repeatedly leveling messiah and soft resetting until you get them.
I've got 101% in DK64, multiple times, in fact. It's really not that bad, I love that game. As far as beating the weapons in FFVII, what COULD they give you that would really matter? It's always been about the badge of honor, and the same could be said of Omega Weapon in FFVIII (I've done those too :D) or Ozma in FFIX. And hey, the Gex series was great. I didn't like the first one quite as much, but Gex 2 and 3 are a lot of fun. Completion bonuses are nice, but sometimes you just do them because you enjoy the game and want to experience all the content.
Yharnam Stone in Bloodborne. Spend 20+ hours clearing the hardest the game has to offer in chalice dungeons and youre given a worthless stone that does nothing. One of the hardest things ive ever experienced in my gaming career, next to evil within akumu mode
So true. Some Devs just adds these worthless collectible to add more "content" to their games. I don't mind scouring the entire map if they give us satisfying rewards or at least a story behind all these collectibles. But most of the time it's just a waste of time and effort.
Gez's ending is exactly the same reward you get for beating The Lost World: Jurassic Park on PS1 if you manage to find every single DNA Strand in the game from every level (which are not hard to get I might add). Only difference is that you are treated to a 1 minute video that has Ian Malcolm congratulating you for doing the task but like with the Gex ending, Ian tells you to get outside, get active.
Play 2K Showcase in WWE 2K16 and get Mr. MacMahon as a manager. That's cool! Only problem, YOU HAVE MR. MACMAHON FROM THE START!!!! Basically, if you scroll through the managers, there's gonna be 2 Mr. MacMahons in a row. Nice one 2K games...
In Super Mario games, you work really hard only to find out that you did all that to save the princess of the Mushroom Kingdom and she gives you ANOTHER F***ING QUEST TO SAVE HER AGAIN
Basically any superboss from a JRPG applies here.Like beating the incredibly difficult Lingering Sentiment in Kingdom Hearts 2 rewards you with a little crown on Soras head. That doesnt carry over to New games or anything. But at least the fight itself is reward enough as that boss is one of the best in the entire series.
What about Sonic Adventure 2 Battle for the Game Cube? You beat the game 100%, something that will take hundreds if not thousands of hours, and then you get a new stage. It is up front with you about what you get, and the stage is pretty cool, but still. The amount of work in just insane!
The feathers in Assassin's Creed II pissed me off. I was actually interested and hoped Ezio's mom would snap out of it. But no, she says "thank you" and returns to her catatonic state.
Don't forget about Dead Rising's 7 Day Survivor achievement for... A pair of boxer shorts. 14 hours of straight gaming to run around in your underwear.
How about getting 1,160 kills each on 5 different pistols (5,800 kills in total) in a massive online PVP-only FPS game (this generally takes +130 hours to do, as you're fighting other players who are using superior primary weapons most of the time instead of pistols) just to get a shiny copy of the default pistol in Planetside 2 that is literally the worst pistol available to your faction in the game? The default pistols are good, but the shiny reward version is horribly gimped to the point of being the worst pistol available to your faction. (When I say the worst pistol in the game, that's not counting the joke/novelty "pistols" like the snowball gun and flare gun that they make available only for the particle effects to celebrate christmas or the 4th of july, of course.)
The final power up in spyro 2. Collect EVERYTHING gems, orbs etc. and you unlock the power up! Infinite fireballs ! That's great! If I had a use for them now.
LIES! The 101st percent doesn't have ANYTHING to do with Banana Coins! Rather, you must gather all 20 Banana Fairies, then return to the Fairy Queen. This gives you the Golden Rare Banana, which is the REAL trigger for the 101st percent! Now, if you can get a 102nd percent by gathering those coins, THEN it would deserve a spot here.
I'm thinking of the fiend battles in Shin Megami Tensei IV. You have a 1/256 chance of encountering a stupidly hard boss that's probably going to kick your ass anyway. You can fuse them and add them to your team after defeating them, but they're the hardest bosses in the game, except for DLC, so there really isn't a reason to.
What about the lighthouse quest in Ultima 9? You have to scour the entire world and do an insane amount of backtracking to find four coloured gemstones, and all you get for it is 100 gold.
Guys, I just realized something horrible...I've been reading Skulltula as Skulluta for years. How could I have made such a grievous error all these years?
What about Dark Souls 2? Getting all 4 crowns. You have to conquer Brume, Loyce and Shulva to earn the crown of each one. Facing the games hardest bosses. You get the Kings Crown by default if you follow the path to the true(?) ending. But... The reward is, that with all 4, you never hollow. Ever. If you wear one that is. But.. by the time you beat the DLC, you've likely beaten the game. You don't hollow if you die as a Phantom in co-op and.. they don't carry into NG+. Making them, the most pointless reward ever. By the time you never hollow, the games pretty much done. (Unless you're hyper elite and can beat the DLC at early levels.. but even that leaves a small handful of bosses left)
wyrm hero blade, FFXII. Beat all bosses to get it, after which the sword completely loses its use.(slowest charge time in the game, but highest combo rate).
Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver. Your Pokemon follows you in those games and you can talk to it. If they're in tall grass on specific routes based on their Nature, there's a small chance they'll find a golden leaf. Find 5 of these with one Pokemon, and you're rewarded with... a star on your trainer card.
I vehemently disagree on the Ruby and Emerald Weapons. I can defeat the Emerald one without the Round Knights, so I can get what I need to defeat Ruby. As only Extreme damage can harm him worth anything. Or just kill a lot of enemies with Vincent and shoot them both with Death Sentence.
believe it or not I 101% DK64 in the last couple years really. I went back to it and I did it within, I want to say a couple weeks. But the hours put in were massive.
3 words: the stones of barenziah. How about spending hours collecting stones just to be rewarded with another quest. You don't get money you don't get a cool feature. It's just not worth it
Castlevania - Curse of Darkness Stealing Death's pulse. It's the second to last boss not counting the hidden Legion and Nuclias bosses. And it lets you creat Death's Scythe. The strongest weapon in the game. Problem is, besides Nuclias, all the remaining bosses are resistant to darkness. And Nuclias moves so fast and hits so hard that you're better off making the 7 bladed sword, just for the speed alone.
No mention of beating resident evil 2 in under an 1:30 without saving 6 times in a row for a 3 minute mini game of a character capcom never intended to use again? Sonic adventure 2 who remembers grip gloves? You know. Those neat gloves for sonic that allow him to bottle the animal and throw it at an enemy? Smash bro melee. Beating the 100 man melee with one life for Falco only to have him be a reskinned fox. Never land card battles. There are 6 cards that can only be gained by farming the final boss and after fighting him 20-100 times what are you gonna do with those cards?
Getting a crown and, I believe, an ap boost for defeating the Lingering Will in KH2 FM is a very bad reward, especially if you don't know any of his move set and are going at it for the first time
It wasnt Final Fantasy but I loved Gex. Its a perfect example of those first 3D cartoony goofy games with suggestive jokes. Like Glover, that chameleon game, or conker and banjo.
That second one was actually a big part of what turned me off of the entire franchise! Speaking of which, I now have a game I don't care about anymore and can't trade in to Gamestop for more than pennies...
There is nothing I hate more in games then completing a very hard challenge just to be rewarded with a "good job."
Well, can you think of anything better aside from just words or achievements?
Catch all 150 Pokemon in the original Red. You get a certificate saying "Congratulations"
Yeah, but at least it's not today's current 721, and now you get the oh so worth it Shiny Charm for your work :3
Sonic Adventure 1. Get all the emblems. You get NOTHING, you LOSE, GOOD DAY SIR.
arcengal except if you have DX
at least in sonic adventure 2 doing all the arduous tasks gets you nostalgia XD... wtf sega
Let's just say I was not a happy camper.
i thought i read somewhere you get metal sonic, as a playable character?
Getting to level 40 in Bowsers Inside Story with Bowser, Mario, and Luigi just to get a message that says "Good job!"
Christ thats all you get? Damn it! though i guess its not so bad. I usually finish the game in the mid 30s
Gage Odell yeah, I always beat it at level 34 in bowsers and dream team for a very odd reason...
No Man's Sky: The entire game
Beating the Ruby and the Emerald weapons is my greatest video game accomplishment but the narrator right about the risk to reward.
How about fallout 3. You unlock a master level lock that you think leads to a bunker full of loot and it literally says. FUCK YOU. No joke it's just a wall with a green spray painted insult.
But opening Master Lock doesn't take any effort so it doesn't matter
Also don't you actually get exp for unlocking locks?
the full unown side Quest in pokémon (heart)gold, (Soul)silver and cristal. you only get a thank you.
A THANK YOU!
***** what most people don't print. And ragequit instead.

Hi.
how about completing pokedex in pokemon red/blue and fire red/leaf green. Only thing you get... is a fucking dyploma
Well, it wasn't as difficult in the earlier games (with the exception of Gen 3, thanks to the lack of backwards compatibility and the GameCube exclusives) due to the smaller number of Pokémon, and it will only get more and more tedious as the Pokédex expands.
Still, I'm curious to see an un-worthwhile reward that can trump - or even come close to - the 5M steps for +1 movement "challenge" in Neptunia V...
im sure the DK64 one is wrong. i got 101% without all the coins. you just need all 201 golden bananas
The Golden Bananas count towards the Percentage. Nothing else, but this list seems poorly researched.
Yeah it's got super bosses on it. Emerald & Ruby weapons are just challenges the reward of which is just saying you've killed them. That is the only point of super bosses
Yep, coins are irrelevant to the percentage. This guy has no idea what he is talking about
yeah but you get master materia which is still pretty good. this person just sucks at beating ruby and emerald
I think this video should be called "8 game rewards that I am now aiming claim". That's right, I have accepted the challenge this video has given.
this should become a series, because there are a shit ton of games that have pointless rewards
no mans sky: reach center of galaxy, restart your adventure
coins are not counted towards the 101%, the final bananna you get from the bannana fairies gives you 101
Point; There are about six different methods for beating Ruby and Emerald WEAPONs, from an AP Overflow glitch, to counter/Mime cheese, to some exploits with W-Item and Hades.
Still easier than getting that Cowbear.

isocryd or luck out and find that lucky 7's exists on accident, or abuse chocobo to get it yourself

PS: When you break that sword (or let alone EVERY weapon), it's gone forever.
The sword looks cool at least even though the modifiers on it are mostly useless.
1/128 chance for the earthbound thing? Try grinding multiple zodiac spears in Final Fantasy 12, its basically a 1/1000 chance
but zodiac spears are actualy usefull...
Yuuva 1/10000 chance to get end game accessories from specific monsters in black desert online, I have so far gotten 6 and it's been torture
3 Master Sword does the same amount damage and is way easier to get
"You could have cured cancer." No I wouldn't. If I had the brains to pull that off I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be playing Gex.
They didn't include the 100 hidden movie reels in the Godfather video game that only gradually as you collect ten at a time or so unlock you thirty second clips from the original movie, so...hours of work to uncover like ten minutes of a feature length movie.
-GodHead The Binding of Isaac Rebirth, it's the second most DIFFICULT item to unlock (first one is Mega Blast in Afterbirth Dlc), you need to kill every Final Boss with The Lost (who doesn't has any health and die in any hit) in Hard Mode, and when you unlock it, you almost will not find it in any run, your chance to find an Angel Room is 25% below an 75% of a Devil Room, but the Devil Room NEVER has a 100% to appear,
the Devil Room appears when you finish the floor, killing the boss,
-if you end the floor without being hurted a single time, you get a +99% bonus of appearing,
-if you kill the boss without damage (but you have been damage in previous room on the floor) you get a +35%
-If you have seen a Devil Room 2 rooms before, it multiplies to 0,5
-but if you find one less than 2 floors before, it multiplies to 0,25
-destroying the Shopkeeper give you a +10%.
EVEN with that, there's runs where you NEVER find a single Devil Room, and the Angel Room has a 25% chance to replace it IF you have seen other Devil Room Before, so, Angel Rooms start appearing in Caves/Catacombs/Flooded Caves I and forward (If you count the Basement/Cellar/Burning Basement I never appears even with Goathead equipped)
And, many times, Angel Rooms directly only has pickups, chests without anything almost all the time, so, GodHead is that item you will NEVER find.
5) Batman Arkham Asylum: solving all the riddles
6) Super Mario Sunshine: getting all the stars (you only get a postcard after the credits).
7) Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing: installing the game. XD
8) The legend of Zelda - Wind Waker: solving the puzzles in the teacher's house.
He whines about how it is SO not over, but you know for a fact that he has lost and you are Batman.
wariodude128 Yes. I know that. Thanks for your comment anyway.
Completion bonuses are nice, but sometimes you just do them because you enjoy the game and want to experience all the content.
this guys jokes and banter were excellent. moar plz.
Is nobody going to mention Super Mario Sunshine? That totally deserves a spot on the list.
I finished the endless set without pausing almost until my power went out. That was the day I broke the mic. FeelsBadMan
Spiderman 2 had one of the biggest middlefinger after the final mission.
Wow, those two games are mean. We aren't no lifes, we play these games to have fun.
Cookie run: collect 100 warm hearts and all you get is a new cookie
#5 is exactly a shiny hunters problem in Pokemon games
How about collecting all 150 pokemon in red and blue, all you get is a poster in your room. lol
Actually, the banana coins in DK64 do NOT count towards your completion totals, only golden/bananas, medals, the two company coins and crowns.
The feathers in Assassin's Creed II pissed me off. I was actually interested and hoped Ezio's mom would snap out of it. But no, she says "thank you" and returns to her catatonic state.
Now I get that south park episode
Don't forget about Dead Rising's 7 Day Survivor achievement for... A pair of boxer shorts. 14 hours of straight gaming to run around in your underwear.
What was the name of number 2?
KH2 Final Mix, the mushroom 13 giving you a keyblade? Fine. The Lingering Will and the Data Organization giving you a purely cosmetic crown? Less fine
AlphaXTitania - Dude, I found out a week ago that Donkey Kong Country 2 is called "Diddy's Kong-quest" and not "Diddy Kong's Quest"...
The guy in this video sounds like he had to go collect all of these immediately before making this video
what's the intro song?
I have that Bladder of Steel achievement for Rock Band 2 and you bet your ass I'm damn proud having that achievement, idc if I only got gamerscore
ewwwww bladders
Hey! I found a new favorite 'lists' channel. Sounds reward enough to me. :3
Don't need Knights of the round to beat the weapons, beat them all without.
This was clearly brought out before breath of the wild. 999 korok seeds is insane
And a leaf crown on the Pokemon's profile, but that is wiped if it gets transferred to the next generation game as that game doesn't track it!
But those are easy to get at least. It's the easiest star to get on your trainer card anyway.
4:32 - SimCity 4 background music! Yay!
Hundreds of hours on a side quest ?
Rock band's endless Setlist was kinda fun
Surprised the phantom Bow from battlefield 4 didn't make the list.
lightsaber dead rising 1, literally required 14 straight hours of gameplay without quiting
Let others play when you dont (want to) play.
Yea but at hour 13 my game crashed
Terrence Campbell how are still Alive at this point
It's just not worth it
Undertale: You get the mystery key...you unlock the house and you wasted all your gold on a backstory -_-
woo i bought it
its 999999 gild\gold
MagicalAlphysGamer no it's 6000
I thought iit was 99999 must have been in early development when I played!
MagicalAlphysGamer probably xd but I got it for 6000
I came for the Giant's Knife, who else did?
Morgan Lockrow don't get me started.
Carlton Roberts Too bad! 😄
So I'm the loser for playing the game and enjoying myself... while the devs sat for an hour thinking of ways to insult me?
Surprising that I didn't see The Division's crafting system in the list.
Yeah I know,
You forgot number 0 which is collecting all pokemon in all pokemon games
Castlevania - Curse of Darkness Stealing Death's pulse. It's the second to last boss not counting the hidden Legion and Nuclias bosses. And it lets you creat Death's Scythe. The strongest weapon in the game. Problem is, besides Nuclias, all the remaining bosses are resistant to darkness. And Nuclias moves so fast and hits so hard that you're better off making the 7 bladed sword, just for the speed alone.
"miss congeniality 2 on vhs"
No mention of beating resident evil 2 in under an 1:30 without saving 6 times in a row for a 3 minute mini game of a character capcom never intended to use again?
Sonic adventure 2 who remembers grip gloves? You know. Those neat gloves for sonic that allow him to bottle the animal and throw it at an enemy?
Smash bro melee. Beating the 100 man melee with one life for Falco only to have him be a reskinned fox.
Never land card battles. There are 6 cards that can only be gained by farming the final boss and after fighting him 20-100 times what are you gonna do with those cards?
...I liked Gex...
Me too. Fuck that guy lol :D
I miss it so much!!!!!! I clicked on the vid because I saw Gex in the picture ;-; and Ruby Weapon
I really want to play that! These guys are just idiots.
what about mario sunshine
Ooh Gex on the 3DO. I remember that ending. I was in for the long haul and was proud when I did it ^o^
Getting a crown and, I believe, an ap boost for defeating the Lingering Will in KH2 FM is a very bad reward, especially if you don't know any of his move set and are going at it for the first time
GEX was a awesome series.
I literally did all of these except the rockband one, and the only one I was pissed at was Final Fantasy
It wasnt Final Fantasy but I loved Gex. Its a perfect example of those first 3D cartoony goofy games with suggestive jokes. Like Glover, that chameleon game, or conker and banjo.
Crash and Spyro as well!
Actually you get nothing at all for collecting all 949 coins in DK64. That last percentage point seems to be completely unrelated.
That second one was actually a big part of what turned me off of the entire franchise! Speaking of which, I now have a game I don't care about anymore and can't trade in to Gamestop for more than pennies...
You guys ever hear of the slime staff from terraria?
K Squiggles but the slime staff is only good pre hardmode and I've gotten 2-3 just from random killing XDrarwr
