IKR. Its actually been growing and most companies are now skater owned. Blading companies were experiencing shortages because the demand for new blades in 2020. People remember how fun it is. Great exercise too.
Very sad that the guy that played in "The Famous Jet Jackson" and also Johnny Tsunami passed way early. He was the one who taught Johnny the ropes. I also learned a little of Eric Von ...married has kids just an ordinary life and far from the cameras. It seems like Hollywood does a number on people. These movies were part of my adolesence and I will always have a spot for them. Cheers!
Erik von detten and sam Harrigan did a few movies together. I wish would another one together. Disney Channel used make good movies but around 2004 they started making movies just for little kids.
Brink is ICONIC!!! Erik Von Detten is a true Disney legend. The voice of "Sid" from Toy Story, Brink of course, and "Josh Bryant" from The Princess Diaries!!!
Having grown up in Santa Monica I did hang out at the pier after school, like at the arcade and went on dates on the roller coaster and bumper cars. Maybe it's only adult tourists but teens do go to the Third Street Promenade and the pier after school.
My favorites are Jumping Ship, Horse Sense, Johnny Tsunami, Brink, The Other Me, You Wish, Zenon, Mom's got a date with a Vampire, Phantom of the Megaplex to name a few
Think of all the innocent things about the 90s/00s that kids today are missing out on. Also my husband and I quote the "skate better quote" from this movie and make it our own hahaha. And I haven't forgotten the song "I'm gonna get under your skin. Sooner or later!"
As an old soul person for 1998, I may not be a huge roller blade myself but Brink was gold I used to watch that movie on Disney Channel back in 2003 I think.
3:33 Actually, if you go down the pier, turn left where the Carrousel is, there are steps that take you down to the bike path that are next to the Aquarium. Or, you go down the Pier, turn left into the parking lot, and there are another set longer stairs that also lead you down to the bike path. Bike path then takes you to Venice Boardwalk
I was into aggressive inline back in the 90s and was really excited when brink came out . Me and my friends would meet up and watch it while eating breakfast and then skate to school imitating the intro scene 😆soooo much fun 🤙
The movie was really good, the moral of the story too, as Gabriella said to Brink _"We all need the money Brink. What does that have to do with it ? That's how it starts you know ? First, you do something that you really love. And then you start doing it for the money. And before you know it, you're just another sell-out."_ I really liked the characters of Brink, the leader of the team with a big heart who can even stop everything to help his opponents no matter what they do; Gabriella, the tomboyish girl who is not afraid of anything and who imposes her presence in front of the guys and the character of Val who is a very talented skater but a real bad guy who only thinks about winning and makes the most twisted plans to achieve his ends. There are also the characters of Jordy and Peter who bring a lot to the film. I also liked the character of Boomer who did not hesitate with Brink to rebel against Val and to tell him his four truths. There is also Val's team that I really liked, they were not really bad at heart like Val. At some points in the movie you could see that they were not happy with the decisions of their Captain who only thought about winning and not about the real talent of the people (for example the moment when he was doing detections to know who should replace Boomer, you could see B.J. who did not like the fact that Val was criticizing some of the participants in the detections saying that he did not want them in the team). By the way, I wonder if they were the ones doing the stunts and skating (Looking at the movie credit, I think Gabriella had a stuntwoman).
Maybe when brink cut through the alley it was to get back to being even and that's why he landed right next to Val like basically the movie stating ok they are tied lets see who wins now. It's not like Brink cut through the alley and was way ahead of Val
If the question is “why is this movie so great?” The answer is “Sam Horrigan” Ill give him top 50 movie villain all-time for this. He’s literally phenomenal. The look helps…but it’s a lot of his acting. Frickin great performance.
As a skateboarder I have love for both sports. Brink n ninja turtles are my number one favorite movie. Brink is what got me into aggressive skating. Even though I never pursued it. I did have aggressive skates I bought from a friend in highschool. For 50 dollars. And I skated them. Never had the courage to grind rails. I do remember before highschool in middle school I saw kids grinding the benches in the locker rooms. They had soap shoes. So I had my mom buy me a pair. And I started jumping up and grinded the benches too. Rocket power was another reason I had love for skateboarding and aggressive skates. Plus x games. I remember watching Tony hawk do the 900. 90s to early to 00s were the best years. But I just picked up a vintage pair of aggressive skates and I bought a senate backpack. I bought the team pup n suds shirts on ebay. Gonna buy some more. But I think skateboarding is going to be less and aggressive skating im going to pursue at the age of 36. And if anyone misses the soap shoes. This brand called epic. Stepped up and made their own version of soap shoes. Just type in epic grind shoes. God bless everyone who happens to read this. Jesus is love.
This movie was so RAD! I was 9 when it came out. I BEGGED my mom for some $20 in-line blades. (They were total cheapskates if you will) First time at the skate park, oh how quick I was thrashed by the cooler/older board kids lol Told me how “GAY” I was for wearing “FRUIT BOOTS” (Immediately returned to mom to beg for my first trick deck while trying to contain my tears) haha
I don’t remember two girls in the movie just gabriela so who’s the other chick they are video chatting with. She appears in the bottom right screen when they first show them video chatting Gabriela is in the middle.
My favorites were Brink and Motocrossed. Idk what it is about x games movies on Disney but those 2 were my favorites. I actually saw Motocrossed first but Brink was so good too. Side note, screw you Disney for removing the Fastball song "You're an Ocean" from the opening scene of Motocrossed on the Disney app. They replaced it with the most generic guitar machinery sound ever. That single handedly ruined that version for me.
This video is almost good and then she said don’t skate over a pile of rocks. when you’re flying down the hill it is harder to see things on the ground
as good as it was, it was a disneyfied rip off of Airborne, So the one Disney Channel Movie that didnt suck was taken from 1993 Film Airborne and adjusted for the target audience.
In all fairness everyone saw Val cheat Brink that's why everyone let the alley thing go because he only did it to catch up now to get ahead and cheat val. Like he did him ... remember Soul Skater!
Even after 22 years, Brink! is still fresh. One of the best DCOM.
Fo sho
ABSOLUTELY. Blading is making a COVID comeback too
@@lonelyberg1316 I don't get what is funny it is slang for Show? Hard to follow huh? 😂😭🙄
Their 3rd movie, and it was really good. I think it was the first taste of how great DCOMS could be

Rollerblading never went away!! Give us the respect we deserve!!
IKR. Its actually been growing and most companies are now skater owned. Blading companies were experiencing shortages because the demand for new blades in 2020. People remember how fun it is. Great exercise too.
This was a good childhood film in the summer of 98. Got me into rollerblading when it was hot back then.
I like Johnny Tsunami too. They are both classics! Soul Skaters!
Luck of the Irish also
Private school kids ski. Public school kids board. Been that way since the mountain was created.

Good ol' disney movies! Brink was one of my faves❣ soul skating haha
Aggressive inline skate

OMG I think it was honestly like my favorite but I know there’s a few I quite can’t remember.
👍🤘💚🖤!
Brink made me one of the best vert skaters on the east coast!!! I challenge any sell-out!!!
Still skate to this day because of this movie. I’m just much better then they were 😝
🤘😎
My brothers, my sister and I love this movie since we were kids. Let's show them what soul skating is all about.😎👊🔥
Brink is ICONIC!!! Erik Von Detten is a true Disney legend. The voice of "Sid" from Toy Story, Brink of course, and "Josh Bryant" from The Princess Diaries!!!
And don't forget he was on So Weird, Disney's supernatural show.
This movie was top three Disney originals movies of all time. This was my childhood
Dude, Xenon.... I loved brink, wanted to be them, was so awesome to see the dude in skates again. Ruled.
This is a cool movie . I used to watch it on Disney as a kid
I love that movie without a shadow of a doubt
Having grown up in Santa Monica I did hang out at the pier after school, like at the arcade and went on dates on the roller coaster and bumper cars. Maybe it's only adult tourists but teens do go to the Third Street Promenade and the pier after school.
Disney Brink is a classic! Still love watching it! :)
Brink is my favorite Disney Channel movie. I had a crush on Erik Von Detten and Sam Horrigan.
Crazy how the actor who played Val (Sam horrigan) did his own stunts in this film! Can’t believe they didn’t mention that! Pretty impressive!
This ones on me. I watched one clip of Brink and now all these videos are recommended to me.
My favorites are Jumping Ship, Horse Sense, Johnny Tsunami, Brink, The Other Me, You Wish, Zenon, Mom's got a date with a Vampire, Phantom of the Megaplex to name a few
Motocrossed
Brooo i cpuldnt remember all these names! Now im gonna look them up!
Don't Look under The Bed, My Lucky Dog and Susie Q

I started aggressive inline just because of brink when I was a kid
Loved this move, ALSO LOVED AIRBORNE! Both movies give me crazy nostalgia
@X-Bladz X-Bladz ! The brand in person ! 😆
The Famous Jet Jackson And Brink Zenon Twitches the cheetah Girls (its so many others for me)
Famous Jet Jackson a forgotten classic, I loved that show.
Lol the guy that played Val did such a good job making everyone hate him
I was a soul skater when this movie came out !! I loved it !! Just watched it again !
As an old soul person for 1998, I may not be a huge roller blade myself but Brink was gold I used to watch that movie on Disney Channel back in 2003 I think.
CLASSIC...Literally grew up on this.
Why is this movie still not available on DVD or Blu-ray!? I've been waiting years!!! No fair!
One of my favorites as a kid
THIS IS MY MOVIE YO!! Love this.
I got new blades and cant wait to hit up the skatepark.
Again my childhood such a good movie 🥰
Favorite Disney tv movie ever and I'm from 92
BRINK is the GOAT DISNEY MOVIE (DCOM)
Brink was like airborne I don't know which one was better but brink deff was a 💎
Airborne was def a banger! Chris Edwards and team Rollerblade. I'd say both were a win
3:33 Actually, if you go down the pier, turn left where the Carrousel is, there are steps that take you down to the bike path that are next to the Aquarium.
Or, you go down the Pier, turn left into the parking lot, and there are another set longer stairs that also lead you down to the bike path.

Best made for tv Disney movie ever

The Ultimate BEST DCOM movie
What was the name of the song they kept playing through the moving? The "I did not lead" song.
Johnny Tsunami is hard to beat.
The bad kid makes the movie.
They need put this on DVD
I Agree Or Netflix
I so agree with you!!
Someone at work said today I looked like Brinker after I shaved, so I have fallen upon this video. 😂😂😂
So handsome and an incredible soundtrack

Brink looks like his farts would not stink 😁👽🧐
