I sowed 2 okra, 2 cucumber, and 2 cherry tomatoes four days ago and they have already sprouted. Now it is just a race against Jack Frost 🥶. First time plating a fall garden.
A few months ago, I took your advice on planting in storage tubs. I live in Memphis TN and have a tiny yard. But, I grow baby kale, amaranth greens, onions and herbs. And every day or so I have a yummy salad of baby greens. My husband and I have decided to sell our house, pay off all of our debt, and if God is willing, we plan on moving to the country so we can - at least garden. We have a buyer. Now to follow God's lead and find out where He plans on us to live. Thank you for showing us that it can be done. Thank you for your love of Christ and genuine Godly advice. Hi. I live with PTSD, bipolar depression with panic attacks and fibromyalgia and at times not very well. For the last 9 years I have struggled with wanting to give up completely. I would even pray not to wake up. But each time I was desperate and going to give up completely I would get the news that a grand baby was coming and my kids needed the help and support that only Mommy can give. I now have 10 healthy grand kids who call me Nana and my husband Papa. 9 of these were born in the last 6 years.. My Heavenly Father would not let me give up. I have been watching your channel since last May. You helped me have the courage to plant a container garden. Even though there are days that I can’t get out of bed and because of neglect some plants have died but many survived in spite of me. I even enjoyed a few squash, cucumbers, green beans, chard, and a few tomatoes. I find a bit of peace in my humble garden and am in awe at God’s creation. Thank you for the gift you bestow on us by opening your life and heart to people. I look forward everyday to your videos.. you truly are a blessing

IT'S NOT ENOUGH, JESS...PLANT MORE!! Watching all your videos it has rubbed off on me :-D I just have a small space to do some grow bag gardening and I plant more than I need and still want to start more seeds. It is my favorite part of my new gardening addiction...watching those seeds sprout is fantastic and glorious! I remember watching one of your videos where you warned against planting more than you can handle so you don't get overwhelmed. Well, I ignored that advice and am still loving it. Thank you so much for bringing some much needed peace and joy to my life.

From what I've learned thus far, you'll know how much to plant and when if you keep a gardening journal or spreadsheet that tracks everything you've done. Then you can adjust and compare yields and use year over year.
My 6 year old son, Darrin, wants me to tell you that he loves all the things you teach us! He wants you to know that we like to garden too. 😊👍
