Oh what a teaser! Must mean DCS World 2 and NTTR are close if the tutorial is in DCS World 2 with NTTR. Thanks Wags!

Nice landing Wags! Like your Dora landing video, it's all about knowing and staying within certain parameters.

Whoooooo man! DCS World 2.0 looks amazing! I can't wait to get in the mig and tangle with some sabres too!

Beautiful. I was really surprised today, when I was reading MiG-15 product page on DCS website. ED is mentioning features WIP, which allows smoke or foging inside the cockpit!!!! :-O YES!

***** Maybe it's easy to do (not for me), but it's gonna be used in flight sim for the first time! Yeah...there is icing in Cliffs of Dover, I think, but no fogging and no smoke. So it's not something to overlook. And company is ED. DCS is a product. :-)

***** I see. Thank You. Can't wait to see it, if they will really include it into the sim. Thanks for update.

That was a beautiful landing. I hope I'll walk away from my first one too :)

Great job Matt. What is it that you do? Do you work for eagle dynamics cause Iv heard your voice before in the game.

If Leatherneck approved, would you be willing to voice the MiG-21 tutorial missions?

Hi Matt, dont know if you monitor the channel for questions but would love to know, why do you increase the engine RPM? Is it to compensate for the drag of flaps? I am more used to general aviation aircraft where you use flaps to allow you to fly a slower, steeper approach. Is it a quirk of the MiG that you use flap with extra throttle? Secondly, how are you judging your velocity vector to "just short of the runway" without a proper indicator? Is it basically a VFR-type landing, maybe using the pipper as a gauge?

The engine has a glacially slow response time, so you want to keep it at a high RPM in case of a go-around or IFE.

Ah ok, so does high RPM not necessarily equate to actual thrust, rather just POTENTIAL thrust? Maybe going to to have to add this to my DCS hangar and study a bit I can see :)

      Mirandorl No man!

Mirandorl Because of the slow throttle response you want power to be relatively high in case of emergency. It's faster to shed extra drag by raising gear and flaps than it is to increase thrust by throttling up.

So can we expect Edge to be released with the Mig15???

  • @godfreynet

Why does this video say "pre-release" and the previous ones say "pre-alpha"... is EDGE done? ;)
