You can change it to tubeless tyres by buying aftermarket parts. Do be careful when buying as the quality would be substandard in some cases. Instead, pay extra for the variant with the tubeless tyres. Or you could just buy a set of alloys from Harley Davidson and tyres and fit them to your "Denim" Variant but that would cost more.
Oh yes it does. Everytime I go through Cubbon park, I'm just in awe. The oxygen smells different there, lol. Thanks a lot for watching my video. Do follow me on Instagram @motorcritic where I am more active and post videos and pictures from the rides I go to.
Pretty cool! Thanks for the review. I really like the sound of that exhaust. If it ever comes to the US, it's one I will definitely take a look at. Good to see more bikes like this in the 400 to 450 category. Both the new Royal Himalayan and triumph scrambler 400 are about here.
Thanks a lot! The exhaust sound is just so beautiful. It's a bike that is really under-hyped in my opinion and you must take a look at it. The Royal Enfield Himalayan just upped Royal Enfield's game like crazy. I hope they bring up more bikes like that.
exactly what you said is correct. Remembers the old bullet, when i drove it for first time. it immediately came to my mind "same as old bullet sounds, once accelerated"

Thanks a lot! I really appreciate it. Sure, I will take your point into consideration. Would it be okay if I make videos like that when I'm commuting to my place of work? I'd be riding my bike/scooter to work as I'm comparing two other bikes which I've ridden before.
So which would you pick between this and Speed 400? I still have the day 1 booking for Speed but never went to the showroom in next city cause I kinda lost interest in the bike after seeing its compact size (which works well in big bike like CB650r but not here) and KTM/Pulsar like engine character. I already have 200NS since 2012 and recently test ride J-Enfield 350 and fell in love with it instantly (unlike the UCE Enfield which I dont like) but that bike is underpowered for me and is too common in the neighborhood. So I think this x440 can give me some of the Enfiled feel with its engine while also having enough power to not make it boring on highways. I saw it yesterday in showroom and I already like the way it looks they couldn't give me td as it was closing time and now I am back in my tier 3 town. I also thought the exaust might be best among ANY single cylinder bike currently on sale.
Hi, it's good to see that you have got your hands on multiple different bikes and have gained experience on each one of them. For me, if I had the choice between the X440 and the Speed, I'd go for the Speed 400 solely because of the midrange. In case you're on the lookout for a Royal Enfield Bullet/Classic 500 substitute, the X440 would be the best bike. As I said in the video, this bike reminds me of the old Bullet 500s. I'd actually suggest you to go for the Harley because you've mentioned that you like the J series engine. The Harley is a proper thumper and it's got decent power and is worth every penny. Do consider the Honda CB350RS, H'ness, CB350 as well. It all depends on your riding style. I'm a person who likes to rev my bike out sometimes to feel the pull of the bike rather than getting all the torque in the low end. That's why I'd choose the Speed 400. I'm sorry for replying this late. I'm not very active on RUclips. Feel free to text me on Instagram (@motorcritic) where I am more active and will reply to messages without fail. Thanks.
Harley Davidson has only one showroom in Bangalore, it's the Tusker Harley Davidson over at Lavelle Road. Harley and Hero are collaborating to make new showrooms for the upcoming bikes including the X440. As far as I am aware, the service price must come under 3.5 thousand to 4 thousand rupees which seems quite fine for a 440cc engine from Harley. (I'm really sorry for replying this late, I'm still getting used to posting on RUclips. Feel free to text me on Instagram @motorcritic or posting a comment if you have any doubts.)
I feel the Harley Davidson is the bike to go. The Speed is a compact bike but it actually feels quite tall in my opinion. It feels like you're sitting above the bike compared to the CB350RS and the X440 where you feel like you're sitting in the bike. For a person who is 5'6, it's not impossible to ride the Speed 400 but the CB350RS or the Harley would give more confidence and would make you feel comfortable with handling the vehicle. Comparing the CB350RS to the X440, the X440 feels lighter and easier to handle in my opinion. Do make sure you test ride the vehicles before you buy them and don't feel shy to test ride a couple extra times before you fix on one motorcycle.
Looks great in rider's pov. If they had concentrated their efforts a little more on the design, x440 would have been a no brainer. I think people will refrain from buying this because of its tail design and the gaps throughout. Edit: whats that hideous wire coming out on top like that? couldn't they tuck it in below the handlebar?
I totally agree. If they had made some effort on the rear section, the bike would've been perfect indeed. The bike arouses a lot of questions about the quality and the overall fit and finish as well and I did expect this from Hero. Maybe they would make changes in the future models and fix the gaps. The wires which come out are the accelerator cables. I so wish this bike had ride by wire for the money they ask but hey, we can't really control most of the stuff. They could have tucked the cables and make it come from under the handlebar to make it look better. Maybe they'll do it in the future models.
I am getting my vivid red on 8-9th of Feb btw nice video and I do agree with you it reminds me of the old bullet too and I am more of cruiser guy. I did ride Speed 400 and it’s way too damn gorgeous and finishing is premium rather than X440. But I was attracted to its low end torque and the exhaust.
Congrats on your new bike! I'm really glad that someone understands the similarities of this bike with the Old Bullets. Ride safe and don't forget to invest on safety as well.
That's the least traffic I noticed in Bangalore.....also I don't understand why Autos are still there instead electric mini autos or mini nanos should replace them like japan. Also i wish RE too make something faster like Harley.....The competition will be legendary 😊❤.
Well, To compete with the Harley, they did release the Himalayan 450 (which is not exactly a competition, I'm only talking about the engines and not comparing the adventure vs tourer). Hopefully, RE releases a new lineup with their Sherpa (452cc) engine which includes a scram and maybe a Hunter too. I'm pretty sure RE will not bring back the 500cc/535cc single cylinder engines back because of the emission norms. Addressing the first line, plenty of electric autos have been showing up recently and I'm pretty sure, like the 2 wheeler electric segment, even the 3 wheeler electric segment will pick up soon. Mini Autos aren't going to be really useful for us as autos in Bengaluru usually carry 3 people/2 people with luggage and mini autos just won't have enough space. We do have Mini Nano Autos, the Bajaj Qute, which is a quadricycle, it just needs a while to pick up.
It's not in how comfortable the ride is with a Harley. It's about freedom as the Americans understand it. So, you either get it or you don't. A Harley is more than just a bike. Buy that attitude. Even if it overheats and burns your jeans, a Harley still makes you happy. Or, something like that.
Well, Karnataka has got the highest road tax so that could be a reason why automobiles are expensive in Bengaluru. Anyways, for 3.80 Lakh, I feel this is a bike only for those who really want that Harley Davidson badge or really know the potential of the bike. It wouldn't be a bike that I would suggest anyone with that budget unless someone is looking for a bike that performs better than a Honda CB350/H'ness or a Royal Enfield 350cc segment and really want a Long stroke bike.
Well, looking at it from the Indian market perspective, I'd say the single cylinder Harley is worth it. In case you want a twin cylinder cruiser, you could try the Keeway v302c.
The best review i have seen. I must have seen it 5 times now. Loved how you recorded the sound of the bike.

Is the delivery confirmed? Heard many deliveries are getting delayed
Congratulations! Although I did hear the deliveries were getting delayed.
Yes, that's what I heard from Tusker Harley. Might want to go check with your delivery status in the showroom itself.
Which variant you are getting
Should I consider buying Harley Davidson x440 over gt650??
If you want comfort yes bro buy it off
They are not even in the same segment. I would have bought gt 650 if not for the ride position and vibrations.

I'm actually using a GoPro Hero 11 with no external mic. It's the stock mic.
@@motorcrit interesting!! When I capture with my GoPro 8 it considers the silencer sound as noise and reduces it
Try messing around with the mic settings. Keep wind noise off and try
