- This is a tour of Condor Ferries new trimaran, fast ferry vessel called Condor Liberation. This was when it was new and before the Liberation had been used for any fare paying passengers and was filmed on the 20th March 2015 in St. Peter Port harbour, Guernsey.
On this tour we will visit the various seating areas, the Casquets Bistro, the bridge, the Adore Duty Free shop, one of the public viewing areas and the two car decks. The only two areas not accessable on the day were the engine room and the upper viewing area behind the bridge, which is much larger then the other public viewing area shown.
It is good to be reminded of getting to another great holiday, much enjoyed! Thank you
I was on her recently. Quite a rough but for me a fun crossing.
Is it fair to say none of these type of fast ferries are comfortable in rough sea? They soon get cancelled as the wave heights increase, leaving the conventional ferries to carry on.
This one can't cope with half the wave height as the Incat catamarans of Condor Express and Condor Vitesse. They could go in fairly rough weather and it would be a pretty comfortable crossing. The Liberation wasn't designed for our waters, I have been told by those in the marine industry. Even waves of 2ft makes it rock side to side a lot, LOL. Though I and many others wrongly call Liberation a catamaran, it is officially a mono hull with stabilizer hulls on the side. 🙂

In my opinion having sailed on this ship several times it is only for those people who are not bothered by extreme rocking if you struggle with sea motion this ship is best avoided you will notice for the entire video the ship is in port
I heard that it's very unstable, everyone that I know went on it said it was horrible.

I have never had a bad experience on this ferry

worth paying the extra to get up from reclining seating with more room.......as shown at 4.15....alas they dont stop the channel being quite rough at times.
Which does effectiviley stop the Liability . Useless pice of junk. If you have to use the ferry to get to the Islands, get the conventional one from Portsmouth, at least you have a chance of getting there.
