I did the Predator 212 engine swamped on an old Toro 521. Toro 521 has a 21-inch clearing path. It's a shame they don't make two stage snow blowers that small anymore. I find it's good for my front walkway.
Thank you for sharing the information about the pulleys. I have not tried it yet, but I will soon on my second 24 inch snowblower. I installed that same 212cc engine on my craftsman 28 inch snowblower but could not find the correct pulleys at that time, so I made a sleeve out of copper tubing to install over the 3/4 inch shaft so I can use the old 1 inch shaft pulley. Using your idea with new pulleys will be much easier. Thanks again for sharing.
I’m doing this to my snowblower currently. Sad thing is mine is 2 years old. I had the 208 throw a rod on me (how, I have no idea.) I was mainly looking for the answer to the pulley situation which this video answered!

Swapping this exact same snow blower I ordered the same pulleys you have listed I tried pulleys from the store but they don’t go out far enough over pulley on snow blower.
There are two versions of the Predator 212 cc. One is hemi and one is not. You have the hemi because the valve cover is cast aluminum, the non hemi is stamped steel
Did you have to modify your transmission to flip it the other way? I saw another video where a guy had to flip a bracket for the gear selector and weld it back in place
Looks like you did a nice clean retrofit. I just re-powered my pressure with the same engine. So much smoother and more power than the Honda GC engine that I removed. Since I live in GA, do those small cables on the snowblower present a problem in the snow and ice?

Looking to possibly do a snapper with a blown hole in the side of the engine swap with a predator 8hp. It seems like 4 bolts and slide the pulleys off. Any words of advice ?
The Preadator engine you got on your machine its a Loncin basically a Hemi engine the other predator 212cc engines are the non hemi Honda clones made by Chonquing Ratio power Mfg. I have the non hemi on my Cub Cadet snow thrower to replace a 208cc motor that dropped a valve. its a copy of a Honda GX 200 at quarter of the price. i got one on my Cyclone rake classic runs great. can't beat these motors more reliable Honda equivalant engine.
That looks to be the exact same one that I have. What specs do I need to look at on the old engine and the new one to make sure that I get the correct replacement?

It’s not that it’s a safety concern on the belt cover it helps keep the belt from getting wet and slipping

I did similar, I repowered troybilt storm 2410 208cc with a Predator 212cc. If you need auger and drive pulley sizes, just let me know.
