Well, I'm probably getting my first electric guitar on Saturday (I'm going to the music shop, I hope we get it). I saved enough money for guitar and amp 'cause I had to save money on my own, but it's ok, I learnt how not to spend money hahah. I'M SO EXCITED!! I started playing the guitar when I was 11 (about a year ago) in July, so I decided that I need electric too. Music is my passion, so I also play the drums, a little piano and I try to sing well. Ps. I'm not sure if we get the guitar, but I hope so... wish me luck!!

"it looks pretty" is the best argument for picking a guitar. You need a reason to feel cool and pick it up for practice. If you don't like the way it looks, you won't pick it up for practice.
Little tips ! Use a pick , its more accurate , you will have much more stability and control on your right hand, so try as much as possible to always keep your index finger in contact with the fretboard and let the other fingers do the work. This way you save a lot of unnecessary movement which makes progress more difficult. Practice at low speed until you feel it's easy and you know the piece well, then increase the speed and you'll have a lot of ease. You got this ! 😁
Really? I find it way more harder to be precise with a pick. Maybe it’s because I started learning with finger style but using just your fingers seems more controllable.
@@toybonniesfm my friend has this problem too.. but now (since I joining his Church member) he can playing both finger style and pick style for any genres... I really want to get into electric guitar but I'm completely beginning and don't know how to start. I know your probably a busy person but if there was any way you can help can you please 🙏🏽
@@nayyawoods Hi Nayya. That's alright - absolutely I can help impart some advice if I may. First and foremost I would say that we all had to start somewhere so don't feel overwhelmed about anything at all and that includes how old you are. The old adage that age doesn't matter rings true and this goes both way if you think you're too old or too young to understand. Second of all, I would say do what you want to do. Do not fall in the trap of learning theory because you think you have to or play the type of music you think you should as a beginner. Ultimately, you do you. Now - as a first electric I've got to say the new generation have an abundance of high quality gear for not a lot of money so go and spoil yourself to as much budget as you think you can. You can get a very decent guitar for £150 odd (Kramer Baretta Special) and a decent enough amplifier for two digit figures (Black Star Fly 3 Portable amp). The important thing to remember is to get a guitar that you like and will motivate you enough to keep playing. As a beginner I'd really recommend something like a Squier Classic Vibe if you've got the budget for £350 odd but as I say Kramer offer a very decent guitar at very reasonable prices. Similarly Harley Benton offer decent guitars at sensible prices. What is your budget? Ultimately it boils down to the style of music you want to play. Different guitars offer different styles and variations to your playing but I'd say something like an S type (Stratocaster), T Type (telecaster) or Les Paul type are more than versatile enough for most music. What music do you like? What motivated you to play guitar?
@@EricCPOP Well alot of songs inspire me so I kinda want to play all genres and I heard the telecaster was really good for that. @@nayyawoods I don't think pedals are a music if I'm honest. I'd focus more on the guitar and amplifier first and the pedals can come second. A Telecaster is a great choice and is versatile enough for most music. I'd recommend a Squier Telecaster Classic Vibe which is within your budget 🙂. These guitars are seriously bang for buck for the money. As far as amplifiers go I'd say in some ways they do more to shape your tone than the actual guitar (of course my opinion). One of the best guitar amplifiers I ever bought was a minature Blackstar Fly 3 and I swear the tones you could get out of that small box was unreal. It retails at £60 which is double figures. thats so cool that you were so excited you made a playlist !! i did something like that too, i really want an electric guitar and i dont even have it yet but i have so many youtube tutorial links saved for my fav song
İf you do Id reccomend an epiphone les paul junior, esspecially the bj signstures. They are perfect for begginers they have one p90 or a humbucker in the bridge and a volume and a tone knob, none of that neck pickup bullshit just plug it in and rock out also the pickups used on those guitars are pretty high gain so they are perfect for more metal and punk style things
Really good for a week, but I really dont get why people go for 3 pickups like you really only need one bridge humbucker imo like maybe its cuz I play punk and dont really understand the whole love for neck and mid pickups but idk I think a bridge p90 or a humbucker is enough and ofc just a volume and tone knob,my ideal guitar would be a semi hollow 335 body without a pickguard one dirtyfingers humbucker in the bridge position and a tone and volume knob thats it but everybody has diffrent tastes I guess

@@Luna-cp1kl Insane string buzzing. I didn't even get the guitar I actually wanted as I wanted to be a responsible adult who handles her money well. As a result, I'm getting the real guitar of my dream next week and will be starting all over! I already have everything else!
@@BlowUpTheOutsideWorld So how’s everything going now???

you are making me want to play electric guitar now!!! btw playing sunflower by rex sounded so good!!!!
I got a beginners amazon brand seafoam green color strat style guitar set about 6 months ago. It's really fun! I'm a very slow learner so I'm just now figuring out how to play a full song 🤣
Ooo do you have a link for it?
@@justdayana_ as a 2 year guitar players I beg you please do not buy guitars online go to a store try it out and then buy it,you gotta feel that wood and those electronics and the nooks and crannys before you buy
@@Borax15 well Said ❤️
i remember when i got my first guitar, it was a glarry gst. i was so excited
that's a really fast progress u got there! keep it up chris!! i cant even be fast like that after a week of learning acoustic lol
I’ve been practicing with a plastic kids ukulele and recently I finally got my own legit guitar. I’m gonna try to push my journey along with you even though I’m a month late. 💘 🎸
YOU GOT SO GOOD IN JUST ONE WEEK❤
the outro is amazing and you are so good to only be playing for a week
The playing was really 👍, the second song was quiet nice although the first you might wanna use a pick or your thumb instead of your fingers and make sure to play slow and slowly start to speed it up to make sure your playing in time and playing correctly, one of my biggest regrets not doing when I first started.
my fav youtuber
Wow,i like how are you playing, so soft and chill
Im so identified with you when u said u were reluctant to get your guitar because u thought id be a 3 minute passion.
XD I'm evaluating getting mine and im making the the 2-3 month test. If I keep watching videos and having the gut to buy one withing this time....that means i totally should get it
girl got my dream guitar in the exact colour and everything, first try
Squier bullet in sonic grey this was my first electric guitar 🎸 and I love it especially for the price. Nice vlog

thats so cool that you were so excited you made a playlist !! i did something like that too, i really want an electric guitar and i dont even have it yet but i have so many youtube tutorial links saved for my fav song
Beautiful queen 👑
keep rocking my friend !!!!!!!!!!!
I started to play the guitar few years ago and now I kinda wanna move to an electronic guitar too ❤🥺
İf you do Id reccomend an epiphone les paul junior, esspecially the bj signstures.
Wow that’s really cool that you got one, you make me want one haha
heyy.. that was a nice one. Keep it up girl.. 👍 I just starting my learning on electric guitar as well, that's why I stumble on your vid. It's my second week of learning guitar btw.
WAHHHH!!! This made me want have an eg more TT Can't wait to see myself having an eg in the future, hopefully :D
Ahh that such a pretty color!!
I have a black one
Saw this video on my recommendation, video is so good it reminds me of my first electric guitar.
That squire is very pretty. Keep up the good work!
Fuck squires man juniors win
Her commentary is smooth
i didnt expect you to mention My Jinji by Sunset Rollercoaster that was a nice surprise lol good luck youre gonna have so much fun learning
This is so cool!
NAH HER ONE WEEK PROGRESS IS PROBABLY GOING TO BE MY ONE YEAR PROGRESS😭😭
omggggg i love everything u love 🥺!! Keep the good work!! Ive been wanting an electric guitar for sometime already 👀!!AND YESS OMG MY JINJIIIIIII !!! Gurl pls listen to Summer cozy rock by Orange ocean!!I think you're gonna love it!! And oh u inspired me to start crocheting too !!!❤
Hey thank u for sharing! Ive been thinking alot to buy an electric guitar for newbie! I guess Squier is one of those goods!
Good luck! Consistency is key :)
that's reallyyy good progress in a week! for your left hand, I'd say it's a bit easier if you support single finger that's pressing onto the string with the rest of your fingers to create a more stable sound
That is perfect for a 1 week progress!!!!
hermosa tu guitarra me acuerdo cuando compre la mia por primera vez 😊 excelente video ✨
