literally all the movies you talked about, susie q, my date with the presidents daughter, ESCAPE TO WITCH MOUNTAIN... i didn't think anyone but me remembered that movie! man, can we be best friends
Also, I think Jordy adds a much needed dynamic in the group. He's like a weird conspiracy kid before conspiracies were a big thing. Him and Gabriel play really well off each other since they have such different personalities. The difference in the characters really does make it feel like a ragtag group that are united by the general goodness of character they possess. I could be wrong but I think Jordy scores very well in competition too so he isn't bringing the team down at all.
I agree, he’s got a couple funny lines and good chemistry with the cast but I also think you could take him out of the movie and it still flow just as well. But I totally get where your coming from…
The actor who played Val was a professional rollerblader when he was 15 (which is probably how he got the role) and they do show his face when doing tricks
I recently rewatched this with my sister! It was one of my favorite movies growing up and we used to quote the "Nunya business" line CONSTANTLY. It's amazing how the premise just... falls completely flat now. I was completely rooting for Brink to join X-Blades like, "Yeah, go get that sponsorship money! Do what you love AND get paid for it!" I don't think anyone can take the idea of being anti-sellout seriously in an era when we're all just barely scraping by. Also, the way they acted like Gabriella was on her DEATH BED from a bad case of road rash. The one thing that really held up well for me (aside from the nostalgia factor and love for EVD and Patrick Levis) is the soundtrack. "Give" by the Suicide Machines and "Sooner or Later" by Fastball are still bangers. It's really cool to hear your perspective as a figure skater and examine how well the movie hid the stunt doubles. Hope you review more DCOMs!
My friend and I went to trivia a few months ago and named our team Ralph Brinker: Construction Foreman. Another team there named themselves Team Pup N Suds. I don't think they heard us talking so it was just very coincidental .

Absolutely! Someone suggested I cover ‘In A Heartbeat’ and I felt so seen when someone else besides me REMEMBERED IT!!!
Omfg I was thinking of this movie the other day and I couldn't remember the name. Thanks so much for this upload.

That’s so random and sick, pretty cool to actually cast someone in the sport
Completely agree with all your add to D+ recommendations.
