  • I had plans to walk 10,000 steps for every day for the month of May, and I failed.
I got to the 26th, and lost my way. Anxiety was through the roof, it was pouring it down with rain and I decided NOPE, I don't want to do this.
I stopped walking for 3 full days, and here is where I picked up...

You lost a few battles but still won the war!! I don't see it as a fail..I look at my walking averages too...as long as I got 10 K on average, I am very pleased...so well done you

In fact I came here looking for more! Maybe do a month of runs next! That would be great for your head. Nothing better than long distance jogs for anxiety.

I think I will you know, I've never been much of a runner but have plans to be. Screw it, we're running next!

@@Johns_busy Awesome! 10 years ago I had such bad anxiety that long distance running was a massive help for. Might be rough at first but stick with it and your start to get euphoria at longer distances. Its almost as if the anxiety is converted to joy and motivation. Takes time to get there though.

You did it on average and still not end of month plus you have got back at it. Thats the main thing. Ive been doing duolingo to learn spanish and got a 93 day streak now but had to use 3 streak freezes in last 3 weeks from phone been flat and completely forgot 10th march when northern lights were kicking off! I should have got it done in the morning and then no excuses! My fault. Ive not got out running all week but managed 2 gym sessions. As they say a professional golfer has a few seconds to review and think about his last shot and then has to put it our of his mind and concentrate on the next. Things can also get harder as the novelty wears off and thats where you have to dig in and remember your ‘why’. For the running id suggest doing. A run walk to start wuth. Walk to a lamppost then run to the next etc. build it up to 2 posts etc. and look for a park run near you and get signed up. Its free and good fun. Get your merch on and its also a bit of exposure to lots of fitness minded folk. Keep the ball rolling now you have removed the inertia. 👍💪

You're absolutely right, if you fall off, get back up, dust off and keep going. You should get back on Duolingo and get that Spanish ball rolling again :) That's an incredible thing to know another language

@@Johns_busy spanish ball still rolling - 98 days streak now. Its a good app thats gets you to do it - even a few minutes per day. All adds up. Wish they did a learn guitar version as i keep failing to keep that up so i just know enough for a tootle now and then. When i go see bands i get inspired again wishing i was up there on stage able to play like them 🤣

Have you tried keto, it helps me.

I really respond well to low carb. I find the specifics of Keto quite challenging, but I think it's due to not being properly prepared with meals and snacks that fit 😂
But yes, definitely would like to return to Keto in the future 🙏🏼

This is just the comment I needed to pick that camera up and make more videos. Thank you, you have no idea how powerful a comment like this is :)
