Hero is re-mapping the xpulse 400 engine.. They started the Mavrick 440 project prior the Harley Partnership..so the engine is entirely developed by Hero and Design part is assisted by Harley. And we can se they did a very good job. So yes thats why Mavrick 440 needed to be launched.

I'm eagerly waiting to drive mine out of the showroom end of this month. Same Vivid Red variant. Looked sexier than the S variant to me. I tried the Mavrick as well. Mostly because it has recesses to tuck your knees in but I wasn't impressed with its road presence. I was sitting on it, checking the ergonomics, my cousin arrived, he stood there, looked at it, and said it looked FZ-ish. Sigh! But let me tell you this, the front suspension on the Mavrick felt better to me. It didn't bottom out on the same potholes where the X440's did. If you're good with Mavrick's design, you'll love owning the motorcycle.

The only letdown is the front suspension damping. It's bad. But the rest is a supremely feelsome motorcycle. You'll love the thumping nature of the engine. ❤️

I rode this motorcycle (a friend of mine owns this), this engine is just amazing for touring! It sits @4000 RPM on 6th gear for a speed of 100 kmph! What else do you need, no other bike manages to do this rpm at this speed.
Did a test ride of both x440 and speed 400, man oh man the x440 is just amazing in terms of ride quality it’s torquey it’s stable feels like a HD. Cruises really smooth on 100 kmph. Amazing job done by HD and Hero.
Now that you are going to review Mavrick 440, Please mention few concerns in the video. 1. Is it more comfortable than X440? 2. How is the road presence? 3. Should a person should go for x440, if they have the budget? Or stick to mavrick considering the fact that hero too have a larger network and it is more value for money? I previously had 150CC bike (suzuki GS 150R) so to me, mavrick appeals more as riding triangle is kind of a similar. Earlier I had plans for Meteor 350 so I have dropped it when I took the test ride for this and mavrick.
Test rode both bikes. I ridden both so van guide you. Maverick is very very nimble and agile. I have Xtreme 150 which does feel heavy at b2b traffic speed but mavrick 440 is very flick able. Plus Harley has turtle shaped tank where as Mavrich tank has different design which helps gripped thighs providing excellent grip support. Only con i felt was instrument cluster which should have been bigger and better in Mavrick. Reat its excellent bike and cheaper too than Harley
@@PRATHMH I too took Maverick test ride. Wasn't comfortable with the Gears, found it occasionally stiff and Neutral was often Missing. I don't know whether the problem was in the particular Test Bike or it's in all Mavericks. On the contrary CB350 Gear System was excellent.
@@oshoosho8466 as current bike is hero Xtreme, gear shifts are not so smooth plus its very easy to find neutral and it do make cluck sound which i am used to now😂. Based on that i found mavrik gear shifts are much much better. Meteor gear shifts are kind same like mavrik

Even Ducati just launched 700cc single. Enfield single cylinder bikes are best seller in Europe. But I agree, they should have launched a 300cc or even 250cc v-twin instead.
If you have the budget, and if you like cruising and long rides, go for the X440. If not, and if you just want a machine for city riding alone, a CB350 might be a better choice due to the budget. At the end of the day, do test ride both before you make the decision.

In case Stell doesn't reply, here is my opinion. There is no wobbling or stability issues at any speed. However, I wouldn't at all recommend cruising above 110 kmph. Single cyl bikes aren't meant to be ridden at 110-120+ speeds constantly. Engine feels smooth up to 110 kmph post which there are some vibes.

I'd take off the classic 350 out of the list because it's heavy and less powerful in the lot (one can choose it if that's the spec if they were looking for. I'd choose CB 350 when I am in the mood to ride a slow EV refinement motorcycle. I'd choose the X440 when I want to ride fast and make some road presence. With my riding style, I will be going with the last mentioned option.
Go for x440. Jawa isn't reliable yet Harley has a strong brand value and engine made by hero is also pretty good. Overall a more premium experience than jawa
Honda is VFM in this case from an owners POV. Because it's affordable to maintain. But still said that, pls take a test ride on both motorcycles. I am sure you will be inclined to one after that. Stick to that. Both are good motorcycles for your use.
I own a RS… and let me tell you refinement is next level and the exhaust note uff ❤️❤️🤌🏽… But it does lack power beyond 115-120 which I think is more than enough on Indian highways Only scenario where the x440 makes sense is if you want to ride at 120+ speeds and a very loud(not necessarily pleasant) exhaust note
I actually took the test ride for both the bikes. RS impressed me. You actually dont feel the weight of the X440 when riding...and it adds more of a aspirational value. But RS is a no fuss bike. I will most likely go for the hue edition

I simply don't understand. Buell had a better looking Pan America 20 years ago in the Ulysses, and now Harley is bringing back the Blast as well? Main difference is that was a 500cc single instead and sounded like an actual half a Harley.
For me the main difference between this and something like the Triumph Speed 400 is the confidence it gives to the parent manufacturer to sell it worldwide. The Speed 400 is sold everywhere by Triumph, and Harley only sells this in India. That may only sound like half the story, but it's a testament to the overall quality levels of both bikes. The other half is of course brand strategy, which can vary too.
Internationally, Harley buyers don't mind spending crazy and get a big bike. Even the Harley 750 is frowned upon by the Harley hardcores so imagine launching 440x single cyl harley in western countries. It simply won't work at all.
I have bought this bike, and im a beginner, and it’s manageable, just that momentum feels too much due to weight even on 60-70 km/hr for me. Also this bike is known for being manageable without changing gears much, but even after 2 months of riding i sometimes stall this bike on speed breakers and traffic signals😂😂😅
How’s the experience been like man? Is the weight too heavy to manage especially in cities? I’ll be transitioning from Activa. I know to ride a bike however I learnt that recently, so a beginner myself.

That sounds rather high for rpm for 100kmph I get it's not my softail but that sounds like a grenade

100 kmph is piece of cake for CB350 but i agree it has better top end performance.

A touring seat is provided which is a lot more comfortable than the stock seat for long distance touring. The seat height will go up to 825 mm though.

If I'm not wrong, this is a variation of the Hero dakar engine displacing about the same cubic capacity. Hence, the single cylinder!

I am owner of x440 post 120kmh there is some vibration, I have rode this bike for more than 2 hr at 90 kmh and it was a bliss

The main problem is engine oil cost. If I'm not wrong just the oil cost us around 2.7k .. they shoud reduce the price of it
