Using a 4K signal should improve my results while focus pulling. Let's look at how Hollyland's Mars 4K performs getting rid of wires, and then look at the M1 transmitter/receiver monitor!

You can minimize delay from hdmi from S1H if you turn off audio transmission over hdmi
I have the same wireless system. And yeah you're right HDMI adds quite a bit of lag. I haven't tried SDI yet but that should help especially if you're receiver is also going SDI. Hollyland also has a 7" version of this monitor too. probably would work better for anamorphic with a 7".
You plugged that d-tap cable into output slot :D
whooops! hahahahaha. Rushing the b-roll has consequences. Lesson learned! :P
Hello. is it you doing voice over on this channel? Animal Insider sounds the same LOL.
Great video about this Hollyland product by the way, as always!
Yep, that's my voice all the time! hahahha. :)
@@AnamorphicOnABudget 😁😁😁 your voice is unique!!! 👏🏻👏🏻
would you say the image quality coming from the receiver is good enough to use as a roaming camera feed coming into a switcher? does it look pixelated at all?
Can you run multiple wireless signals into this monitor. So a director can see all the cameras?
Not that I am aware. :(
interesting video. Could you recommend a transmitter without much latency to do follow focus?
I've been doing pretty okay with the Accsoon Cineview. I know Vaxis has some shorter latency models, but I don't have the budget or need for them yet.
It is a shame there is no 1,8x on the M1, and also no scale&crop ! It is extremely important to have that when shooting with "non anamorphic cameras" like the sonys (2x anamorphic on a 16/9 image absolutely needs scale and crop monitoring).
Oh BTW tito here is one of my first movie made for a client shot on anamorphic (greatjoy set) : ruclips.net/video/fqIpnvH2yHc/видео.html
A friend tell me please, I know the question is stupid, but if I shoot at full frame with an open gate 3; 2 and I want to keep the space dimension 50mmFF (whatever the distance between objects is as I see it). But at the same time get a comfortable field of view angle of 28mm FF. How much compression should an anamorphic lens have? And the same question 4/3 open gates?
You mean 50 vertical and 28 horizontale? Or the feel of a 50 with a wide view of 28?
For the second case, definitly a 1.8 (just divide 50/28)
For the first one, a bit of math. If it's 50 in height, it's 50/(3/2) so 34 on width, for a 28 you'd need only a x1.33
But i think you mean the first one and the answer is 1.8 on ff, 2x on 4/3
@@lucasvivante8988 I think you are right, that is, an anamorph to be seen as a person (for this, I came up with anamorphs). What would the distance between the objects be correct as at 50mm FF, but the viewing angle as I see it with my eyes is 28
Anyone know if the Mars M1 can transmit/receive to an Hollyland Mars 400S?
Mars 300 Pro, Mars 400s Pro, Mars 4K
What was battery life on the M1 with the NPF970 size battery while transmitting or receiving in your experience? Thanks!
I don't have any NPF970, and I didn't run the 750 all the way to the end to time it! Some other reviews have that info though!
does it drop out randomly from time to time like the last hollyland transmitters?
I’ve found my Hollyland (pro/sdi model) to actually be way more reliable/stable than far more expensive Teradeks
@@antonykeane5586 i experienced these random dropouts in like 5 meters range every 10 or so minutes and lasting for about 15 seconds with the mars m1 and mars 400s pro combo
I haven't experienced any drops yet, just over a month of regular use.
Why not use a EVF then?
