I don’t get why everyone mad about it being her first guitar. First of all, player series is essentially a entry level fender, still fantastic option of course, but especially for a where she’s at, it sounds like she’s not an early beginner guitar player either. Second, it doesn’t lose its value. If later she doesn’t care for playing it, she can sell it and get most of their/her money back or if she does pursue it, she has a solid guitar that will grow with her that will sound great in recording, live, etc. Good for you, girl! That’s amazing!
Thank you so much! I am so lucky to have this guitar and I have no intention of quitting...ever. Thank so much for the support, I really appreciate it :)
the best advice i got about the most suitable guitar for beginners is that guitar that can make the player play forever. it’s amazing that she got her dream guitar because then she’d always be happy playing it. 💞

Whoever is starting to play guitar, here are some tips. 1. I'd recommend getting a guitar that fits your music taste, and what you want to play. For example; if you want to play metal and have an acoustic guitar; it just won't work out. 2. Do not rush yourself to become good. Start with simple tabs and chords. 3. Guitar may seem hard when you start, and it is. The hard part is starting, and getting used to the sore fingers (The sore fingers will go away) and hard chords. 4. Expensive doesn't always mean good, start with gear that is around 150-300 dollars (if you're going with a classical or acoustic guitar) for electric guitars, 200-500 is a good range. 5. If you're getting a kit guitar, try getting it set up at the nearest guitar center; the 30-80 dollars are worth it, and you will not regret it. 6. Start with simple and open chords, the easiest chord shapes I know of are C major, D major, A minor, and G major. (G major may be a stretch though) 7. If you're at guitar center, or any musical store, pick any guitar you want to play. You don't always need to ask for help or permission to play certain guitars, although make sure it's not a guitar you cannot play. Usually you don't need to do this. 8. Use a metronome, or just google 'metronome' to play in the pace of the song you're playing. Thank you for reading, I hope this was helpful.
i was just smiling for the whole 10 minutes. this is was just too pure & wholesome that your parents support and hype you up when you actually opened your present.
I'll give you some pickup tips. top position is the pickup closest to the neck next position down is neck and middle pickups middle switch position is middle pickup next position down is middle and bridge or rear pickup bottom is the bridge pickup . It has a 5 position switch , neck pickups have a deeper bass tone, while bridge has more treble or high pitched sound. and you can mix the tones with the two tone knobs in each switch position. The sounds you can get are almost endless. Enjoy your guitar
Hi, I really love electric guitars but I don’t know much about them. I wanted to get the squier bullet stratocaster but It has a tremolo and I don’t wanna use it (at least not in the beginning) can I just not use it? Or would that cause any problems
@@powerpuffcurl1459 If you don't want a tremolo, then I suggest getting a hardtail squier bullet strat. Hardtail basically just means that it has no tremolo. Pretty much the only difference between them is that one has a trem system and other doesn't. Also hardtail can be shortened to HT. You don't really need to know that but I think that it will help you look for guitars that suit your taste.
Your enthusiasm and reaction to the sound tells me you're going to be an amazing musician. I'm looking forward to when you find your very own sound. UPDATE: She's amazing.
You need a better amp for it will really let you hear how good the guitar is, the amp really is your sound and the guitar is the tool, a good amp will bring out how good and clear sounding the tool is. 🙂 take care hope this is useful
@@strangerkaia5684 a good beginner amp i would recommend is the fender mustang lt25 cost around 150ish it teaches u what type pedal sounds u like and stuff so you can get a good idea how u want your guitar to sound in the future because all amps are different
Suggest floating around reverb pages for a used Fender Blues Jr., or a 🔥 Hot Rod Deluxe 🔥 if you're looking to just buy one amp that will play even huge venues, which is still affordable when used. Tube amps have a brilliance that you won't get with a modeling amp, because its the nature of the beast. Tubes are breathing power stages. Solid state amplifiers are valveless (lack tube power stages) and sound much less phonetic and responsive because of it. Either way, best of luck on what will be a wonderful journey. (Blues Jr. used is roughly 400 in best condition or for special editions used, around 600 new) Hot Rod Deluxe is 600-700 used, and 900ish new. Shipping is usually free on amplifiers. This will require pedals to augment the sound beyond simple drive. These amps both have drive, clean, and top notch reverb channels.

Why you need to get a good tube amp ,and terrorize them , night and day. They're good practice ,for all the haters out there. I was also heavily discouraged, but still at it, 3 decades later.
the trail effect you mentioned is called delay, there shoud be a knob on your amp that lets you adjust it, the other effect that had like a spacey vibe like the guitar was in and out of phase is called a phaser and also you should ba able to adjust it in your amp

Seeing someone so happy and full of music when they open such a beautiful instrument fills me with joy. Never sell it. Grow old with it. Spend so much time with it. It'll give you songs out of the sky
Congratulations! I remember when I felt like that when opening my first Fender Stratocaster. It took me a while to realise that I love Orange amps (it's a brand and a colour) and really heavy metal sounds. I went through a number of amps to arrive at that point as your musical styles might change over time and so will your sound preferences. I also have to say that new tech has come a long way and you don't necessarily need a valve (tube) amp to get really nice sounds from an amp. You'll probably want a pedal or two after a while. The tones in the amp are great for a beginner, but after a year or so of playing, you'll probably discover that you want something a little different than what your current amp offers, or maybe just a little bit more fine tune-able. The world of effects pedals is right now seemingly endless. Tons of pedals for the same basic thing, and most of them do something just slightly different than the other. My first Orange amp was a Crush12, and I just recently upgraded to a Crush 35RT because it has features that I found myself desiring. That's a great guitar and amp. The amp will work well for you for years. It'll take you a while, but you'll eventually upgrade the amp. As to any advice. Learn scales, and songs, solos are almost entirely comprised of scales. Something to not do immediately is to attempt to shred (playing really fast around and past the 12th fret) as it's not easy to do well, and generally looks and sounds bad when you're really new. I would concentrate on musical phrasing which is how to connect chords and strum patterns to send a message and a feeling. Think of it as having a conversation with someone. Shredding sounds cool for a very short time, but conversations ebb and flow where you talk faster, then slow a little, maybe pause for a second or so, and then start saying something again. Listen to BB King and Ben E King. They're wonderful guitarists who wouldn't make it past the first rounds of today's guitar competitions, but everyone knows who they are, and most (including myself )have no clue who won the 2019 guitar shredding contest.
Wow thank you for such a thoughtful comment! I really appreciate it!! I have a feeling I'll gravitate towards Orange amps in the future (the color is so cool and I've heard great things about them!). Thank you for your advice I'll definitely keep it in mind. Thank you for watching💘

I'm 33, I've played for 20 years... I just ordered my first strat a couple days ago and I feel all giddy too I can't wait. Trust me, if you don't feel this way, you don't need the guitar lol good for you
I am so excited for you!!! It's crazy how amazing a new guitar makes a person feel!
lmao i know right! i have a squier black and whit telecaster and i love it so much!
20 yearsss??? Dude that's so insane omg
i'm a guitar player but i always wanted to get into bass. strange enough, i went on a date with a guy who had a bass that was kinda old and had some issues, mostly with the volume knobs, and he just gave it to me for free on our second date. what surprises me even more is that it's a fender. its an amazing bass, i have it getting repaired atm, the guy randomly blocked me i guess because we didn't have much in common and more than anything i'm just a little sad i cant thank him enough for the amazing bass. this bass is better than the two guitars i own.
What a crazy story! I can't beleive he just gave it to you!! ...and then blocked you?! Haha that's wild, but at least you got a good bass out of it. He seems like a nice person. I wish you the best with your new bass!!
@@amynheld yeah... it honestly makes me a little sad he blocked me because having a boyfriend who i could play music with sounds like a lot of fun :( but i dont hold it against him, sometimes we just find something in a person we realize we dont find attractive and he didnt have the guts to tell me. i'm just soooo thankful for this bass, unexpected birthday gift lol
wowww what a trash guy for blocking you -_- im so sorry, well atleast you got a bass for free out of it!! u can always find another guy, and u guys can play music together, dw sis!!
@@nostalgiataxi conflicted whether to call him nice or a little flakey. But either way, he IS ‘nice’ to have given a bass- a fender- is not something anyone could give away to quickly without a thought even if they needed some repairs or unsatisfactory. I got my first guitar from a guy I also have been seeing too. A Jazzmaster. I felt absolutely the same as you.
The power of BASS
imo i don't think fender player series are entry level but i guess everyone has different opinions haha. agree with the points, people shouldn't get so worked up about it and she seems really happy with the guitar :)
Do u think this guitar is good for beginners cause i kinda wanna get that one

(G major may be a stretch though)

I'll give you some pickup tips. top position is the pickup closest to the neck
next position down is neck and middle pickups
middle switch position is middle pickup
next position down is middle and bridge or rear pickup
bottom is the bridge pickup . It has a 5 position switch , neck pickups have a deeper bass tone, while bridge has more treble or high pitched sound. and you can mix the
tones with the two tone knobs in each switch position. The sounds you can get are almost endless. Enjoy your guitar
Thank you so much!! This was very helpful, I really appreciate it :)
@@powerpuffcurl1459 yes you can just unscrew the trem arm and not use it

I'm looking forward to when you find your very own sound.
UPDATE: She's amazing.
You need a better amp for it will really let you hear how good the guitar is, the amp really is your sound and the guitar is the tool, a good amp will bring out how good and clear sounding the tool is. 🙂 take care hope this is useful
What's that a good amp considered like the amp name and price
@@strangerkaia5684 a good beginner amp i would recommend is the fender mustang lt25 cost around 150ish it teaches u what type pedal sounds u like and stuff so you can get a good idea how u want your guitar to sound in the future because all amps are different
@@strangerkaia5684 Its best to get something with a high watt, like Fender Champion 100 Watt. Great amp!
@@rainbowbridge4766 why would you get something high watt lmao
Suggest floating around reverb pages for a used Fender Blues Jr., or a 🔥 Hot Rod Deluxe 🔥 if you're looking to just buy one amp that will play even huge venues, which is still affordable when used. Tube amps have a brilliance that you won't get with a modeling amp, because its the nature of the beast. Tubes are breathing power stages. Solid state amplifiers are valveless (lack tube power stages) and sound much less phonetic and responsive because of it. Either way, best of luck on what will be a wonderful journey.
(Blues Jr. used is roughly 400 in best condition or for special editions used, around 600 new)
Hot Rod Deluxe is 600-700 used, and 900ish new. Shipping is usually free on amplifiers. This will require pedals to augment the sound beyond simple drive. These amps both have drive, clean, and top notch reverb channels.

5:45 that feeling of listening the first note! DOPE!
the trail effect you mentioned is called delay, there shoud be a knob on your amp that lets you adjust it, the other effect that had like a spacey vibe like the guitar was in and out of phase is called a phaser and also you should ba able to adjust it in your amp

This is my new fav video on the internet
