I guess I am pretty lucky and decided to keep most of the blast powder from all the skele's that my villagers killed while playing so I have a ton of it.

Did you actually personally see the grappler garden recharge work and do it yourself? There is a video where I saw it work but the video was old because the guy walked on a campfire and didn't burn, so it was quite obviously pre-patch and fake. I think it was all a rumor and never worked, and I don't think they bother with micropatching all the servers.
Many said it in Forums and such. So why not check. Epic makes many hotfixes on the fly all the time. They have already done that in december with the 10-30 charges increase in GRAPPLER. But, you might be Right. But now i know :)

It never worked. I tried the garden thing the first day after the patch. It doesn't do anything.
@@DanglishGamesWasn't the december patch also when the stacks changed from 30-50 and multiple other things. Sounds like a monthly patch schedule.
