Note to anyone watching now: the chest durability glitch no longer works since epic raised the durability on tools. Grapplers are also much better now as they have 30 charges instead of 10. Building near the desert really is huge too, my base was so far from the desert that the run would take literal minutes to make it one way.
If you keep a hearty charm on, it can negate low temp or high temp damage. You remain at full HP, you get the temp hearts. So long as your at the first layer of hot/cold, the amount of damage and how fast it happens will be negated by the charm replacing the temp hearts.
I've been using two regen plus defense because it stacks every time you take damage, so i starve and die to heat, increasing my defense but regen faster than I die
Also a neat trick to gather all sorts of resources early game very quickly- find a bigger size tree, on some high ground like a hill. Cut it down and let the trunk roll on its own or with a push from your character and watch as it destroys/mines/kills everything in its path. Even better with friends as the combined strength of 2-4 players can turn it into a giant steam roller (eventually it will whittle down and break from all the mayhem but just find another, rinse, repeat).
Suggestion: I explored my map a bit with nothing on me. Whenever I came across something interesting I would pick up small stones nearby, make a marker and place it there. That way I could mark important locations for later exploration and open up the maps view without losing anything. Then whenever I'm ready I'd gear up and already have points of interest marked on my map that I can immediately go to.
i mean ig this works but overal speed i think it’s better to progress through the game and just created one of those flying planes they are much faster and not to expensive u can build them at the beginning of mid game
EXTRA TIP: Carry 6 planks with you ALWAYS. You can 1. Craft a chest anywhere to repair all your tools (including the grappler which makes it actually useful) or 2. craft a bed once you get to the right town level, which as already stated is good for respawns (alternatively you can craft a bed with 10 wood early game and carry both with you)
A tip for killing sand rollers is if you block their roll with your shield, you do double damage for a bit of time while they are stunned which lets me kill them easily and quickly.
Honestly the early foods you get are really amazing, even just farming raspberries or vines in a full stack will allow you get an abundance of eggs, so early game try to farm as much eggs as you can then make them into fried eggs, it recovers so much hunger and 6 hearts of HP, early game foods are much better than late game foods funnily enough. Once you unlock snowberry shakes though, try to get plenty of those, as it's the best amount of healing as well as prominent for the most important Dry Desert biome since Brightcore is so important.
MAJOR TIPS, READ THIS! Something to keep in mind, if you put the grappler in a chest when it has 1 use left and then break the chest, it resets the grappler back to 10 uses. It makes the grappler very work getting. Another tip, if you take the barrels of TNT (found near old broken down buildings) and throw them into clusters of trees, or cactuses then it is a quick way to farm the dessert snd frost biome logs
Tip 16, nothing can survive water, so bait enemy’s into it for an instant kill, haven’t tried it with the big dudes yet but really helped get me sand shells early on
Tried luring them to water, they kinda spin around in circles on the shore looking a bit lost but will still try use their ranged attack. Don't know if they pop or mine was just dumb lol
You can find sand shells at the beach/tropical coast areas. Access to the cool headed charm is easier due to the creature being found at both locations.
Thanks for the great tips. My tip is for people starting a new server in Survival, set up a different server with the same seed in Sandbox mode so you can fly around and explore the map faster before setting up your town.
How do you check your world seed? I’m playing this on ps5 rn since it’s a lot more comfortable but I usually play pc but I don’t see any options to even see the seed of your world
Another tip for gardening anything like snowberrys. Instead of waiting for them to grow, when you first place them like at 1:06 if you start to mine those “seedlings” they will pop out as fully grown berrys not just the seeds. You can then take those to the grain mill and repeat the process to get a ton of whatever you want. Spicy pepper, snow berrys, etc
How do you mine the soil patch? With a shovel, which I just tried and nothing happened. Sorry for not understanding. When do you do this? Right after you put the seed in the soil patch storage square?
As of now, when it comes to dying of starvation, heat, or cold, there is a way to negate all of them with one item. It allowed me to stay in the desert caves infinitely even though I took fire damage the entire time. There is an uncommon charm that gives you two additional hearts if you're already full health, and it regenerates itself very quickly, meaning even if you take instances of damage from starvation, heat, or cold, it'll regenerate it self. This allowed me to much more quickly and effectively progress through the game, especially in regards to those desert caves.
Id reccomend getting like, 2 or 3 grapplers because you can use one until it has 1 use, then switch and switch again before finally repairing, giving you lots of uses to be able to have fun with it while also not losing them and having time to use the repair glitch
My personal tip: Invest in slap berries. Slap juice is such an incredible source of nourishment. It doesn't fill your hunger as fast as some other food, but it's basically like a better version of corn on the cob since it provides temporary hearts. It also stacks with fried eggs and corn on the cob, so you can have multiple movement speed buffs at the same time. It also only takes one second to drink. I highly recommend it.
Just some additional tips, the rolling crabs can be taken out quickly once they roll attack and you block with shield it leaves them vulnerable to continuous attack. When farming, don't break down the green stock after collecting the berries/veggies. Leave it so it can continuously grow. Get a grain mill to keep expanding your seed gathering and plant more for your benefit.
I'm still starting I guess because I haven't seen a lot of the items mentioned here, there's so many things to do, I love the game. That durability reset exploit sounds so good btw.
A better tip for #6 Dynamite destroys everything and anything. All you need is blast powder (which is found in chests, dropped by bandits and dropped by skeletons in Dry Valleys) and Knotroot Rods. Its easy to farm loads of both Flexwood and Frostpine. All without the risk of dying from a Brute. Keep in mind that your own dynamite can kill you so steer clear after throwing it. You can also do this for the copper barrels you find at abandoned structures
They just recently patched the chest glitch to heal your tools but it still works with the grappler so when your grappler has few uses left, you can do the glitch with it and it’ll bring it back to 10
- you can easily get heavy wool by letting your npc do a refining thread job - grapplers are worth it as of now, you can reset it back to 10 by simply leaving and rejoining the game when equipped.
I think you could really blow up if you ride this Lego fortnite popularity wave and do it right, here are some tips I think would help as a long time viewer: 1. Shorten your intros and commentary, new people that click on your videos want to know just the tips, get them with your personality later in the video 2. Upload shorter but more frequent and relevant videos. 3. Have a consistent thumbnail style specifically for Lego fortnite tips and trick Good luck, and wish you the best!
I don’t know if anyone said this yet but you don’t actually need cool headed charms for the desert, if you just use a hearty totem you can ignore the damage taken from the hot debuff since the totem will regenerate itself as long as you don’t lose your temporary hearts, and if you do lose them just eat something and wait a sec to let them regenerate back.
#2 if ur early game run into the snow biome during daytime. its warmer then so u wont freeze to death as quickly. also holding a torch in ur offhand will bypass the slow effect.
I would say it’s for sure worth making the grappler, just for sticky situations in caves and for traversing the land. You can do the durability glitch w/ the grappler in the chest so just throw it in there when You’re fixing your weapons and boom back to 10
CRAFT THE GRAPPLER! it only sucks because it has 10 uses, but if you do the chest durability glitch it works on the grappler aswell, the grappler is op in the snow biome especially as there’s so many steep cliff faces and the grappler makes it so easy to traverse, make sure to carry 6 wood planks on you though as you will need to regularly reset it
THE GRAPPLER IS ONE OF THE BEST ITEMS TO CRAFT!!!once it gets down to a low durability, simply stick it in a chest and take it back out and it’s back at full durability. This is in my opinion the most overpowered item in the game as of right now
I'm not 100% certain of this, but I believe that I was able to receive heavy wool by assigning a villager to the loom/textiles (I forget what they call it in the game).
Heavy wool thread can also be obtained by your villagers (assign them to threading) if your on lvl 10 town hall theres a high chance they will give you heavy wool threads or normals
hey man, just a few other tips - 1. create storage at your camp with each chest/cupboard allocated to 1 resource. 2. find a place to set your village between snow and desert biomes (i found one with both in a gliders ride away). 3. on your way back to your village, allocate a space for a resource other than the resource goal for your main trip. 4. build large stairs 20 high when you have the glider and need to go far. this will help you traverse to and from points (if no aeroplane) that are far away
I actually would suggest making a grappler. It got me out of a really sticky situation in the fire cave and just like your weapon and tools you can reset the durability with the chest exploit👍 7:51
The grappler now gives you 30 charges & as a bug will reset these charges when everyone in the server goes offline (at least at the time I’m posting this)
Caves are used for fast travel. You can get from different cave points on the map by exiting through different doorways. Figure out which exits take you where.
Another tip: DO NOT USE BED IN CAVES! I did, and I respawned at the zero coordinates. But the zero coordinates are not the same as the ones when you create your world. So I had to walk thousands of meters to my base.
Pro Tip #16: The durability regeneration exploit work with the Grappler for infinite charges. On,you downside you will probably have to regenerate the charges back a lot.
Punch/use sword on the seeds when u plant the berrys to instantly get berrys and vines . Then place them in the grain mill and repeat to keep duplication
MORE TIPS: 1. Instead of crafting chests to refresh your tools, just craft a “traditional counter” under “counters” as it only costs 8 wood. 2. The grappler’s uses can be refreshed just like your tools, except it’s even easier. You don’t even need to break whatever chest/counter you’ve built. Just throw it in a storage thing, take it out, and it’s refreshed.
Right before the update I had an issue where I kept respawning super far away from my village even though I had my bed and slept in it. I mean I would get spawned so far away when I would look at the map it would be just a circle like I started a new world but I had to zoom all the way out and scroll back to where my village was to see I wasn’t screwed. But I’m so glad they’ve fixed the respawn bug. Finally finished a back and forth thruster cart to get me from my woodlands village to my frostlands village and back.
Tip: If you stand on top your bed spam eat raspberries and the rest button at the same time until the rest button disappears you can get near god mode. For whatever reason you will automatically heal after you take damage and will not lose hunger. You can still die to brutes and fall damage so you are not entirely in god mode.
@@BuffCheeks80085 You won’t be able to recruit villagers or use beds to set your spawn point and some enemies might appear invisible but you can still kill them.
Biggest tip you didn't mention is the running bar at the bottom and how it affects the glider. Basically if you sprint and then glide the amount of time you can glid is less because using the glider acts as sprinting also once it runs out you will drop out the sky and moat likely die 🤟.
You can make multiple villages fyi just place a village at location you will have to level it up like your original location but you will be able to recruit new people in that area.
i also found out an exploit to reset grappler charges back to 10. It usually happens after i die with it in my inventory and after i pick up my backpack it has 10 shots remaining even when it has been used. I also believe it resets after i quit the game and join back and all the charges return. Edit: just tried the durability reset on my purple tools and all of my items got stuck into the ground and i cant pick them up.
I have another tip/exploit so basically I seen a vid where u go into an ice cave and loot the chest go back a decent bit and reopen the chest and it will refill with random stuff everytime it worked for me
3:52 there’s a glitch in the game where if you die in a cave you spawn really close to it or in it without a bed, just don’t click respawn and either close the world or the game entirely. Came in handy when trying to get cursed bone but wasn’t fun for a while. Also DO craft the grappler, not only did it get buffed, but if you refresh the world the grappler resets. And it is SUCH a handy tool to have. Another tip I found immediately is dodging roller bugs or whatever while they are rolling towards water which kills them instantly. Very useful for early game.
I know a good tip for exploding rollers when search blast core if you find steep in the caves make a wall at top or bottom making sure they can't past it and you can watch them in a safe distance. I was lucky enough to find wall next to a slope which was useful.
Fun tip: grappler uses resets whit the repair glitch, putting it in a chest and breaking it BY HAND if the chest brakes by an explosive it will make your items disappear
Under do not get the grappler; I’m aware that everyone has gone and let you know that it can be recharged, but I found out that you can recharge the grappler by simply placing in a chest, closing it, and re-adding it to your inventory recharges it too.
Good tip, I built my village next to a desert cave, also, not sure if torches despawn in caves after closing the lobby, but you can probably build a cheap "trail" in the cave from one entrance to another to help find your way out
@@ANGELxINxDESARKNSI threw a torch inside a cave where I entered, when I logged on the next day the torch was gone. I maybe might have picked it up, but I really doubt I did since I was using it as a marker.
Fun fact: You can reset the uses on the grappler if you put it into a chest and take it out. + aim at the highest point of a tree and it’ll work perfectly with the glider!
another tip is if you plan on making planes with balloons, ALWAYS KEEP YOUR SILK AND DONT THROW IT AWAY, you will need every single fiber of silk you get
If you plant a seed and hit it with an axe , you'll get a full grown crop and some vines instantly, and since you get 2 seeds from the grinder its like a multiplication glitch
Hey you can use the grappler more than 10 times if you put it in the chest like you did with the tools to reset their durability. It resets the grappler too!!!
@@Deadkkkj I think it's totally worth. lava enemies aren't that bad imo, and using the 3 cool charms means I can save my shakes for heals. it gets even better once you get blue cool charms.
@@BuffCheeks80085 shortly after you first visit a lava cave, the copper bars and obsidian you get will give you access to blue rarity charms, which are better than green cool charms. I think by "fragile glass" he means that he'd rather have the extra defense and health as opposed to the passive heat immunity. personally I wouldn't describe it as "glass" since the enemies down there only deal 1½ hearts. to be fair though, there are really big rooms in lava caves that have a lot of enemies that can quickly turn into a 1v8, so I kinda get how that can be hard to deal with when you run charms with lower defense. thank you for coming to my TED Talk.

In me and my friends world our base is literally a 15-20 minute walk from the nearest desert. Its horrible.

We just made stair towers to the sky once we had gliders. Build them along the route to cut down on travel time to different caves/biomes
If you put grappler in a chest it will recharge but If you let it get to zero you will loose it
For heavy wool have your villagers assigned to create textiles you will get it quite often

You can also place 3 foundations and break the lowest one so it becomes a rigid body. Then push that around to easily destroy lvl 1 stone and wood

I'm pretty sure beds only require 10 wood not 10 planks

Why is bright core so important late game?

Later on, to make an iron bar you need 2 shiny cores, so it's like the most important ore in the game.@@bonehead6395

@@ColvyMolvyit mainly works best for the rollers wait for them to get ready to roll and just stand on the side of the water and dodge there attack
The brutes also insta die if you get them to come in the water

Collect the near broken pickaxes from the skeletons at night, fill up chests, never have to craft basic picks again! 😅

I don’t know if anyone said this yet but you don’t actually need cool headed charms for the desert, if you just use a hearty totem you can ignore the damage taken from the hot debuff since the totem will regenerate itself as long as you don’t lose your temporary hearts, and if you do lose them just eat something and wait a sec to let them regenerate back.

#2 if ur early game run into the snow biome during daytime. its warmer then so u wont freeze to death as quickly.
also holding a torch in ur offhand will bypass the slow effect.

I would say it’s for sure worth making the grappler, just for sticky situations in caves and for traversing the land. You can do the durability glitch w/ the grappler in the chest so just throw it in there when You’re fixing your weapons and boom back to 10
CRAFT THE GRAPPLER! it only sucks because it has 10 uses, but if you do the chest durability glitch it works on the grappler aswell, the grappler is op in the snow biome especially as there’s so many steep cliff faces and the grappler makes it so easy to traverse, make sure to carry 6 wood planks on you though as you will need to regularly reset it
THE GRAPPLER IS ONE OF THE BEST ITEMS TO CRAFT!!!once it gets down to a low durability, simply stick it in a chest and take it back out and it’s back at full durability. This is in my opinion the most overpowered item in the game as of right now
I'm not 100% certain of this, but I believe that I was able to receive heavy wool by assigning a villager to the loom/textiles (I forget what they call it in the game).

Heavy wool thread can also be obtained by your villagers (assign them to threading) if your on lvl 10 town hall theres a high chance they will give you heavy wool threads or normals

Easy way to get heavy wool is to set villagers tasks to textiles. you get quite a bit it if you have a max village and set them all to the task.

hey man, just a few other tips - 1. create storage at your camp with each chest/cupboard allocated to 1 resource. 2. find a place to set your village between snow and desert biomes (i found one with both in a gliders ride away). 3. on your way back to your village, allocate a space for a resource other than the resource goal for your main trip. 4. build large stairs 20 high when you have the glider and need to go far. this will help you traverse to and from points (if no aeroplane) that are far away
I actually would suggest making a grappler. It got me out of a really sticky situation in the fire cave and just like your weapon and tools you can reset the durability with the chest exploit👍 7:51
The grappler now gives you 30 charges & as a bug will reset these charges when everyone in the server goes offline (at least at the time I’m posting this)
Caves are used for fast travel. You can get from different cave points on the map by exiting through different doorways. Figure out which exits take you where.
I'm assuming not all caves...since the caves I've gone through only have one entrance.

Another tip:
DO NOT USE BED IN CAVES! I did, and I respawned at the zero coordinates. But the zero coordinates are not the same as the ones when you create your world. So I had to walk thousands of meters to my base.
Pro Tip #16: The durability regeneration exploit work with the Grappler for infinite charges. On,you downside you will probably have to regenerate the charges back a lot.

Punch/use sword on the seeds when u plant the berrys to instantly get berrys and vines . Then place them in the grain mill and repeat to keep duplication
MORE TIPS: 1. Instead of crafting chests to refresh your tools, just craft a “traditional counter” under “counters” as it only costs 8 wood.
2. The grappler’s uses can be refreshed just like your tools, except it’s even easier. You don’t even need to break whatever chest/counter you’ve built. Just throw it in a storage thing, take it out, and it’s refreshed.

Right before the update I had an issue where I kept respawning super far away from my village even though I had my bed and slept in it. I mean I would get spawned so far away when I would look at the map it would be just a circle like I started a new world but I had to zoom all the way out and scroll back to where my village was to see I wasn’t screwed. But I’m so glad they’ve fixed the respawn bug. Finally finished a back and forth thruster cart to get me from my woodlands village to my frostlands village and back.
tip number 16: craft a shield they can block almost every single attack and can stun the crabs if they roll at you.
If you can dodge you don’t need to ever make a shield

Tip: If you stand on top your bed spam eat raspberries and the rest button at the same time until the rest button disappears you can get near god mode. For whatever reason you will automatically heal after you take damage and will not lose hunger. You can still die to brutes and fall damage so you are not entirely in god mode.

Biggest tip you didn't mention is the running bar at the bottom and how it affects the glider. Basically if you sprint and then glide the amount of time you can glid is less because using the glider acts as sprinting also once it runs out you will drop out the sky and moat likely die 🤟.

You can make multiple villages fyi just place a village at location you will have to level it up like your original location but you will be able to recruit new people in that area.

The grappler is actually the best when exploring high area fair with the glider. To reset the durability just do the destroying the chest exploit.
i also found out an exploit to reset grappler charges back to 10. It usually happens after i die with it in my inventory and after i pick up my backpack it has 10 shots remaining even when it has been used. I also believe it resets after i quit the game and join back and all the charges return. Edit: just tried the durability reset on my purple tools and all of my items got stuck into the ground and i cant pick them up.
I have another tip/exploit so basically I seen a vid where u go into an ice cave and loot the chest go back a decent bit and reopen the chest and it will refill with random stuff everytime it worked for me
3:52 there’s a glitch in the game where if you die in a cave you spawn really close to it or in it without a bed, just don’t click respawn and either close the world or the game entirely. Came in handy when trying to get cursed bone but wasn’t fun for a while.
Also DO craft the grappler, not only did it get buffed, but if you refresh the world the grappler resets. And it is SUCH a handy tool to have.
Another tip I found immediately is dodging roller bugs or whatever while they are rolling towards water which kills them instantly. Very useful for early game.
I know a good tip for exploding rollers when search blast core if you find steep in the caves make a wall at top or bottom making sure they can't past it and you can watch them in a safe distance. I was lucky enough to find wall next to a slope which was useful.
They patched the chest tool repair glitch but still haven’t given us a way to repair tools 😂

Grappler resets once placed in a chest, spawn, and login/out. Chest doesn’t even need to be broken.
The chest exploit works with the grappler and resets the charges. Grappler is OP in snow biome.

Fun tip: grappler uses resets whit the repair glitch, putting it in a chest and breaking it BY HAND if the chest brakes by an explosive it will make your items disappear
Under do not get the grappler; I’m aware that everyone has gone and let you know that it can be recharged, but I found out that you can recharge the grappler by simply placing in a chest, closing it, and re-adding it to your inventory recharges it too.
Extra tip: we can use caves as teleport,since every cave have 2 exits and are connected to another cave,i use caves to fast travel to desert.
Good tip, I built my village next to a desert cave, also, not sure if torches despawn in caves after closing the lobby, but you can probably build a cheap "trail" in the cave from one entrance to another to help find your way out
@@ANGELxINxDESARKNSI threw a torch inside a cave where I entered, when I logged on the next day the torch was gone. I maybe might have picked it up, but I really doubt I did since I was using it as a marker.
Fun fact: You can reset the uses on the grappler if you put it into a chest and take it out. + aim at the highest point of a tree and it’ll work perfectly with the glider!

Grapplers are so good the chest reset thing works with them atm so yes it as much as you can now
another tip is if you plan on making planes with balloons, ALWAYS KEEP YOUR SILK AND DONT THROW IT AWAY, you will need every single fiber of silk you get

If you plant a seed and hit it with an axe , you'll get a full grown crop and some vines instantly, and since you get 2 seeds from the grinder its like a multiplication glitch
easy way to get sand shells. when they start rolling towards u hold up the shield, they will hit the shield and daze them making it easy to kill

You do not need the snowberry shake in the desert caves if you stack 3 cool headed charms. Basically can spend as long as you want in the hot caves.
This way you turn into fragile glass, it's not worth it, lol
@@Deadkkkj I think it's totally worth. lava enemies aren't that bad imo, and using the 3 cool charms means I can save my shakes for heals. it gets even better once you get blue cool charms.

@@BuffCheeks80085 shortly after you first visit a lava cave, the copper bars and obsidian you get will give you access to blue rarity charms, which are better than green cool charms. I think by "fragile glass" he means that he'd rather have the extra defense and health as opposed to the passive heat immunity. personally I wouldn't describe it as "glass" since the enemies down there only deal 1½ hearts. to be fair though, there are really big rooms in lava caves that have a lot of enemies that can quickly turn into a 1v8, so I kinda get how that can be hard to deal with when you run charms with lower defense.
