    Thank you for making this video and addressing the '"PRS" issue. I have spent literally hundreds of hours perfecting tones on my HX Stomp board only to get to the church direct to house system to find everything is different through the house PA. I have been thinking about going the Power Cab route see if that will improve the tone consistency.

    Thanks Doug! This demo gives me way more insight into my new Plus cabinets and all the potential uses. Besides the modeler uses, I can’t wait to see how they work in my acoustic duo as monitor/FOH speakers from our digital mixer. Great playing And sound ideas Doug!

      Hey Bob - SO sorry for the s-l-o-w reply! Just seeing this message. Hope you're enjoying your Power Cab experience. You Pluses have dual ins and that means you can run them using the modeling AND without for exactly the kind of monitoring use you're thinking. I'll keep an eye open for your reply:)

    I've def heard people saying "it can't work as a dedicated bass amp" and that's fine for me personally since I've got a great bass amp. The use case that I'm wondering about is will it work for monitoring your bass playing on stage? I'd do a DI out of my Helix for the PA, but hearing yourself through monitors that venues provide is inconsistent, and my hope is that the powercab would work as my own personal monitor with just bass in it. I'm not using it to provide tone for the audience or recording etc, just for my own monitoring of my bass playing on stage. Any thoughts on this?

    Doug, liked your content, Line 6 dream rig : Variax, HD500X, Pair of DT50s and pair of LT3s. 👌 .
    I have the same (mono) now. Will switching to a pair Powercabs be an upgrade in sound quality? I need to reduce the rig weight 😩.

    Great video , my question I have a pair of line 6 stagesource that I play in stereo through line 6 link, with the helix if I was to get the Powercab 112 without l 6 link can I still get the full stereo sound ?

    • @WorshipMusicianMag
      @WorshipMusicianMag  5 лет назад +2

      Hey Art! If you use two PowerCabs yes. My go to rig is a pair of 112 Plus cabs which are connected to my Helix via L6 link. But you can just as easily come out of your analog outputs on 'regular' (not Plus) PowerCab 112. However, if possible I'd suggest getting a pair of the PowerCab 112 Plus cabs, it's worth the extra investment, IMHO:) Cheers ~ Doug;)

    As much as I appreciated the *great* demo, I have to say that I found myself waiting for the sweet melodies throughout. Wonderfully expressive playing.

    I still don't understand how people are not talking about the latency on these modelers. My old Digitech 2112 has no perceptible playing latency, while my Line 6 Pod HD 500 has at least double the playing latency. This is not Asio latency just the playing feel latency directly from guitar to modeller to outputs on clean no FX patches.

    My PowerCab ia not capable to play bass at all. Anything on E string is too quet or resonates and farts if you increase the volume.

    • @iromanovsky
      @iromanovsky 5 лет назад

      Just a 4-string P bass, nothing special. I tried Ampeg preamp and BOSS GT-1000 in transparent mode. Same result. At the same time, Laney LFR-112 sounds well in the same configuration.

    • @WorshipMusicianMag
      @WorshipMusicianMag  5 лет назад +2

      Hey @@iromanovsky - sorry to hear that:( Although it is primarily designed for guitar, I've had great luck using this on Bass, and with plenty of volume. Noting you've got a bunch of great gear, chances are you know to watch for clipping on the input which might explain the flatulent sound you described.
