My dad put a set of bead lock wheels on his 1500 and is trying out different air pressures and adjusting the suspension to find his comfort zone. Mom likes the soft ride where he likes a little more firm . Maybe they can find the happy medium. lol. That’s the only complaint they have about the machine so overall that are really pleased with it.

The ride and traction were excellent...my wife really needed a grab bar to stabilize her body. I'm glad your parents are happy with their machines, ride safe and thank you.

Great little adventure. Glad your wife came along. I like the Honda Talon the best though! Stay safe! 😳👍🇺🇸

I never thought I'd own another CVT machine...until I drove this. This transmission is nothing like a typical CVT...amazing they've struck pay dirt. Thank you for commenting the Talons a great machine ride safe.

Hi Pete I drove one of these at my dealer and loved the smoothness and the low rpm and low noise level of the powertrain. The cab has more room and the seats are more comfortable than the standard Rangers but I really want an Expedition ADV with this powertrain although the price would be insane. I ask my dealer to try and find out at the up coming dealer show if they might put this powertrain in the NorthStar ADV, one can only hope lol.

I couldn’t agree with you more. I applaud Polaris for developing the Expedition but the cab notice is way way too loud and it is underpowered with high revs. I was probably over concerned with tipping the Ranger especially with my wife. Let’s hope Polaris expands this engine and transmission into other machines. Thank you for commenting ride safe 🙂

You said you had other sxs’s comparing this to those which do you prefer for trail riding? My wife always complained about the dust in my RZR when we road in the desert in AZ.

On a very groomed trail with no off cambers the XD 1500 is bar far my choice...but unfortuneatly our trails are more agressive so I use my Honda Talon Live Valve. The engines and transmission in both are amazing. Ride safe and in peace.

You’re in Ny right? What trail system are you on here?

I live in NY. This trail is in Smethport Pennsylvania. The trail is called Majestic loss trails. It’s about 20 minutes south of Bradford, Pennsylvania. It’s a great trail. Highly recommended, although it is aggressive with hill, climbs, and descents. Let me know if you ride it please ride safely and thank you for commenting.

When are manufacturers going to make a sport sealed cab HVAC model? Looks miserable driving that machine

Actually, if this machine wasn’t so top-heavy, it was my most enjoyable ride as far as comfort and the performance of the engine and transmission. I extremely liked it on the trail. I firmly believe that they don’t fully close side-by-side because it adds too much weight to the Machine for off camber trails making it dangerous and the extra suspension needed to counter the high center of gravity would make the machine so expensive and even heavier that’s not a venture than anyone wants to pursue my ed 1500 Polaris. Ranger is probably the best UT ever made possibly even the best side-by-side. The engine and transmission and the quality of the cab is just beyond anything I thought would happen in the off-road industry for a long, long time. No doubt it comes with a cost, but if you’ve been around these machines as long as I have, you know that it’s worth the money great design by Polaris please ride safe, thank you for commenting and go in peace
