  • Want some more light from your green or tan iron? The military LED headlights are great but with just a bit of effort you can swap in your own for a fraction of the cost. Link to lights:

I have a link to the lights and the wiring diagram I worked up at the link above.
Hey I wrote a book, a book about zombies. What can I say I love me a good zombie apocalypse story. You can get it on Kindle, check it out? I would love some feedback and maybe if you liked it could you help me out a leave a review? Thanks!

Yeah i love those lights, i installed on my m925 and m35a2, but i ended up cutting the back of the buckets out so that the lights fit in solid and just like old lights, but looks like you made it work. I did install fuses between the headlights on each side and the light switch, because i was worried about if shorted out it would blow fuse instead frying the switch, if that will work, im not sure, but at least in my mind for extra $10 i hope.

Thank you so much for this video. I am going NOW to hook up mine. I will explore your channel later for videos for the top light bar. I need a tutorial video on that if you have, please paste it here in the comments so I can learn from it

Very nice! Thinking of going with LED dash lights, etc?

I ordered some 24v LED bulbs with the right base but I am not 100% sure they are going to be short enough. I will let you know how it fits.

Excellent video. I enjoy learning from you. I've heard that the one draw-back of the LEDs is the lack of heat generated which leads to ice/snow accumulation on them. Let me know if you experience that, please.

Will do. It sounds like something that could happen for sure.

You said they were military leds. Where did you get them? I don’t care if they are DOT approved. I want to make a snow rig out of a M998 humvee.

I didn't buy the milspec ones, these are just generic Amazon 24v lights. DOT would really have to have it out for you to make this an issue. Mine have worked great for several years now.

Thank you for the video. I enjoy learning from your experience with the 5 ton. Did you ever hook up to turn signals?

    I hooked mine up exactly
As you did but have no lights at all. Any ideas?

Check you have 24v at the headlights when on either with a meter or the old lights. Double check the polarity on the lights either by switching the leeds or just off the 24v side of the battery. My guess is either the led lights need a polarity switch or a hard ground off the back for some reason. If the checks reveal nothing get back to me and we'll scratch our heads again

I hate these things on trucks, freaking blinding, but then I don't drive them, I just meet them on the road.

I hear you and that is a very legit criticism of LED lights. They are so directional and focused alignment is more important. I also suspect that OTR trucks fudge their lights up in an attempt to see deer farther away. You have my word I will adjust these properly so that my low beams are not a lightsaber to the eyes.
