Check out the last season of Survivor Michigan it had a good rivalry too
the Doug vs Eric storyline is phenomenal and Chris being blindsided was SO good - you'd never see people make risky moves like that on real life survivor

Holy shit!!! Chills! This was classic Survivor - Anders and the rest of Survivor Maryland production, you deserve to be proud of this ep!
Eric is a king. Periodt.
First, with the clutch immunity win when it was very likely him going home. And then Eric susses out the majority alliance's plan and totally upends the power structure using both logic AND intimidation. And finally, his performance at tribal: I'll say it again, Holy shit!!!
I'm stanning Eric for however much longer he lasts in this game. Balls-to-the-wall, aggressive gameplay this early generally is not a good idea for long-term survival ... but in Eric's case, he actually needed to do this just to have a better chance of making merge. Such a boss.

I'm just here to comment that Eric is now my favorite Survivor Maryland player ever.
Eric is the best, how many times do we see people have the complete wrong read of a situation and get taken out? He confided in Amanda and knew enough to realize that was a mistake and he acted accordingly. I do gotta give credit to Doug, who might be one of my fav opposition leaders to my fav (Eric). He has a sense of humor about the game but also doesn't insult or put down others. He plays it clean and pulled off a master move to come to some sort of truce last minute, sacrficing a piece to save himself. Amanda needs to see that Eric was right all along and perhaps her being left out of this vote might help her realize that. Eric and Dain did a great thing in exposing Sadie's attempt at being a hidden floater between both sides, forcing her to reveal and pick a side. The next level gameplay here is amazing. I also just love the vibe of Dale Aram and glad she chose the right allies who put on a show to save her.
The other side, Evan was a good comic relief but I knew his time was numbered. Abbie clearly isn't as invested as others shown by her lack of material (I don't blame the edit as in survivor maryland they typically show content if they have it). Ange seemed worried that she could be next on the block after Evan but I think worse case scenario (which i don't see occurring) is that she is the split vote name with Josh and josh has had no luck finding that idol.
Evan kept forgetting to show his vote to the camera and that was funny.
Loved the gross food challenge, but I feel you should have forced them to drink more of their drink.
I also was hoping both Josh and Eric would be immune and like magic, it occurred.
Also Morgan and Ange are doing a really good job at managing the Chikasha tribe and I think they have a lot more sway than they believe they do

Eric is easily the easiest and most liked person in gen 2 so far
NOOOOOOO EVAN! I'm so sad. I really felt like and hoped they were gonna set up Evan as this UTR Fabio-type player that's more aware of what's going on than everybody realizes. And I felt like the edit of last week's episode was playing into that falsehood, which is why I started stanning him ugh. Oh well, Eric was the mvp of this week by far and I love his rivalry with Doug. I feel like this is gonna be the central arc of this season and tbh, I couldn't be happier. So far, their dynamic is certainly more interesting than most if not all the dynamics of New Beginnings, so well done Anders! This has been an excellent pre-swap so far, can't wait to see what happens next.
This episode was SO GOOD and exciting!!! Josh and Eric both winning made a lot of people scramble it was great. Josh does really need to find an idol somehow or he'll be in trouble next week lol. Santi playing super well and apparently is more loyal to Angie that her to him?? hmmm we'll see it seems like people are noticing he's very good and considering going for him but I don't want to see Santi go... Loved that scene where they were talking about trying to fool the girls into thinking the guys are voting Morgan... in front of Jasmine. JAM best alliance I love how they were trying to split the boys up!

but was the pascal content ENTERTAINING!! it was!! I was screaming when the music started playing and it seemed like it wouldn't work because Amanda wouldn't vote Doug but then it was actually possible with the advantage too and I had no idea by the time they went to tribal who was going. I was hoping it wouldn't be Doug bc then they could go to rocks and I don't think anyone would flip (and also I don't want Doug to go. I'm an Eric AND Doug stan yes we exist) but they made the great choice of choosing someone else and DOUG SLYTHERIN KING of course was ready to flip to avoid rocks I knew it since he talked about flipping on Amanda < 3333 AND NOW THEY MIGHT WORK TOGETHER??? I mean I don't think they trust each other at all but WHAT IF. THEY REALLY DO WORK TOGETHER. I've been manifesting this Alison x Jun duo since the beginning of the season and I'm SO excited for it to maybe actually really happen!!!
Even if it doesn't, since if Eric hadn't won they could have just voted Eric out I am so so happy that he did win and we got this instead. No matter what happens I'll be happy with this.
I'm sorry if I don't make any sense it's 2 am where I live and I'm hyped after watching it live : DDD

I can’t stand players like Amanda lol everything is correctly laid out to you and you run the information back to the people who are targeting you and bury the person trying to help you

I came into this tribal thinking there was no way that Eric would pull off getting one of the South Quad crew eliminated. And then he did that. What a freaking move! Also, Doug vs. Eric is iconic.
I was so invested in that second tribal! But I'm lost where did that Chris vote come from? I got blindsided! I"m loving the power struggle of that tribe, there's just too much of nothing happening in the other one.
Bold and blind guess: Josh wins this season! No reason. Just a likeable guy that couls potentially survived the bloodbath thats gonna be the Eric vs Doug rivalry....

The two people I wanted badly to win Immunity did! I loved how the smoothies were pretty color coded as well :P
So much good scrambling and honestly great play by Eric to wrest Sadie to his side, at least for this vote. However... man, SOMEONE needs to find that damn idol! I hope Eric can get it soon! Felt kinda bad for Evan, but I do wonder if it was probably a better move to keep him as a more loyal soldier than Ange or Abbie who might have more sway down the line.
Looking ahead, man, if Eric/Doug work together that would be AWESOME! Santi's not gonna be able to hide for much longer, it seems... and that TWIST is FANTASTIC and I can't wait to see how it plays out!
Great episode, the end was electric! I like that the Doug vs Eric rivalry hit its first climax without having any of the protagonists actually voted out yet, this doesn't happen often. I believe it would have been absolutely perfect with a bit more clueing to make the result less "out of nowhere" (Chris ='( ) but hey, that's nitpicking and the episode was awesome anyway.
Poor Evan though, he was my "unexpected wtf winner" pick but I knew he was gone when we got into tribal council and still didn't get any proper content on Abby. There's a lot that can be said on the strategic game of the JAM alliance, overall I find it extremely interesting, complex, and quite ambitious/risky as they're relying more and more on their ability to pit the forefront players of their tribe against each other.
doug vs eric will hopefully be doug and eric the powerful duo secret alliance working together starting for next episode. pls that would be iconic

I liked Chris the most out of that side so a bit sad but very happy Dale Aram survived ❤️

LOVEDDDD PASCALA! They are so dynamic I was shocked to see Chris go and about a moment ago, I was ssying that Chris is in a great spot but I think he was kind of an Ethan. He was the most tangible of that group and the one they would want to willingly sacrificed. What would have happened if Sadie told Eric to vote Amanda???
I feel like Chikasha is very smart but they are not outwardly showing and waiting for the right time to strike. I really want Liam to get blindsided!! I also really enjoyed Dail (From Paschala). Very aware and understood that his optimum more was to join Dale Aram and Eric. Here are my power rankings -

Not gonna lie. After the first tribal I was ready to back up that I felt a lot of the early episodes were just easier votes that were more set up for future episodes with the cores of each tribe solidifying and the outliers being taken out but that last tribal I think was the real shake up we needed.
Eric was my favorite player coming into this because I appreciate his strategic mind and I really saw a lot of myself in him as a fellow Asian man but he really potentially blew this game wide open with that move. I honestly felt if next week was a normal week with no swap that there would be a very real possibility of the remains of the South Campus Alliance and Sadie really solidifying to take out Eric/Dain/Dale Aram (my 3 favs on Pascala) but with that teaser I can't wait to see how it shakes up. There is a chance Doug can use his connections with Santi to take Eric out if they are put in that situation but I think with Santi's slow descent from the power position we started to see this week things could get really interesting.
The whole time I was thinking they have the shot at Doug and should fully take it but I honestly think his relationship with Sadie single handedly saved him and doomed Chris as Sadie probably agreed to take out Chris thus ensuring the majority for the Eric group. I do think Eric was a bit forward at Tribal with how everyone should vote his way logically which probably doesn't endear him to Amanda, Tim and Doug. I do feel he is focusing more on the logic/strategic aspect than the personal aspect which I know was brought up in previous roundtables. But for as long as he is here I stan Eric.
For Chikasha I think it was a pretty straightforward vote but I think the most important parts we saw was the set up for 2 sides possibly going at each other. I originally had Jasmine in the middle key position but now I think Liam is slowly sinking into that spot and I love seeing the way he thinks strategically. On one side is Morgan and Ange with Jasmine more with them but partially in the middle and on the other is Mike who has Abbie and if he sticks with it Santi who has Josh. The main takeaway I have is I think this is where we start to see the JAM alliance really take control as Mike will go for Josh and possibly vice versa which keeps them in the number with Liam pulled in. I do think Santi is slowly falling out of his power position as we see him getting a bit more comfortable and wanting to just ride the wave of a tribe united but he doesn't have Ange as locked in as he thinks and I think he is being too obvious in pulling Josh in that it is setting himself up as a target.
Overall, I CANNOT WAIT for next week and that teaser to see how things shake up as there is a real possibility we see a big player go out. Right now I think some of the women are in the best spot to win as the guys I view as big players have a big target on them such as Doug (in his feud with Eric), Santi (slowly falling out of majority) and Mike (who appears too focused on Josh to worry about the JAM alliance seizing control). I thought Liam's perception with the cleats thing set him up as not as fluid as the other tribe won't like him but of the guys I do like what I am seeing and think he could set himself up well. I do think though right now the women are the real power players controlling the tide of the game with Jasmine, Morgan and Sadie right now as some of my top contenders.

That move to blindside Chris over Doug was MASTERFUL. Tim takes no blame, Amanda is the only one who wasn’t in on the plan so she feels alone, but at the same time it puts the minority in a better position to swing Amanda. And Eric proved he will use his advantages to save his allies which makes him an ideal ally. The only person who didn’t benefit from that vote, aside from Chris, was Amanda, and even she can find a way out of this. Lots of possibilities for the upcoming rounds!
Eric is the fucking best!! Quickly becoming one of my favourite college players of all time. Not sure why Doug wasn't taken out in the end though??
Why not vote out Doug at the end? He already knows Eric is targeting him.

I believe Sadie didn't let them vote for Doug and they accepted it in order to avoid a tie. With Chris gone, the tribe is still divided, she is still in the middle and she can keep working both sides.
Doug knowing his name was out there was ok to compromise and vote out someone from his alliance whereas Chris and Amanda were not
This episode was fantastic! The strategy on both sides were crazy in depth and entertaining. Everyone is coming to play especially on Pascala.
Also Amanda already gave me Nicole F. (Big brother) vibes and this episode cemented that. She easily could go down the same trajectory and be seen as a goat until it’s too late. I would love for her to take revenge on either Doug or Sadie for turning on her.
That blindside reminded me of Chelsea (from Island of the Idols) boot or Ethan (WaW) boot. Happened at the exact same tribal and sent home the person who’s name was mentioned once instead of the big targets. I am curious to know why Doug was so willing to drop Chris over Amanda though.

Ugh I wish Eric stuck with his guns and took out Doug!!! But Sadie has too much influence in the vote. Sadie definitely still a power player but I think her best option is to take out Amanda next. I hope the tape alliance survives next week and Eric too.
