- In this video I will show you how to enable
high Res Audio Output On PowerAmp
Many devices support hi-res output, special amplifier modes, different higher gain settings, etc. for (e.g. qualcomm based: Xiaomis, asuses, etc.). Some devices (Samsungs & LG) just output high ultrasound frequncies.
Note: To get the full 32-bit/192kHz audio
Disable DVC & turn on No Headroom Gain

I am using some cheap TCL phone and I followed these adjustments. The sound comes from a Yamaha sound projector a high end (older) soundbar. I also installed the Neutron player on the same phone. I cannot help it but I like the sound from the Neutron player a LOT better now that both players have the Hi Res enabled. I would very much prefer the PowerAmp for its better user interface, but better sound is better sound! But (!) I have a LG V30 coming and then we shall see which produce the better sound PowerAmp or Neutron player... I realize there are a lot of variables
As a fan on LG Should I tell you which one that will get better sound quality?
Should I spoil it for you or wait for you to test?

It worked and I det it on 384Khz and "No DVC" is not greyd out I mean the option works even my phone support only 192 khz. What does this mean? I also checked that in the output and it seems it works
Thank u G , I changed the output but wasn't showing high res until I plugged in headphone
You are welcome
Hi! Id like to ask, my phone does support 24-bit internal but no headphone jack. What if Ill use a 32bit DAC dongle, does it work? does the usbc-dongle works instead of internal 24-bit? many thanks
24bit is what gonna work
does it work on spotify?
No
I'd like to know as well
Bro when i turned sample rate to 192 khz it show using 48khz even though my devices support 24bit 192khz
It's the Audio you are playing
should use DAC or only headphone jack?? btw my phone is supported by hi-res when i check in gsm webstine

I also have a video for external DAC

I didn't know that I only get 32-bit if the headphones are wired. I thought bluetooth was better 🤦♂

Today i am having issue with hi-rec settings, when i keep hi rec sitting phone screen is turning off. It worked fine still last week. My phone has 12 gb ram, and diamoncity 1200 processor. Still facing issues need help.
Try resetting PowerAmp settings
What if you have Bluetooth earbuds that support aptx adaptive. Can u get 32bit with them?
No, that's why wired headset are better
Even after changing the sample rate to 384khz , my sample format still stays 16bit . What should i do ?
There's nothing you can do, that's what you can get on your device
@@ElvisChibundu and this is just one of the reasons why I am giving up on Poweramp... after trying for who knows how long, it just won't allow 24-bit on my LG phone... max is 16/48....

Bro I have home theatre that support 24 bit but my output is 16 bit why how to change setting for my home theatre in bluetooth
Bluetooth sucks, use cable & get the full output
I have a problem when changing the sample format on Hi Res Output to 32bit the volume gets lower but if i change it to 24bit or 16 the volume are higher
There you have it 24bit is the sweet spot for your device
To get the full 32-bit/192kHz audio
Disable DVC & turn on No headroom Gain
What’s PowerAmp DVC?
DVC stands for "direct volume control". It's an android-specific option. When activated Poweramp transfers its output directly to the DAC
@@ElvisChibundu should i enable dvc?
@@ibrasoetandyo728 of course it's Enable by default with PowerAmp
@@ElvisChibundu Not sure why But it sounds awful on my headphone, its like no balance between the instruments, the instruments are louder than the vocal and more closer into your ear, i'm using S21 Ultra and there's a feature called Dolby Atmos for music it makes instrument more fuller balance and richer and i enjoyed this feature, it seems DVC conflict this Dolby Atmos, i'm still not sure if i should enable DVC
Power AMP DVC don't work together with any other sound system better turn it off if you have Dolby or DTS if you gonna use high res audio
Im using this since 2012 with my Samsung galaxy young, now im using huawei p30 pair with sony xb910n 😍
