Such an enjoyable video! It's nice to see the progress of your relationship and how his confidence is growing 💚
7:20 Got a floofy on his beak… ☺️💚🦜💚🤗
Souu cute :)) im getting one next month. Is it ok to only have one?
I've found Pionus to be quite independent birds, so long as you can give them 2-3 hours minimum attention each day they're usually fine on their own. Although I do plan on getting a second next year.
No. It is NOT okay. Never only one Bird/Parrot! To spent 2-3 or more hours per day with the Birds/Parrots does not replace a conspecific.
Are from UK? where did you get him from?
Yes, I rehomed Quaffle from a friend. She was originally bought from Just for pets Coventry.
hello!! very cute pionus💕 im thinking about getting a Maximilian pionus this year! could you possibly do a video on their care?
I do plan on doing a video on their care at some point this year, but want to make sure the information I give is accurate so gaining experience with Quaffle first and learning as much as I can about the species first.
@@PionusTales alright, thank you so much!
where u get the backpack?
Northern parrots. But their are several other options available online from different providers for different species. I believe the pak-o-bird is one of the most popular because you can get it custom sized for different length birds
Aquí cuánto tiempo tenía porque le veo la cabeza muy blanca, el mío hará dos años en julio y todavía tiene verde el medio del blanco
At this point she was around 2 years old.
Hi where did u find him? How much was he
He was advertised on a pionus Facebook page as needing a new home. His previous owner rescued him from a bird horder but he didn't get on with her bird, so shared him to a pionus group page because she wanted him to go to a home with pionus knowledge. To be honest how much he cost doesn't matter, all birds are expensive to buy, as all living animals should be to try and make sure they go to the best possible homes
Thanks for the video! Got a question for you. We are experienced bird owners, have a green cheek Conure, cockatiel and had a budgie in the past. The Conure is caged separately.
Our cockatiel and budgie shared a cage since they were very young. They got along great. The budgie passed away with a tumor unfortunately and since this time last year, our cockatiel hasn’t been the same since. He is angry and aggressive around me, yet sings to my wife a lot. It could be he reached 5 years old and his hormones are kicking in, or it could be a result of the budgie passing away, we are not sure and troubled by this. My question is do you think a mild tempered white cap pionous would make a good companion for our cockatiel and share a cage? We are looking at a rescue pionous who is a mild tempered 20 year old female. Do you think they could make good companions? Or do you suggest a smaller bird? How big are these white cap pinous compared to a cockatiel? Good idea or bad idea? We need to figure something out because I think he is lonely and could use a companion. Any thoughts on this idea? Thanks again.
White caps are classed as medium size birds, but are one of the smallest medium sized birds you can get. They're actually a bit smaller than a Caique which is a bit bigger than a GCC. When it comes to companionship its a bird by bird basis. For example a friend of mine has 3 cockateils and 2 macaws, and one of the cockateils bonded to one of the macaws. I've also seen cockatoos be companions of GCC's. I've also witnessed quaffle be a bully to other birds, especially magpies 😆. I've known some birds to prefer their own species, some that hate their own species. Its just like humans. There's people we like, people we don't like. We're all unique and our preferences in people are unique too. Birds are the same. Its impossible to say which bird would make a good companion for your particular bird.
OK how come you're going from an American accent to English accent?
?? I did??
@@PionusTalesno you didn't
