We'll find a new name for such an old game tonight
(I don't know why you don't want me)
I'll show you how long that I can go on tonight
(I don't know why you don't want me)
I don't know why you don't want me

I love this song. She has a beautiful voice. This song could never get old.
Hello Laura how are you doing hope you’re having a great time with your family may God bless you and your family
I love this video. Rosanne is beautiful
I agree 100% many memories from the 80s
I’ve always believed Rosanne Cash is the perfect package beauty and talent.
Right on!!😁😉😆
I agree
She is beautiful
Agreed! She has "sexy, bedroom eyes."💋😍👀
Yeah, I'm With You On That 💯
Real talent and still beautiful today. Never once had to expose herself or sing vulgar lyrics. A legend and true entertainer.
Real talent? Why?
@@howardrobinson4938 open your ears not you mouth and you might know
Sorry to have been short but the man was right. Did you ever s÷ her running around half naked to hock a record. No. Isherwood voice fake. No. Is her eyes pretty. Yes. Is it her song . Yes. Sorry but don't bother to reply.
My God, she is breathtaking. She looks so much like her mother. And I never ever ever get tired of her voice. Especially THIS one.
1985: Johnny's daughter chose her own path, and with then-husband Rodney Crowell made a bunch of great records through the 80's. This one topped the Country charts and, like a number of her records, also crossed into pop and adult contemporary. And yes, she looked great. Still does.
👍👍💜
My favorite song by her.
Love her voice. 💙🎈💜
Back2Basic: i was 19 at time working in music store, played this album EVERY 8 hour shift!! Touched me deep!!
Vince Gill singing back up
I’ve been listening to this single regularly for 36 years. It never gets old.
Agree 100%. One of my 10 favorite singles of 1985 - just brilliant.
yep good song
Awe so beautiful!!
Hi there
Thanks for your love and support that has brought me this far, it has been a hard time for me going through this but your love and support keeps me going and standing strong in this difficult times. I do read your heartwarming comments and I truly appreciate all you’ve done for me throughout the years.
It’s a season of love😍❤️❤️ for me and so I decided to put a smile on the faces of my fans by going through my RUclips channel and checking out on my fans, so I can get to communicate with my fans better through discussion of depth and humor listening to o and criticism of my career.💞💞🙏💖💖
This has always been one of my faves. Love to play it on guitar too, I just need backup singers...lol
What a great song. She has a killer voice and looks sensational.
Robert Dearman Well it’s no wonder considering who her dad was
She was my favorite female artist back in the day . Still listenin to her today .
I was just gonna say...who WOULDN'T want her?? She is a knockout!
She rocked that 90's look in dress and style !!!!!!!
Killer voice? I don't understand all of these comments about her "talent". There are far, far better voices to listen to. Try Eva Cassidy for one. Miley Cyrus, Madonna, Karen Carpenter, on and on. This Cash gal....I just don't hear it.
I remember the first time I heard this song. I was blown away. What a talent.
Yes, you're definitely right it must run in the family!!!
Is your profile pic Cumberland Falls?
I literally remember the first time I heard this, it was on the Austin City Limits TV show around 1985 or 1986. That was maybe 35 years ago, and it still sounds great today, it's timeless.
I love her voice and never get tired of her songs even decades later!
Amen
Blue Eyed Girl Loves Her Too.......what a voice!!
super artist of 80s
I love her!!
And not just this song, you got 7 year ache too. She didn't want to live off her dad's name, she started recording in Europe. Didn't want to be a singer at first. Glad she changed her mind.
I don't know why anyone wouldn't want her after this video - Rosanne has all the attributes that are essential for The Perfect Woman and Country Performer.
According to song writer Billy Montana, Cash was inspired to write this song when she didn’t win an award she thought she should’ve won. The subject of the song is the CMA.
VIDEO LENGTH IS 3:19. I WAS BORN ON 3-19-1962 🌹🌹🌹🙏🙏🙏 THANK YOU LORD FOR ROSANNE CASH AND HER TALENTS, AMEN 💜💜💜🌹🙏🙏🌹
Such an incredible song!! This Lady can sing!!!
This song was very well arranged, performed, and recorded by all involved.
I just want to jump back in a time machine to the 80s and have fun as a kid all over again!!
One of those songs I could play all day on loop. Love it.
The loop! I know the loop
Yes it's a very smooth song!!!
I agree
Jennifer Kellow miss this time of country music
Amen.
This song is as timeless as the air we breathe!
She is her father's daughter for sure!!! One of the most beautiful female voices ever
Vince Gill background vocals
Distinct and amazing voice... yet for years and years I didn't know it was him.
I thought it sounded very much like VG, I’m not surprised. A lot of awesome talent went into this track for sure.
It probably was Vince Gill singing the background vocals.
Ronnie Hoard Music Channel , it was he.
Cool. I like it.
How ironic she wrote this song after she lost a Grammy, recorded it and it becomes her first Grammy win.
Summertime 1985!!!!! it was the best time for pop country scene....when music it was magic...that no longer exists in our days...Unforgettable Rosanne and one of the best songs of all time
I don't know why everybody doesn't like this song it's a great song!
Ya I miss the slow singers that was less rehearse and fake
@@richardcharney1559 because they have no musical ear
Yess!!.i remember this song like yesterday.!
Summer 85 was the BEST.
Hasn’t every woman thought this? Love this song.
This song pulled me out of being sad so many times. Thanks Roseanne
*Who ever directed this video is a genius!!!*

I have to find this song . I love it . love your outfits Roseanne cash
@@careywurdinger5238 really well may be we can talk about that later thanks for your wonderful wishes and comment it's a pleasure to me. If you don't mind I will like to have a personal conversation with you to know more about your good thoughts and advise towards me as a fan of mine.
@@rosannecash1701 Hi Roseanne cash I just love your music it makes me wanna go on a road trip when hear your songs your voice is just amazing . I have one of your CD need to find more . The reason your outfit looks so great is because you don't see people anymore dressing nice these days . your so pretty and so talent . 😊
Beautiful Rosanne could never be cold and mean
This reminds me of how much I used to like country... what the hell happened?
lawyers and suits
YOU JUST FORGOT WHO YOU WAS
She is very hot
It died. That's what happened.
Yeah, what happened to the good music?
Rosanne's outfit is channeling Madonna.
She sings so good. I could listen to her sing all day. These new country female singers need to listen to her and take notes.
In this 1985 hit video, Rosanne is looking closer to *20* than the actual 30 that she was at the time. Born in 1955. 😍 Sultry, and stunning ! 🥰
She definitely has her Daddys looks and his voice and talent and she is still beautiful every time I look at Roseanne I see Johnny
She was truly beautiful
I just LOVE the 80's....she was a hottie then - and TALENTED
She’s still hot at 64
dreemsnake1 , not quite.
Ditto
This woman blows Taylor Swift to the infernal region and back !!
This song still haunts my dreams!!
Great song by a beautiful singer such a great voice thumbs up
I always saw her music as the perfect blend of country and pop without it being corny like most of the country music on the radio today. Her songs always have great lyrics and amazing production. Amazing how great her career turned out considering all she went through as a child with her mom and dad's split, and yet she found a way to pave her own path.
Country radio NEEDS to stop playing all the bro-country and add in 80s and 90s country to the mix. Songs like this will fit right in...and make the stations sound a LOT better. Rosanne is one heck of a singer-songwriter. :)
Mia Carlson county legends 97.1 out of houston, they have a app for this station
Vince Gill on background vocals
Absolutely correct. Sadly it all comes down to money and not the music like it used to be
Country needs to ban auto tune, also. Country should be left to those who actually have talent, rather than most of the stuff they are popularizing today.. talent-less lumps use country music as a launch platform to sell their auto-tuned and choreographed cheese.
Rosanne is awesome
Such a beautiful woman singing such a beautiful song that tugs at my heart every time I hear it
Bought the album ,on its release in 1985 .Every Song was amazingly ,incredibly written and produced .Roseanne voice .Triple wow
She has always been one of the best artist. Love her music!
A beautiful and inspiring song about a difficult situation that has been experienced by all of us. I've seen her in person. She has the same eagle-eyed charisma and talent as her father!
Probably the only person to win a Grammy for writing a song about not winning a Grammy.
Heard this song a long time ago and fell in LOVE ....And Roseanne is just ..... Well.... ROSANNE CASH ❤❤
Just saw Rosanne live in concert, she’s wonderful & one of the most underrated singers of all time.
Boy, wish I could find a good hearted woman like her. She's the real deal for sure.❤️👍🌹🌹😊
Those eyes are so beautiful
It’s true , her voice is silky smooth .
Flashback: In the 1980s when this song/video would be played at gay bars in San Francisco, every time the gorgeous Roseanne Cash would sing the line "I don't know why you don't want me tonight," the crowd would yell "Cuz he's gay!" or "Cuz he's got a boyfriend!". Also, her hairstyle became an iconic trend for The Lesbians. She seems like a wonderful person. It's hard to believe that I had a 29" waist then and even harder to believe I'm so old now, lol.
The Lesbians are my all-time favorite country band.
This is what REAL COUNTRY sounded like back in da day yall...2021 still jamming
Rosanne is what I call a beautiful woman! I collected her CDs from the 1980s. Remember her song "Tennessee Flat Top Box"? That is a great one! It is great that she is still with us at the age of 67. I wish she had won more awards even though she nominated for a bunch. Thanks Rosanne, you bring me joy!
63 years old and I love this so much!
Listening to these (I think from "Seven Year Ache") for the first time in years. Knocked out, once again. Rosanne, girl...you're an awesome talent. A superb musician. And BREATHTAKINGLY BEAUTIFUL. What a babe ! If I knew how to find you, I'd drive to Nashville and throw myself at your feet Hold on, I'm comin'.
I started listening to her in the mid-1980s. I've seen her live twice. That's Vince Gill doing back-up vocals right before he became famous
Hey Elizabeth...
Thanks so much for been a fan. I so much appreciate you for liking my page. How long have you been a fan?
Vince was actually in Pure Prairie League in the 70’s
I remember the first time I heard this song over 30 years ago. I was involved with a woman 10 years older than me at that time who just wouldn’t commit long term. Eventually we broke up. Really loved her and this song still tears me apart inside. She is such a great talent like her dad
She was,and still is smoking hot!!!
Amen brother!
This is the song that got me hooked! I love Rosanne's voice!
@Rosann Cash p
Poser can't even spell Rosanne correctly
She is absolutely gorgeous and wonderfully talented ❤️

@@rosannecash1701 you are beautiful just like your mother, Vivian! She was such a class act and you are a spitting image of her every move, look, and class!
I know the Rhythm and Romance album was not easy to record, but I have loved it for decades. I have the autographed CD on my wall. Thank you, Rosanne!
😍 she's beautiful.
Country just isn’t like it used to be. Rosanne Cash is timeless.
I met Johnny Cash once no one was around just him and me and he walked up to me and I’m thinking to myself what do Ask Johnny Cash had no idea so all I could think of was how is Roseanne doing she never calls me back he got a good laugh out of that
She has never received the recognition that she deserves.....
Jesus Christ she's beautiful! Still is to this day!
Such a classic with so many memories! Thank you Rosanne.
She's always been the voice since her Dad for country music, much respect many thanks 👍
Hey mary😊😊😊
This song jerks my heart strings, it's based on her daddy, " I don't know why you don't want me...
..Not *sure* about that..... 🤔
I miss you. I hope you had a good day and I keep remembering more through out the day today. Some good some bad. ❤️🥰🙏
Vince Gill on backup vocals
Sweet Pea.
Is it really?? Awesome!!
Oh yeah!
His voice is unmistakable (and gorgeous).
Vince Gill, killing it.... 👍
I WANT THEM EYES!! GORGEOUS- JOHNNY'S GIRL 💘
He'll yeh lol
Fantastic !!!!!!!!
She’s so cute here & damn can this girl sing a country song!
I absolutely love this song. I could listen to it over and over all day.
Me too!
I do just it repeat
Why any guy would not want this beauty is a total mystery to me. She's gorgeous and a fantastic singer.
Because someone told him she was cold and mean. It's all right there in the song.
@@ardalla535 that just proves people are basically idiots.....
Because the guy has better taste. Plus, he does want to put up with her high maintenance and self centered crap. Just another broad who is common at best.
I love this song and Roseanne's voice
🔥❤ She's so beautiful🌷
Rosanne cash, certainly is a geogeous woman, love ya rosanne
Such talent! I'm not sure about anything else but her beauty comes from her Mother.
Yes. Vivian Riberto Cash. 🙂 ..and a bit of that spooky, devilish "sneer" from her proud papa Johnny. 😏
Beautiful voice. Beautiful woman!
Yup
I’m still a fan
Pink Bedroom is still one of my favorite albums. How lucky can one get?
I got it autographed
And had the incredible luck
To meet such amazing talent.
Thank You
Roseanne
For such beautiful music.
Legend is she wrote this after back to back losses at the Grammy Awards in the early 80s, with the irony being, this song won her first Grammy in 1985. She now has 16 total nominations and four wins, her most recent for 2020’s Crossing to Jerusalem.
She's so pretty, can write and sing.
In Loving Memory of Vivian Liberto Cash. RIP❤✨❤
thanks for the love and support
Great song!!! Vince Gill on background vocals
An absolute masterpiece! I've not heard it in a while but woke up with it in my head the other day and had to find it. Shes so much prettier than Jhonny Cash!
Listening in 2023. Love her music! Such a incredible song. She has always veen one of the best artist. Thanks Roseanne. Beauty and voice after Johnny Cash..
Sounds as good today as it did in the '80s. The best of "crossover" music back then.
With Roseanne the hit's just keep on coming!!! Nothing better than this ladies music!!! Love and thanks Roseanne for this beautiful song!!!
what a voice, what a face, a real talent.
She is just a CASH. It is family talent . /CD
I just rediscovered this song and I've been listening to it over and over and over again.
Rosaenne is a fabulous singer, songwriter. Love it.
Most gracious lady alive, and I want her.
Just timeless. This sounds as perfect as it did in the 80s.
I saw Willie Nelson and 1985 and David Allen Cole was supposed to open forum in Los Angeles a couple weeks before the show for whatever reason David Allan Coe wasn’t going to be on the bill it was gonna be Rosanne Cash she was fucking awesome
This brings me back to my teenage years in high school! I always thought Rosanne Cash had such an amazing voice, and just look so incredible. She was really in my mind like a pop singer with her music in some respects, and on this song. It definitely was contemporary version of country before it was popular.
Johnny and June are looking and proud of her.
Her momma was actually Vivian Riberto Cash. 🤓 FACTS. 💸
Love me some Rosanne Cash!
When I first heard her, I thought here we go with another kid making a name on off of their daddy's reputation. That changed as I listened. Rosanne's songs endure with their melody, message, and precision. I still miss someone.
one of the best of my Favs From Rosanne!opens the heart upp! opens love uppp ina far much more heartless world!Always thankful for Throw back songs!miss these old days!lol the compassion of all people back then!lol
It is hard to believe that so much time has passed in such a short period.
I want you Rosanne Cash, then and now, beautiful, wishing you a blessed one always
What a great song.. somehow I missed this one in the 80's. I was aware of Great country music in the 80's but didn't appreciate it. Hanging out with little Jimmy Dickens and not even knowing he was a legend. Interrupting Ronnie Milsap's Breakfast to get him to sign a Greatest hits Album. ( I would never do that now) I had booked him 5 suites... it wasn't until the 90,'s that I went back to country..well better late than never .Rosanne 's Back story on this song and The Grammy are awesome! I have played this song 6 times today alone
thanks for the love and support
