Random Free Fly training session in March

  • Took my Pionus Parrots out free flying in Marh as the weather was starting to pick up. It was a perfect day for free flying! Lyra is still very new to Free Flying, we took her out for some distance practice to build her stamina, and Quaffle did quite a few flock recalls with her. the girls love their A to B recalls and enjoy having time to train outside in the trees.

    I had a cockatiel when I was younger. I am interested in getting another one and teaching it to free-fly... the one I had as a kid was clipped

      Good luck! Soaring wings flock have several amazing free flying teils and provide mentorship too. They're Amazing to watch fly

    Sorta not fair ....cant be free flying Pionus in Vt usa...waaay too many raptors...i am looking forward to ur vids tho...i am a new BH Pionus owner and a few q's do arise...👍

      I'm very lucky here in the UK, no where near as many raptors as the US. And even less in woodland. Pionus aren't an easy species to fly though. You need a very strong bond with them.
