    You shipped me my Homo Sapiens Bronze a couple of months ago, and it is my one and only "expensive" grail pen. It IS wonderful, but made even better with the "right" ink. The initial couple of inks didn't flow too well from the M nib, but now with Sailor Rikyucha, it flows beautifully. Smooth, wonderful feel to the ash composite body. No more grail pens needed. But I love my Gravi's as well! Your customer service was excellent, Emy, so thanks for what you are doing!

      Hello Daniel - yes we did shipped that and we are happy to hear from you enjoying it as it was designed to be :D We appreciate your feedback - much love from the Pen Venture Crew

    What a refreshing video Emy! We tend to complain a lot about price but never think about what it takes to make these pens. I'm so glad you two made this video: the maker and the retailer on pens is just good conversation 😊
    Besides I never thought why we never had 'eastern' homo sapiens and divinas around. Now that's just amazing! Kudos to Visconti for coming up with these designs and executing them beautifully 💫

      :D thank you Mualla - nice things often cost a lot, even if we like this or not, for most of them is justified and when looking at this aspect we must know what actually makes it to cost that much. There are not that many pens that still get the same level of attention like Bronze Age for 10+ years and I think this will be one of those pens that will be like the "149" of Visconti

    I can't believe you interact with the famous Ben Walsh himself. It is brilliant. I can only dream about the day I can afford pens like these. Truly marvelous. Never tried them though, function above form, but soul is above function. In rare cases, like the Visconti fountain pens, the form, the material, and the style is on par with function.

      We plan more stuff for the future :D having a perspective from both ends - the collector and retailer of writing instruments and the maker of them - it brings a lot of value to such content

      More to come! :D at this moment we are working on the new website and it's API's in all the apps - shipping / invoicing / customs and in the background our team already started the listing of items from the gravitas website, we think in the next 4 to 6 max weeks we will be ready to open :D

    I really enjoyed this video! Please can you and Ben do more of these videos where you both analyse different high end pens and discuss why their high price tags are justified or not.
    Also, i have so much respect for Italian pen makers. And hopefully Italy will continue to give the world great pens for centuries to come.

      Thank you so much from both of us :D - having this perspective together on a product that one is responsible to make it and the other one is a retailer/collector of it - I think its valuable and brings a lot of things that is worth showcasing :D

    Happy to see Ben alive and in this video! :D I could only justify 500€ on Gravitas pens at the very beginning of May, but my order still says “pending” 😅 Anyway, really looking forward to receive those great pens, have a good time both of you until then!

      He is alive - tho the video is recorded sometime end of March, all orders from the timeline mentioned are shipped and looking pending its because there has to be a manual edit button that must be edited to the current status of the order and its whereabouts (the current shipping location ) - but Ben will take care of all of these orders as soon as we take over the fulfilment and he will have only to focus on anything prior to that moment

    Lovely video, Ben thanks for your insights on the technicalities of producing such a pen. I have both the Bronze Age and a Demo Stones and they are among my favourite pens.
    I have a question about something you said in the video: you mentioned the Demo Stones has a double reservoir and the Bronze age doesn't, did I hear that right? Can you tell me a bit more about it? I know they both are vacuum fill but did not know there's a difference. Thank you!

    • @pen.venture
      @pen.venture  Месяц назад +1

      Glad it was helpful my dear ! Double reservoir means that the user can seal the ink behind the piston when the pen is nib up and the end knows unscrewed so like this the ink can be drained behind the piston and sealed when the end knob screws back while the pen is nib up - in order to fly and not have the pen burp ink in the cap. The Bronze Age Homo sapiens has the same system vacuum (power filler) but not the feature with the double reservoir hence the barrel is solid one cant see inside to drain the ink and they just used a inner sleeve to not have ink touch the lava walls and the double reservoir is not available on the bronze age while the filling system is the same power filler like of the demo stones

      @@bartosz_domy issue is not with Pen Venture. If something is in stock it should be sent and customers not treated so poorly, I was assured the last time this happened by Ben it was a one off so ordered again, for the same thing to happen to happen again. Not sure why I should not challenge poor service.

    But it's a 600 Euro (+tax) pen, not 850 Euro...

    • @pen.venture
      @pen.venture  Месяц назад +8

      Nope - it’s a pen that is 698 eur no tax pricing (updated to Visconti pricing guide) upon which applying a vat rate of 16 to 25% depending on where it goes in Europe it stars at 830 and it can go up to 860 eur … then when it’s imported on the location where it goes outside EU it gets to be around 850 eur and in the case of countries like Brazil (a tax of 100% is applied so that pen will be 1378 eur) … to answer your question it’s not a 600 eur pen, it’s an 850 eur pen or even more. Over 10k orders sent world wide comes with some experience when exporting goods world wide
