- Here's my piano cover of my favourite song from the new ABBA Voyage album, Ode to Freedom. There's no sheet music, just my improvised arrangement of this piece from the new album. I love the changing time signatures in the second half of each verse. Hope you enjoy my version, and the original song when you hear it!

Ode to Freedom is my favourite song on the record, and a beautiful and appropriate swansong for them.
I’m sure we all know that this album is ABBAs last one and I think that this song is not just a great end of the album, but very touching and emotional goodbye. Thank you for the music💙

It's like they have put the essence "Thank you for the music" "The way old friends do" "I let the music speak" and "The day before you came" and "Anthem" in this one song and just let it flow. I am blown away. I guess that is why you have chosen this one as well. Beautifully played. Remarkable so shortly after the release.

And a constant change between 4/4 and 3/4
I imagine the Ode to Freedom being sung by all the concertgoers in the new arena in London.

Every time I hear this song I fall in tears.

Is someone here who could help me conceptualize the odd rhythm changes happening periodically in the song? Thank you.
I think the first 2 lines are in 4/4, then there's a bar of 3/4 on the word "dignity". Back to 4/4 for "I would like to think that...", then 3/4 for the next few bars, up to "in grand and", and back to 4/4 for "lofty language, odes to freedom often go unheard". This may be wrong, but that's how I've understood it and it seems to work.
How did you get to know what this was its not released til Friday?? Any more songs? .lol...
