    They look really good. So no matter how hot it gets the paint don’t rub off on you no matter how hot it gets. I live in North GA

    Blue is my fdavorite color. I have two brown Adirondack chairs (same as your) and I was going to paint them in gray but after seeing the midnight blue, I decided that I will be painting them in the same color. Thank you so much for sharing! ☺️❤️👏🏾👏🏾

    This was super simple and super helpful thank you so much. I found a tiny white Adirondack chair that someone was throwing away and outside the fact that it's just really filthy and stained it just needs to be cleaned off and given a Fresh coat of paint.

    Thanks! I have a chair that used to be white and is now yellowish... Ew! Already had purchased the matte white spray but didn't know about using clear coat or the handy spray attachment so I used your links and purchasex both!

    I just spray painted my chairs 🪑. Two are red and one is navy blue. Maybe I need a couple coats. And the spray paint was cheap. So I will try again. And I’m will see if there is a primer perhaps

    Great result Tracie. Just wondering what prep you did for the chair's pre-paint?? Thanks for posting this! I learned a lot by watching........... plan to do it soon to my 2 chairs, because they went from a rich brown, to a faded beige within a few years. Yuck.

    ALTERNATE TO SPRAY PAINTING: The residue is oxidation of the plastic. If you apply high heat, the oxidized plastic will melt back to what it was before - hard and shiny (after all, melting is what made these chairs).
    So you just get a small handlheld blow torch, and just blast the flame over the surface as if you were painting. You will see INSTANT results.
    There is a youtube of a guy doing it - search "(Restoring) Plastic Chairs With Fire!"

    Wow - Great Job! With all this time at home, I am working on cleaning and painting stuff in our backyard. I also never painted plastic chairs and I am about too. How long did you wait between painting the top and the bottom? Also what clear coat did you use? Did you also do the clear coat on the bottom? Thank you so much for your help. I hope my chairs come out as good as yours. I have 8 chairs to do - I am sure I will need a lot of paint.

      These that I have are plastic, so yes. But certain slick type plastics no. Just have to test and see.

    Have you ever done black to navy or the midnight blue? I have some black chairs and flower pots that I want to spay navy or this midnight blue. I’m just wondering if it’s been done before and how it turned out.

      Just wiped down with a damp cloth, wiped dry and then stated with the spray paint! 👍🏽

      Hello! It took about 5 - 6 cans of spray for 2 chairs and 2 ottomans (fool stools) plus about 2-3 cans for sealant spray

      Hi! Paint is still holding up and we covered them up over the winter ❄️ and no clothes bleed because I used that sealer 👍🏽

    I've got a plastic purple chair and I wanna repaint it to make it black , and I'm worrying if they will make a black residue after a period of time , is yours did that residue or not ?

      Hello, No there is no residue because I sprayed a clear sealant on them after the navy blue paint color I used. 👍🏽

    Next time, put cardboard or old sheets down to protect your lawn from the over spray.

    Her Adirondack Chairs are not real ploywood. You don’t paint them, they last a life time

      No they’re not plywood- but you change the color with paint if that’s what someone chooses to do as you see here
