iPhone user here but that Vivo looks much better. Even in video 🤯
At 6:40 it's like smartphone vs professional camera, the Vivo is leagues ahead in 90% of the time

The Vivo is so good besides the front facing camera. I wish more people had access to this phone.

You’d notice the difference in quality more, especially in the zooms.

Damn that was a complete massacre. The engineers at vivo and zeiss have done a truly unbelievable job on the X100U cameras. The Vivo images have a true DSLR like quality, like the images were taken with an actual camera, makes some of the iphones flat over sharpened shots look super amateur.

The x100 is so good , I really wish vivo made a smaller/compact variant

Even the video quality is really good from vivo and the depth of field on the telephoto lens is amazing.I'm looking forward to the night shots. But no rush.Really good work. This year the Vivo is the strongest camera overall for most.It's sad that the iPhone takes such flat photos as standard...it doesn't look that exciting when you compare it.

On a hardware level, Vivo is definitely far ahead, and this video proves it. Huge fan, btw! Probably the only channel out here really diving into this level of depth
It would be interesting to see a social media comparison too like Instagram stories, reels, and such. Even with how far Vivo's or any android hardware are, software limitations can hold it back, especially compared to how well-optimized Instagram and other apps are on the iphone. Maybe also include a comparison with Vivo using Instander, which supposedly allows for higher res uploads

Instagram compresses stories a lot on Android :( and they really look terrible, which is why I think the idea of an Android phone camera is bad came from. Have a look at Mrwhosetheboss's comparison of the 16 Pro Max vs. S24 Ultra at 6:37

From what I understood, you considered the Xiaomi 14 Ultra to be the best.
I’m lucky to have two phones, one for personal use and one for work.
I have the iPhone 15 Pro Max and the Vivo X100 Pro, and I use the Vivo more often for photography, while the iPhone is for video.
I’m especially excited to see the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, and I was also happy to hear that the Oppo Find X8 Ultra will have a global version.
ColorOS is unbeatable, and Oppo’s photos are also excellent with larger sensors than the iPhone.
In your opinion, is the Vivo far ahead of the iPhone, or not that much?
@@alexdenton6586 so xiaomi versus vivo really depends on the style of photography i am planning to do, if i need a lot of character Xoaomi, if i need more "clear" images" i would say Vivo.

Well, Vivo Ultrais 1st place in terms of photography atm. I watched many phone battles and Vivo Ultra is always the best
I never use the portrait mode on my Vivo the 3.7x lens gives me such a good depth of field and doesn't soften faces like when you switch to the portrait mode

vivo x100 ultra swallowed the iPhone's apple in one go. I have been using x100 ultra for 3 months. I had a white x100 ultra, unfortunately it fell from the balcony and broke into pieces. I am now using titanium color x100 ultra. It's a great device. I'm sure vivo engineers are working hard on the x200 ultra series as well. :)

I can easily afford to buy iphone 16 pro max 1 TB. But NO. I have already ordered VIVO x100 ultra 1 TB and it is arriving in a week time. AM I NUTS? No android auto, no global version, curved screen, altogether new operating system. But still i m willing to take the plunge. All because of that big ass sensor on main and tele lens.
There’s no doubt that Vivo smashes iphone completely in photography. But you should be shocked to hear the video capabilities. 4k 120 fps in both main and tele lens with good dynamic range, 4k Timelapse main and tele, 8k video recording with that big sensor is not a gimmick, 960 fps at 720p is acceptable, Dolby HDR 4k 60 fps, etc.. Does iphone have any of this? Yes Apple log is a game changer. But lets be honest given the size of the files it’s not practical all the times and it still uses a shitty small sensor so no depth of field as desired. Man i wanted to stick to iphone but it has become downright boring now.
But i love my M1 Macbook pro 14 inch. It’s unbeatable. 😊

why in portrait mode segment all are weak shots and very soft on both?
I just watched a 33 minutes video comparing two phones I have absolutely zero interest in 😂 You're welcome! ;P
That being said, I still prefer the colour science of the iPhone overall and the HDR in a few photos, namely those indoors. Vivo makes the photos look a bit too muddy and dark. The exception being the photos at 17:06. At least until you reach the Ultra-wide cameras where the iPhone seems to switch personalities with the Vivo.
But the Vivo absolutely destroys the fruit phone in the macro shots. And it also seems Vivo is better at capturing moving objects by using faster shutter speeds, as seem on 17:56.
Now, if Samsung was still run by competent people instead of that Apple-copycat CEO, they'd pick these two, take the best of each of them, add in some things from Xiaomi's flagship, and produce a camera worthy of the Galaxy branding attached to their phones.

Vivo looked better overall. However I think if you adjust the default photographic styles and tones on the iPhone you can get comparable shots from the iPhone (which by default is over exposed and too aggressive in hdr)
@@h3yn0w main sensor sure, but the noise and balance with the ultra wide i don't seeing fixed unless you use raw and then edit the shots and try to remove the sharpening and noise.
I thought vivo x100 had much oversharpening now watching iphone 16. Omg.

In almost all situations and scenarios for taking photos and videos, day or night, Vivo is better than iPhone.

I now understand what you meant by over sharpening on the iphone. I didn't notice it until in this comparison and clearly no details whatsoever on the iphone. Its over sharpening + noise, thats what apple calls details. Thats juz sad

@@DreamCatcher101-6 i mean you can make it a really high resolution, use the high resolution mode, then look at the pixels this will give you a good indication about to sleep so cannot look 😅

As much as I like my 14U, I still prefer my X100U for photos.
For video, I prefer my 16P and 1 VI, but for different purposes.
My 16P is still my every day phone for everything. My 14U, S24U and 1 VI mostly stay at home.
I mostly have my iPhone and Vivo with me.

I wish we had phones that were better at videography overall than iPhones, androids are nearly always slightly behind iPhones in terms of videography, with only Xiaomi being better at times but lacking in consistency.

The Oppo Findx 7 Ultra is. Stop regurgitating the narrative that Iphone is better than Android in videos. Yes, 5 years ago, perhaos. Since then Android has closed the gap to where the video difference is minimal and sometimes even better than the iphone video in the case of the Oppo and the Vivo. Stop living in the past. What's more important in most low light cases though? Getting the shot with the iPhone or having to mess with settings with the Vivo and missing the shot.
