Doesn’t keep that classic look but one of the joys of owning a mini is being able to say yup that’s my mini. I was unsure of how I felt. But I just installed them and I love them. Super easy to do. Thanks love’em
I watched this for installing these lights on my Jeep Wrangler TJ. Yes the only one that breaks it down in simple terms, instead of over complicating the process like every other video.
Best upgrade for safety, can drive at night and see like a modern car, I have chrome background versions and look really good. People always ask about them. 👍🏻 Great video
Your info so useful & im managed to link all wire & make both of my LED Headlight functioning well now. Its very benefited. Keep it up bro…👍👍👍 & 5 STAR for you ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I have had no experience with non-conventional headlights, and I'm trying to troubleshoot why one high beam doesn't work. This video showed me everything I need to know. There is some additional circuitry that is not shown here, so I assume it has something to do with the daytime running light configuration that the original installer wanted. Thanks!
These are great headlights. Just curious, do they come in chrome, or not black facing? The car i am restoring is cream color and black headlights stand out a bit too much.
Hi Phil, great video. As I understand classic minis do not have a very powerful alternators to support a lot of electronics, or advanced lights, etc. So I need to change the alternator? Also I want to get your thoughts on what is the best fog lights and driving lights I see classic minis have. I am looking for 1) what brand/type to buy and 2) How to install them without overloading the powe source. Thx
I wired these but didnt wire indicators. Lights are working fine but outer halo one of the lights stays on when lights are switched off. Any idea why this is happening?
Looks aside I like the simple setup. I take it all the electronics for the LED are in the housing unlike some of the other LED kits where they are in a separate unit that has to be mounted elsewhere?
How is the beam pattern compared to headlights with a proper lens? That's my primary concern with these type of lights. Is it just loads of bright light everywhere, or can they be aimed to meet the DOT/SAE beam standards?
I have a 55 Bel Air and I put these lights in any recommendation when the headlight touches another piece of metal it changes the Halo light back to White. I got a funny feeling when I put my metal spring back on to my metal frame where it holds the light in on a 55 Bel Air it's sending a positive making it switch back to the White Halo look. It's set up for white or orange/amber color. Any recommendations? I was thinking about putting a piece of rubber around my spring to hold the light in I'm pretty sure it's making contact and then switching over automatically to White Halo instead of orange/amber color
Awesome! sketchy though, I swear I just went threw processing to find the ground! anyway, I found the ground (thanks) and seems the lights without the halo ring have the same ground location. And for reasons of non sence and such, I made a bike for myself and my kids and decided to make a bike that is neither a mini bike or full size bike! Can't wait to ride with piece of mind!
I have a 2017 mini. Can I purchase and install these myself? Will there’s be any computer issues after the install? My current OEM lights are extremely ineffective.
I want to wire these into a 1951 Belair Hardtop but not sure how to wire these in and I have a big car show in a few weeks and these would be nice to display with me led tail lights please contact me some assist .
What if my extra wires are grey and brownish and I have an extra blue wire and the wiring harness on my bike had 2 of the 2 prong connections someone help
I bought oem halo lights, all the lights will function when i only turned on the headlight switch. The drl and signal light didn't function when i connect directly to the positive. It only function when turning on the headlight switch
Can I some how connect them and use the halo ring as a day running light but then also connect it to my blinker so when I turn my blinker on it switches to amber and flashes. Then when I turn it shuts off and goes back to day running white halo
do I cut the red wire, no the yellow !! no the red !! sorry couldn’t help it, great system, very serious red wire yellow wire moment, it’s worth buying an S just for the lighting !!
If you are still using your front indicator lamps, then no. It depends on how much resistance is in the circuit after swapping to the LED blinkers. So using your existing bulbs and just adding the LED halo to the circuit shouldn't change the resistance enough to change the pace of the blinker.
I can"t beleive I this is the only video I've found that actually explains the wiring! Thanks bro!

Glad you like them. Congrats on making it your own, whatever that looks like.

some like the classic look, some want a splash of the modern. im debating getting it myself!

Why isn't there any response to this enquiry? Clearly I am not the only one interested in ones in chrome background.
Hi just wanted to know can you connect the indicator halo and the running light halo as well or only one or the other?
Can you get these in silver/chrome rather than black? Making them look closer to the stock headlight?
Evan Hopkins loads on eBay
When will these be back on the website?
Could you sell them again as I can’t find them anywhere on the shop

Would be better in chrome to retain the classic look. Also can you have drl and still use the indicator aswell
Sam we have them in chrome available now on our site 😁
@@Stevestonmotorco how can you wire to where the DRL are on when the headlights are off?
So would u have to run a wire to the right flasher and the left flasher? And have both of those come back to the green wire?
I wired these but didnt wire indicators. Lights are working fine but outer halo one of the lights stays on when lights are switched off. Any idea why this is happening?

Linus A yes they are all internal, very tidy
Because I have the plastic bucket will these lights get hot enough to melt the plastic?😯

They have a good clean cutoff. Crisper than h4 reflector style lamps.
Hi I have a 97 model Suzuki Sierra and im wanting to replace my headlights and wondering if these will fit it?
Can I plug red and yellow wires together to the turn signal's power source?
Hey man love the video but have you got any idea why my amber (indicator) makes my other light flash on and off (white)
That sounds like normal function. The amber overrides the white.
I have a 55 Bel Air and I put these lights in any recommendation when the headlight touches another piece of metal it changes the Halo light back to White.

would it be ok to run a wire from the Halo on the light, to the low beam on the same plug?
Thankyou for that makes sense now got a set of similar lights without drawings and was like cheers china!!
Saved me ages
do these need any resistors inline? and if so what rating will they use?
Do you guys install as well
Help my headlight only powers on in accessory the second I turn on the bike the headlight doesn’t work
Do you not need a fuse for the ring light?
Can you please let me know if there is some like this for audi 80 b2
Chevelle does not have a ground plug in, in the middle just a two straight ones
Can I have the white ring be DRL and the orange ring be blinker at the same time???
Awesome! sketchy though, I swear I just went threw processing to find the ground! anyway, I found the ground (thanks) and seems the lights without the halo ring have the same ground location. How can i have the halo turn on independently on my bike can i wired them with extra switch?
Thank you mr Scott Adkins
Great video, thanks!! 🙌🏻
How do you wire both left and right turn signal to one ring???
Good and simple explained... Thnx friend
Great to hear. Glad it helped 👍
Give me a the link for installation
I have a 2017 mini. Can I purchase and install these myself? Will there’s be any computer issues after the install? My current OEM lights are extremely ineffective.
These lights are for 1959-2000 Minis only. Sorry!
does it have inbuilt fuse?
Hi : Could you please help me to find an original Rover fog light , Thanks a lot
Can you use these on the old land rovers as they are also 7” round headlights? Thanks
This way up 🔝 yes
ADEEL SHUJA are the land rovers the wrong side up for a classic?
I want to wire these into a 1951 Belair Hardtop but not sure how to wire these in and I have a big car show in a few weeks and these would be nice to display with me led tail lights please contact me some assist .

Are the lenses plastic or glass?
Is it possible to have them as DRL whites but then have them switch to amber for your turn signal as well?
Plastic, and yes.
yes you can done mine that way
I bought oem halo lights, all the lights will function when i only turned on the headlight switch. The drl and signal light didn't function when i connect directly to the positive. It only function when turning on the headlight switch
Many thanks sir if you could help me. i unstalled the oem halo lights to my suzuki carry multicab
Did you figure it out
When are they available again ?
could you use these lights as foglights?
Just bought a set for my 81 camaro!
Awesome!!! 🔥
How bright is it cause I also have an 81 camaro myself and I was curious if I needed to get anything else
Any idea why my light wont shut off with the key when I run a wire from my battery like described
Well you want to give it power from a switched source, like a headlight switch 😄
that has wiring failure, when halo turns on,so does the high beam ?
Does anyone know if you can swap the plastic bowl for the older metal bowl in an MPI mini??
Will these work in a 63 VW Beetle?
These are also 7", but we can't 100% confirm about beam angle and headlight bucket fitment.
Will it fit for 2013 Mini Cooper s
Can I some how connect them and use the halo ring as a day running light but then also connect it to my blinker so when I turn my blinker on it switches to amber and flashes. Then when I turn it shuts off and goes back to day running white halo
Absolutely. That is how the video shows to wire them for that effect. The amber circuit for the blinkers automatically overrides the white.
Does anyone know if the ones on aliexpress are the same as the super expensive ones for sale in us?
They are the same, Only the expensive one are 100% tested on quality those from Ali are not.
A dream came true ...
silly question, i have these to install, which way do they go up?
Check out the photos on our Instagram and website!
there are 3 mounting ' lugs ; that match the oem bucket
Minute 1:24 shows white as low beam, blue is high beam, black ground
can i us low beam orange light and high beam on white light? (sorry fore my bad english)
Yes, if you like.
How do you wire so the Day running light ring stay on?
Did you ever find out??
It's a neat solution, but I don't think the classic mini suits modern looking headlights.
Would this fit a Morris minor ?
They *should* fit with no modifications required. Small chance that trimming of the headlight bucket is required, depending on which style they used.
My amber light isn't turning on
Hi, if this is a technical problem with our headlights, please email us at mail@stevestonmotorco.com
Thanks Man..!
do I cut the red wire, no the yellow !! no the red !!
sorry couldn’t help it, great system, very serious red wire yellow wire moment, it’s worth buying an S just for the lighting !!
😂
awsome
These look like they are or a car in a game called "The Small" for licencing reasons.
Wish you shipped to asia :(
Not a fan of these Pepboys lamps. 💜 what you guys do, but c’mon....
Thanks for the comment. They're definitely not everyone's cup of tea.
Is it just me or does he kinda look like Adam levine
Will I need to add a resistor to avoid my blinkers blinking fast? Heard that’s a thing. Thank you.
If you are still using your front indicator lamps, then no. It depends on how much resistance is in the circuit after swapping to the LED blinkers. So using your existing bulbs and just adding the LED halo to the circuit shouldn't change the resistance enough to change the pace of the blinker.
Mines is going on a 72 olds I don’t have daytime running lights, how would I get the halo to stay on
just tap/ wire into a ' key on/ running ' ( not start ) on your harness
