My 5t pops out the telltale as soon as I start it, but on a run up to London by the time I’m forty miles into the journey it’s barely lifting at lo revs. ( the oils hot and the engine is hot)Got to ace classics and mentioned it to Cliff and he said ‘ we used to call oil gauges worry gauges “. It hasn’t seized yet and I’ve done 3000 odd miles on it and done an oil change, sump check, and tank swill. So I don’t fret about it.
Excellent analysis. Nevertheless long-term usage of the existing oil pressure release valve will result in running the motorcycle on low oil pressure. This of course means potential damage to any and all internal motor parts
Hi Paul so these relief valves telltale are supposed to stay out then only my old man's 55 t110 his comes out when first started then goes back in apparently an old triumph mechanic he used to know said that's how they're supposed to work but I've always had my doubts about that I think he is wrong good video 👍
I hope you encouraged the owner to avoid wide throttle openings at low revs in any gear as is typical of many HD riders. Keep it spinning!!

First class explanation.
