Hey! There are deals on both the Soji and Refurbished Amia chairs ending today, so I really want to make my decision. I am 5’10 160 lbs. I really like the idea of getting a new chair with a peace of mind return policy that the soji provides, but I like the idea of the top of the line engineering in the amia. Both are basically the same price, and roughly the upper limit of what I want to spend (although I have looked at the leap v2 refurbished options too many times also). I will be doing a lot of work on a tablet and also like the idea of the forward tilt option on the soji. What do you think I should get?

Hi there! I think you'd honestly be happy with either chair. Your body type is basically the definition of average, so both chairs will have more than enough adjustability options to fit you lol. In terms of buying new, I totally understand that. You'll get a fully assembled chair with 12 year warranty and 30 day returns, but a lot of reputable refurbishing companies also offer you a return policy as well giving you a 12 year warranty directly from them instead of the manufacture. I recommend either Crandall Office or BTOD. I've bought refurbished chairs from both of them and the experience was pretty great in both cases. As for which chair is better, I think the Amia is a better chair which makes sense since it's a $1000+ chair new. I think the seat is more comfortable, the armrests are better, and its just built a bit better overall. The Soji is also great for the price, so you can't really go wrong with it. As for the forward tilt option, I personally wouldn't base your decision off of it. With the Soji, its not even as impactful as is is on soming like the Zody where the height goes high enough to where the forward tilt lets you use it with a standing desk. It's much more subtle on the Soji and in my opinion not even necessary since the Soji's neutral position is already pretty upright. Hope this helps! Please feel free to let me know if you have any more questions! And if you do decide to pull the trigger, I'd really appreciate it if you'd use one my links if I've helped you!
