    PPE STAGE 3 TIE ROD ASSEMBLIES
    HEAVY DUTY REPLACEMENT TIE RODS FOR YOUR CHEVY SILVERADO OR GMC SIERRA
    FACTORY TIE ROD ASSEMBLIES BEND AND BREAK. THEY ARE SIMPLY TOO SMALL AND WEAK TO GET THE JOB DONE, ESPECIALLY IN HIGH-STRESS SITUATIONS. WHILE THEY ARE GENERALLY STRONG ENOUGH FOR STOCK PERFORMANCE, STREET DRIVEN PICK-UPS, WITH THE ADDED STRESS THAT COME FROM LARGER TIRES, RACING, AND OFF-ROAD USE, WON’T HOLD UP FOR LONG.
    THE FIX FOR THESE WEAK TIE ROD ASSEMBLIES COMES IN THREE STAGES. THESE ARE BOLT-ON PARTS AND REQUIRE NO EXTRA MODIFICATIONS TO FACTORY COMPONENTS. WHEEL ALIGNMENT IS RECOMMENDED AFTER INSTALLATION.
    THE BEST WE’VE GOT; THESE TIE RODS ARE OVERKILL FOR MOST, FOR SURE, BUT WHEN IT COMES TO STEERING COMPONENTS, FAILURE IS NOT SOMETHING THAT CAN BE STOOD FOR.
    FEATURING 1.5 INCH WIDE FORGED TIE ROD, MASSIVE 2 1/3 INCH BALL JOINTS AND A MUCH LARGER AND STRONGER INNER BALL JOINT THESE TIE ROD ASSEMBLIES ARE THE BEST OF THE BEST.
    WHEN COMPARED TO FACTORY COMPONENTS:
    30% LARGER TOE ADJUSTING SHAFT
    53% LARGER TIE ROD BODY
    35% LARGER OUTER BALL JOINT
    28% LARGER INNER BALL JOINT

But I do have a question for you, so I just installed ppe tie rods on my lml duramax and brought it to do an alignment and les Schwab told me that in 10k miles theys tie rods will break right at the ball joints due to bc its to beefy and it doesn’t have no flex when I go over pot holes and just daily driving compared to the stocks, anyway what I wanted to say it’s been 5 years since this video came out and wanted to ask you how did your ppe tie rods hold up?

  • @Lanni_747
    @Lanni_747 7 лет назад

    Did you ever try to flip your sway bar so it will clear the tierods better. I noticed on my truck my tierod was hitting my sway bar but I'm not lifted as high as you. I just have green keys cranked up. I had to make some longer sway bar links so the tie rods would clear. 👍🏼

    • @TruckMaster

      +Lanni_LBZ no I didn't try that but I want to try and reposition my sway bar that might work

    • @Lanni_747
      @Lanni_747 7 лет назад

      I'd try that first. If it can work flipped do it. If not just get longer bolts and a longer sleeve for the sway bar links like I did. My inner tierod boot would hit the sway bar and I didn't want to blow another boot like the stockers did unnoticed. Good luck

    • @TruckMaster
      @TruckMaster  6 лет назад

      +Adam Eudaly yes mine are doing the same but I think it's because I put to much grease in mine. I plan on putting some clear sealant on the leaking spots I hope that will stop it from seeping out

    • @adam4267.
      @adam4267. 6 лет назад

      Talked to ppe today they said it is from having a lifted front end and changing the original angle of the tie rod. Then when the control arm is fully extended with a arm travel I guess they will pinch. They recommended limiting straps to prevent the lower control arm from over extending. Also you can buy new outer and inner boots from there website for $25.

      The lift drops the front diff 2-3" to keep geometry. My 2500hd has a leveling kit and my sway bar has the same issues. Has nothing to do with the lift.

    • @BoxofRoxRacing
      @BoxofRoxRacing 5 лет назад +1

      brandon katrenak Just trying to help, but it does have something to do with the lift. You need to drop the sway bar mounts as much as you drop the diff. A piece of formed C channel or rectangular tubing is usually put between the sway bar mount and the frame so there's no interference issues.
