UPDATE: I’ve been blown away by the response to my post below. Thank you to everyone for their comments and the time taken to describe the new music. Having read the responses it’s really helped me and painted a picture of the new music 😊. The dream would be future Lyric videos with highlighted lyrics that vibrate in time with the music, as well as the written music underneath. Just like that school tv programme Music Time when I was little 😂 Enjoy the music and thank you again ❤️ x I’m now deaf and can no longer listen to music. It’s been the hardest part of coming to terms with my deafness over the last twenty years. I always comforted myself by saying said at least I’d heard all of ABBAs music. My heart sank when I saw the news yesterday but am so happy for those who can hear it too. This video has helped give a lyrical flavour, thank you. If any ABBA fans out there can describe their new songs in comparison to their previous music I’d appreciate it. Thank you. Enjoy the music everyone x
During the verse I'm hearing a lot of 80's synth sounds kind of like "One of Us". But then leading up to the chorus there's a lot of orchestral parts and disco vibe, I especially recognize some piano jingle from Dancing Queen. Their vocals are a bit aged at certain points but holds up really well when sung by both together, instantly recognizable as the Abba sound.
They sound older, so the vocals sounds diffrent but still good. I would say this perticular song is not as good as the old stuff, but still not bad. I enjoyed it. What stood out a bit in this song is a little darker synth bass sound in the background that I liked. Sorry about your ears...its one of my greatest fears to lose my hearing.
Love to you, hopefully you can immerse yourself with the intensity of your many happy ABBA memories from the past and enjoy knowing new generations can share your experiences of discovering ABBA❤️
The way "I Still Have Faith In You" is a song about their personal journey to deciding to reunite as a group and "Don't Shut Me Down" is a message to the audience to have an open mind and remember that they're not the same people they were 40 years ago... this is a BRILLIANT comeback. It's emotional and fun and says loudly *yeah we've still got it*. I'm so excited to hear more of what they have in store
I hope my comment doesn't offend anyone but. When I listened to the song it seems to me long gaps where words should be I can't give you an example would take too long. That's just my opinion if my comments do offend I will delete it.
@@denplummer7191 I think it is just a byproduct of music writing of their era. Modern music tends to cram a lot of lyrics in 3min. They are from a time when the instrumental is doing most of the work and songs reach 4-5min.
I’m literally in tears, realising how lucky we all are to have made it through COVID to experience this truly honourable moment. Also, paying my deepest respects to those who didn’t make it and I know would have wanted to.
They were joking that there's an old saying in the music industry that you can't leave more than 40 years between Albums, so they had to make one or else!
It's like going back 40 years, it's like being a teenager again......those magical days of the mid-late 70s when ABBA's music was everywhere you went. Voyage was just an amazing experience, truly. I knew it might be emotional, well it sure was!!
Hello! Huge ABBA fan here! I covered this song! It would mean so much if you watch and leave your opinion! ruclips.net/video/AzcasH0OQ1s/видео.html ♡♡♡
Just a notion has just been released too! The ABBA official channel needs to stop limiting comments on non music videos as this limits views/people finding the music!
This is probably best comeback ever, sensible, and fully continuing on where the group left it. Timing and involving technology...super smart. Reminder that art, skill and quality is timeless. Love it.
Just listened to a Swedish music critic commenting on the live press event from Sep 2nd. She has a hard time now, struggling with her ego. She said: It's the fan's job to love this, and mine not to. Poor soul!
@@paullehmor982 There is your problem for the start; Like the Beatles, Abba had to produce something impossible to be appreciated by all the critics - it was, and is, forever impossible to do anything musically for such an iconic band that will be seen as ABBA best post 1983. Nostalgia is too great!
My father is hard like stone, but when he did hear the new ABBA songs he started to cry in the car. He got so nostalgic and emotional... I rest my case, its a great song
Oh my God, what have you done, Abba? This is not just a new song, this is an attack on my soul. It touches me, makes me cry and laugh at the same time, because you are back. Abba, you are unique, incomparable! "Don't shut me down" is an anthem! The song goes better and better and better every time I hear it ...
Tears of joy. These are not just songs. They are the rebirth of hopefulness, the immersion into a past thought long lost, and for the younger generations, the inclusion into an experience shared only virtually. Nostalgia, hope, but for once not in vain. Time regained.
Fué imposible olvidarlos! Maravillosos!
I disagree, with great respect to you. May I ask what exactly is better? The voices are less technically secure, the songs are mediocre, and the production exactly like 1981! It's slightly weird - almost like a museum piece. I think they should have aimed for a newer sound.
How does this band maintain such a distinctive.....them-ness? This song is so ABBA and already timeless it's like they float above time and space and are just....them. just ABBA.
Great songwriters/singers do not need to change their style in order to be good and stay trendy. That's what apparently every musician has forgotten nowadays.
I played this to my Mum 2 years ago as she lay in hospital. Life long fan as I am. My aim was to bring a little joy into her Covid restricted stay. The first part of the song made her cry. The lyrics more poignant than either of us realised. Several weeks later she passed but l'm so glad I got to share this moment with her. We held one another and I won't ever forget that moment. Melancholic but joyous ABBA. Lyrically nothing comes close. Still brings tears to my eyes. ABBA Voyage on Saturday with my Dad and niece. Wish she was there to share the moment This for me is Abba at their finest. 50 years on. Incredible they can still put out an instant classic. For you Mum 🪽😘
Wow, it's like we have a very similar story. My grandma unfortunately was diagnosed with cancer. Unfortunately i can't really listen to this song without sheding some tears
The greatest comeback ever. No group has ever returned with such outstanding material; and to do that so calmly with the back-catalogue Abba have takes true belief and timeless talent. Yes, thank God, you still have it in you.....thank you for the music, Abba.
i think much of this experience is thanks to Benny, who has worked with live music the whole time (after Chess and those musicals) in his own band (BAO) during the years, so he totally got the music and rythm there.. ;)

ABBA have written a love letter to the fans after 40 years in this song. Everything comes flooding back. I am in tears with the beaury of the lyrics and sentiments of this song.
I love how they didn't change the formula when creating new songs much if at all, they know exactly what makes a song...an Abba song. It has their original soul and feel and that's why it's loved so much.
Abba is like medicine for the soul... that heals people, generations...they are true, authentic and unique! I am very glad to see them returning back to the fans with new material. I am also glad that at 33 yo, I am given the chance to choose Abba for NEW music releases, because they represent without doubt the TRUE MUSIC heroes, instead of the commercial nonsense widely spread today. Being a singer myself, I've always felt Abba is a worthy inspiration to anyone that seeks making true music - they are the best ! That's why I have also sung and posted some Abba tribute covers myself, on my RUclips channel. Thank you Abba for blessing the world with joy in those troubled times! We love you :) Welcome back, our beloved Super Troupers!!!! We missed you so, though from our hearts....you never left!!!! You never can! Abba will live Forever!!!!! Lots of health to all Abba members and staff! This new project is so amazing!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

It’s beautiful - and not just because they made history, but because their sound is eternal. You can recognize their sound between millions of others. Abba is forever. ♥️
I'm 73, an ABBA fan since my 20's, the world is a mess, but with this one song ABBA has given me something I can literally dance to till the end of my days.
Perfect harmonies benny piano playing. Bjorn lyrics amazing. Simply the best band in the world and they always will be. There is no one who compares to them
This is pure ABBA, now I am teenager again, not terminally ill old man, I feel good, tears in my eyes. My perhaps last summer when I can still enjoy life had a perfect ending with this. Thank you ABBA for the music.
thanks for sharing your emotions and your love for ABBA . enjoy their music we all do i think after such a long period .. Can’t wait listen to the other 8 new songs …
Never expected to be standing in my kitchen in the 21st Century singing along to the latest ABBA songs. I feel like a teenager again and I’m in my 60s. Thankyou for the Music again! This is a masterpiece ABBA
So many musicians in their 70’s make weak parodies of their earlier hits. This is almost unique. A mature sound, a gift for melody, intelligent and mature lyrics, it’s a blueprint for how musicians in their twilight years can still create relevant music.
I only heard this song for the first time at Abba Voyage concert and it really hit a inner part of me and I just kept crying. I don't know what it is about this song but it really moves me. My only criticism is that I wish it was longer. I want to thank Abba for 40 years of incredible awesome music. Your songs are timeless and will live on forever. X
Happened to me too! I think it's because, like I Still Have Faith In You, this song was recorded around the time of planning of the Voyage concert, so this is literally an expression of how the members feel about the whole ordeal, but in musical form. Thus, it just hits too close to home, almost like this is the one real moment in the concert and this is actually ABBA in front of us (and strangely, it looked the most real out of all the songs for me). And the fact that Agnetha, arguably the face of ABBA, did her monologue (which was the last one out of the four) before this song was pretty special too.

What can I say... I moved to Sweden because of ABBA, I lived there for ten years and learned Swedish. I am now a professional translator from Swedish to Spanish, so I owe them not only the happy times I have spent listening to their music, but also ten wonderful years in Sweden and now, back in Spain, my profession. Such a wonderful present to all your fans! ABBA, thank you for your music!
This is exactly what the whole world needs right now, a huge injection of happiness and positivity! An enormous "thank you for the music" goes to Abba, for once again bringing joy to our lives, especially during these challenging times when we need it most. Huge love to these four wonderful people xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

@@Wolf-qz2ou you're right. the whole avatar thing and this song is exclusively transhumanism. Getting old is part of being human, unfortunately abba are also part of the agenda.
Have you noticed this song has just two choruses? Two choruses in almost 4 minutes. That's it. ABBA's proving that you don't need to pound a musical motif 55 times per minute to make a song catchy and downright EPIC. 40 years after their prime, ABBA is still taking us to school.
ABBA are legends. I'm a metal head and I'm excited to hear the album. ABBA are some of my earliest memories. Just hearing them again is magic. And Thier songs are always well thought out. Little touches here and there.
EPIC FAIL u mean they didn’t make it. I’m fan from yrs ago but this song and the other are poorly written songs they sound exactly the same yes and that’s good maybe the next songs released will be better than these two offerings 🇨🇦👏🏻
I'm sitting in front of my computer crying, I never thought that this day would come. ABBA's music has been a part of my life since 1976. I still remember sitting in the rain watching them live in Sydney in 1977 - I even got half a day off school so I could get there on time. Their music has always been with me. Songs like slipping through my fingers when my kids (and now grandkids) started school, Dancing queen that my mother played for me every time she saw me dance (and she wanted it played at her funeral), Agnetha's "I stand alone" when my marriage broke down .... so much love for them. And so today, I proudly sit here and cry as an ABBA fan to hear this amazing new music. I cannot wait for the rest of the album
I keep crying but with joy, but it is something that happens to everyone, it is a year of many losses, and it is this moment when they resurface with their music that seems to heal the soul. They made it ...
I've missed that sound, that blend of voices, those heart breaking strings, the absolute melancholy of those lyrics. It's like a part 2 to "One Of Us" but also a look into the 21st century ABBAtars and what looks to be an amazing concert. Can this really be happening? After so much time, and so much cultural filler, have real songs returned?
My dad used to tell me ABBA was everything in the 70s and the craze they had was something unbelievable and always said … your not gonna experience the excitement of them coming out and surprising everyone with new music anymore they not together but when they did .. nothing can go wrong ….. and now today I’m 37 and I broke down cuz he is not alive anymore and I experienced what he experience at those times even my mom …. 😭 I wish dad was alive for this.
I know how you feel. My dad played ABBA’s vinyl records on his vinyl record player/stereo system. It was their music that got me out of bed as a young kid. My father passed away 15 years ago and he influenced my taste in music.
I'm pretty sure your dad is listening too, there in heaven, this music made for angels..i grew up with ABBA,and now ,I'm 57 and I'm so happy to hear and listen their songs...
Nothing has changed. ABBA is incomparable. They're all fantastic . Agnetha and Frida's voice are so captivating. No words to say. They're all good regardless of their ages now.

This song really sounds like a hit parade of all the ingredients of their pop songs from 1972-1982; a continuation of where they paused and 39 years later un-paused and fast-forwarded to 2021… So; yeah - I still have faith in you! Thank you for the music!
Absolutely. Please check out my cover. I did my best and I hope you enjoy. ruclips.net/video/AzcasH0OQ1s/видео.html WELCOME BACK ABBA! YOU CAME TO SAVE THE MUSIC INDUSTRY ❤️🎶
A 58 year old bloke here and these song have brought tears to my eyes. It's like meeting up with a long lost friend and discovering that age has not diminished them but they have flourished. The two songs are wonderful and especially "Don't shut me down". Can't wait to hear the rest of the album, if these tracks are anything to go by there are going to lots of very happy people out there.
I am a 46 year old man, frowning like all Russians 😁, and I have exactly the same feelings from this song as you do. It’s like I’m back in my childhood, where my parents are young, I’m 5 years old and I’m dancing to Abba’s record. I'm crying
And here's a bloke who's just turned 60 last week. And yes, I could not have said it better than Mark Lewis. Goose bumps, tears, remembering Agnetha shaking my hand after a concert at the tender age of 12. Didn't want to wash it for weeks ❤️❤️❤️! So great to have them back and so great they evolved and dare to do something new yet still being ABBA. ❤️❤️❤️
Abba, for me personally, were more than pop icons. Like the Beatles, they represented the hopes and dreams of a certain generation. Now, here they are again 40 years later; Benny Andersson, 74, Anni-Frid Lyngstad, 75, Agnetha Fältskog, 71, and Björn Ulvaeus, 76, with a new album and a legion of fans holding their breath in anticipation. What an absolute joy to hear them sing again, but this time with a twist and some rather clever Abbatars.
I've been around for a long time now, and I thought Abba could not possiblity sing to the standard of over 40 yr's ago, then they release a new album that's mind blowing. That's their pension sorted.
I think that, after these 39 years, Benny, Björn, Agnetha and Frida have finally understood that they are an immense part of the history of music. I want to believe that, by accepting that responsibility and acting with their well known humility, they know deep down that they owe humanity one more gift. It is not a matter of money. I'm 56. Since 1974 I have experienced the release of all their singles and albums with great excitement, and I could never imagine ABBA releasing another after 'The Visitors', which marked the end of an era. Having listened to two new songs, it wouldn't be fair to have an opinion of the new album, though it already sounds wonderful. It may not be an ABBA reunion the way people wish, but the only idea of enjoying a new album is a blessing. I don't think there is a single week in my life that I have not listened to their music, which has proven to be timeless and beyond all trends. Thanks once again for the music, ABBA!
Shameful that this didn’t garner a Grammy award this year. It’s a glorious song; a message to “keep an open mind; and a master class in the craft of pop music. This is one of ABBA’s greatest songs, yet still no recognition for ABBA from the Grammys.
I’m 18, when I was little my grandma and I would dance in the living room to Dancing Queen. I can’t believe this new song is out. I never thought I would hear a new song from ABBA. ❤️❤️😁
And just like that - REAL music comes rushing back into the world. I feel sorry for any recording artist who dares to put out an album the same day that ABBA does on November 5th. The world will be busy enjoying their "Voyage". Welcome back, ABBA.
From what I know, being in the music business, many artists are scrambling to move their release dates as we speak. Even pressing plants are scrambling to press ABBA's vinyl records, since vinyl is not as prevalent. Many are taken by surprise as this has been one of the best kept secrets of 2021. But labels late their albums, so not as secret as one would think. It will definitely be fun to watch. On another topic.....I would not say the words 'Just Like That' around ABBA or ABBA fans. That is a can of worms best left unopen. LOL. 😂
This song is absolutely beautiful. Even after 40 years you can tell it’s ABBA. They kept the same style and that’s amazing! As a 35 year old woman I grew up with Abba due to having older parents so for my generation to see them it’s absolutely wonderful 💜
I'm 35. I know Abba since I was 13 and that was the love at first sight, as they say;) So glad that They decided to come back with some new, fresh "meat" Their Voices are so hmm sharp, so bright, it feels like this song was made in '70s , when They were at the top of Their fame. Just wonderful. Thank You, Abba.
This song brings me some 30 years back… an old library, my mum singing and humming ABBA song while drawing an old architectal project… we kids dancing and lauging next to her and her eyes full of hope and happiness. We grew up with ABBA songs in ourhome, in what was then communist Yugoslavia, and ABBA was a window to the glittering, shiny world. Things changed during years, first the country disappeared, then the parents died, one by one, and all of the past, together with ABBA, was hidden somewhere deep in the corridors of my mind. And then this song triggers cognitive environment, thoughts and memories and the tears start rolling… and mum’s smile reappears, all sounds and fragrances of old library reappear and tears start rolling again…. thank you for bringing back all these memories back and I only wish mum was still here to grace us with her smile and ABBA hummmm🥰
That is beautiful I can imagine the Goodness of your mother I can feel it in your words of her She would be proud of you Empires rise and fall Countries come and go We lose those we love But then amazingly against the Odds ABBA are here again We have a Saying in Australia You cannot keep a Good thing Down Turns out Its true
Your mun certainly is with you and loved the way you all got connected again and she is alive in another world and you are a great lovely human being. These tears are from happiness and can't imagine all the joy that is so near of you. Keep having faith, still have faith because nothing is gone.
Even when it was totally unfashionable to love ABBA, I wouldn’t give a damn to those who were laughing at me for really loving their music. As a musician myself I was amazed by their incredible talent in songwriting and singing. Time going by prove that their sounds and melodies were timeless and masterpieces. And now that… what a come back ! Incredible. Respect to ABBA for providing the soundtrack of tens of millions people’s life.
I had a coat with ABBA on my back and everybody at school was making fun of me......I didn't care because you see. Quality music will live for everrrrr
I'm only from 2001 and have LOVED Abba my whole life, so sorry if i don't understand, but when was it unfashionable to love Abba? Their talent is immeasurable.
It would have been more amazing if they had updated their sound a bit instead of imitating a 1980 record. They used to update their sound often in their career. Why not now? I find it difficult to understand why they wanted such a dated sound. I am not a Madonna fan, but she at least updates her sound often rather than just being an 80s nostalgia singer.
I like the older, mature, experienced voices on this single. While the virtual "Abba-tars" will keep them forever young, there's a warmth to these older voices that I'm grateful ABBA chose not to digitally de-age.
ABBA writing music history again. I expected it to be good, but this is truly unbelievable. Sounds exactly like at the peak of their success. What a comeback!!! 😱❤️🎉
Totally agree. I'm stunned just how much they still sound like the Abba we all loved back in the 70's/80's. Fantastic, and thoroughly made up to hear them back
I wanted to jump up and down with glee when I first heard it. Agnetha still rocks at 70. I sent song to my family after I heard it. I'm still blown away. Thank you for the gift of Abba.
Listened to two of the new songs on Radio 2 this morning and found myself fighting back tears as I drove to work. I can't explain why but somehow it felt like I was back in my childhood for those few minutes and it felt so good. Their sound is unmistakable and they have managed that rare thing of creating 2021 music with that magical ABBA sound.
Aber war schon in meiner Jugend super und sie sind immer noch super ihre Songs sind einfach einzigartig und berühren unsere unsere Herzen❤ Axel m Oeding
Many critics were dismissing ABBA as a pop music factory but they could never change that ABBA had some out of this World melodies ever recorded. The singing was always great and the songs brought joy and happiness to billions of people in the world .To me ABBA is one the biggest groups in the World and always will be.So Thank you for your music ABBA,you are the best.
@@matreen427 They have some prog-songs as well. Perfect song-writing formulas, fantastic singing, great musicianship, and excellent production, and mixing.
Fantastic song by this legendary band. It's sad however that it takes these 70+'ers to show the youngsters how a real pop song is made. Because let's face it, pop music with great melodies died many years ago. It took Abba for bringing it back.
I can’t stop smiling every time I hear this. I haven’t smiled like this since this damn pandemic started. Thank you ABBA for making the sun shine again in our lives.
worse for me since I shed tears of joy every time I listen, especially the last lines get me every time. But ABBA kickstarted my music journey 20 years ago and I wouldn't accomplish many wonderful things if it wasn't for them back when I was 10yo.
My mother died 2 years ago and she was such a big Abba fan. She went to her grave with Abba. And I think she would be the happiest person in the world right now! I am the happiest person in the world for her!
Tears every time I hear this…even more tears when I realize that I am not alone. Millions of us on this lonely earth, isolated in some way…and then these beautiful, joyful and perfect songs appear. So many of us needed this, and we didn’t realize how much it was needed until it was given to us. Thank you for returning the magic and music…we still believe in you.
And suddenly this 52 year old man is 12 again and I still have my life ahead and the comfort of my parents to love and protect me. Now they're long gone but I have these tunes bringing me right back. No wonder you, I and so many others listen with tears running down our faces

I like the lyrics “ And now you see another me, I’m not the one you knew, I’m now and then combined, and I’m asking you to have an open mind, and I’m not the same this time around, Don’t shut me down”. Very clever way explaining their story. And their new approach to performing. Love it.

I’m sitting listening to this truly brilliant song by ABBA and it’s bringing back floods of memories as they were number 1 with Super Trouper and that was when I met Eric my husband now of 39 years. It’s so emotional for me thinking of the brilliant songs they wrote and I loved every one of them. I was 17/18 when they were just huge in the charts. Im now 58 and still absolutely love them and the brilliant songs they still write today. I really hope they are bringing as much joy to everyone else as they have for me today. 😊

Agnetha, Benny, Björn & Annifried where so hesitant all these decades about a return. This song just blends in within all the other great ABBA Hits and you can't get enough of it. Prooves their worries were totally unfounded. Love ABBA and their greatest gift they've given all their fans - a looong hoped reunion. Hope they'll bless us with more songs❤❤❤
I am looking forward for next year. On 50th anniversary of their performance of Waterloo, Eurovision will be aired from Stockholm. Perhaps we can await some nod to them or even perhaps (i hope) some of them will appear on stage personally.
What a sensational thing for all of us who weren't alive 40 years ago. I couldn't imagine, not even in my wildest dreams, that I would get the possibility to experience newly released ABBA music! I am crying! And it is not due to garlic fumes!!

I thought this tooo.
How many artists can say they took a 40 year break and come back and the world is talking about it? Damn. Go ABBA!
I think they got so worried about tarnishing their legacy then realised that what’s important is they are creating and enjoying what they do.
Legends for their success and return 🤩
Yessssss!!!!
They were joking that there's an old saying in the music industry that you can't leave more than 40 years between Albums, so they had to make one or else!
All band members have to be alive for a start.
It's like going back 40 years, it's like being a teenager again......those magical days of the mid-late 70s when ABBA's music was everywhere you went. Voyage was just an amazing experience, truly. I knew it might be emotional, well it sure was!!

Its like they never left....took a long ass vacation and came back to show EVERYONE how its supposed to be done! 👍
Just a notion has just been released too! The ABBA official channel needs to stop limiting comments on non music videos as this limits views/people finding the music!
" never say never ! " famous proverb - love from Switzerland
This is probably best comeback ever, sensible, and fully continuing on where the group left it. Timing and involving technology...super smart. Reminder that art, skill and quality is timeless. Love it.
Spot on review!
Nailed it!

Completely agree. I hear something new every time I listen to it. So happy 😊
It's almost as if they narrated their life story through that song.
It made me cry as well!!! It is just wonderful to have them back!!!
I know what you mean. The lyrics and music are so clever x
Tears of joy. These are not just songs. They are the rebirth of hopefulness, the immersion into a past thought long lost, and for the younger generations, the inclusion into an experience shared only virtually. Nostalgia, hope, but for once not in vain. Time regained.
I think these songs should be put straight on More Gold. As great as anything they have done.
Welcome back Abba.... We have missed you very much......

I disagree, with great respect to you. May I ask what exactly is better? The voices are less technically secure, the songs are mediocre, and the production exactly like 1981! It's slightly weird - almost like a museum piece. I think they should have aimed for a newer sound.
@@nathanharris-composer7362 No.
Indeed. Been playing this song non stop since Monday
How does this band maintain such a distinctive.....them-ness? This song is so ABBA and already timeless it's like they float above time and space and are just....them. just ABBA.
No need for me to write a new comment. This captures my sentiments succinctly
Great songwriters/singers do not need to change their style in order to be good and stay trendy. That's what apparently every musician has forgotten nowadays.
Yep. The song may only be a few days old, but to me it’s as timeless as Waterloo.
Yep, it's like they never went away :'-)

Literally crying like a baby here. What an incredible song from an incredible band. Welcome back Abba! The world greets you with open arms!
Thats beautiful .
I cried, too. 😢
ABBA

It’s like they never left the studio. Perfection.

i think much of this experience is thanks to Benny, who has worked with live music the whole time (after Chess and those musicals) in his own band (BAO) during the years, so he totally got the music and rythm there.. ;)

LOL. 😂
No swearing, no violence, no aggression. A masterclass for today's "singers".
Adele.....
I dont buy many albums but i will be buying the new abba album
@@rw8733 you are absolutely right. A wake up call for the 🌎 and today's pop music industry. We the audience deserve so much better 💗 ABBA 💗
This album is a gift to the world.
These legends are 70+ and making music like this..... let that sink in..... Real pros never lose their touch.

REAL TALENTS ALWAYS SHINE!!!❤❤❤❤❤
This song is absolutely beautiful. Even after 40 years you can tell it’s ABBA. They kept the same style and that’s amazing! As a 35 year old woman I grew up with Abba due to having older parents so for my generation to see them it’s absolutely wonderful 💜
As a 35 year old you weren't even born when they first stopped ;)
@@DannX68 Yes I am fully aware of this. And?
It was just that "my generation"-thing. Made you sound like you were there during their heyday.

ABBA showing their stunning class yet again, what a brilliant song this is! Absolute legends!
Never, in my entire life I thought I would say "I'm listening to the new Abba song they released TODAY!" I'm so emotional
Same! ❤❤
Me too!!
Same!
I'm 35. I know Abba since I was 13 and that was the love at first sight, as they say;)
So glad that They decided to come back with some new, fresh "meat"
Their Voices are so hmm sharp, so bright, it feels like this song was made in '70s , when They were at the top of Their fame.
Hugs from ABBA fan. Glad that ABBA has brought happiness into you and Mom's life
That is beautiful
I can imagine the Goodness of your mother
I can feel it in your words of her
She would be proud of you
Empires rise and fall
Countries come and go
We lose those we love
But then amazingly against the Odds
ABBA are here again
We have a Saying in Australia
You cannot keep a Good thing Down
Turns out
Its true
😍
Jeg husker og elsker ABBA! 😘😘
Everyone loves ABBA nowadays
@@AndreasJepsenMusic When I was 12 (I am from 1964) they hated ABBA. It was not cool but I knew how good they were.
Their talent is and was always one of a kind. As a sort of musician myself too, I am sure their music is unparalleled.
I'm literally crying. They've created a song which sounds exactly as if someone has taken it out of 80s! It's amazing, they still have that sparkle!
Crying here too. For days now.
Goose bumps...
70’s
It would have been more amazing if they had updated their sound a bit instead of imitating a 1980 record. They used to update their sound often in their career. Why not now? I find it difficult to understand why they wanted such a dated sound. I am not a Madonna fan, but she at least updates her sound often rather than just being an 80s nostalgia singer.
Bawling is more accurate atm
I like the older, mature, experienced voices on this single. While the virtual "Abba-tars" will keep them forever young, there's a warmth to these older voices that I'm grateful ABBA chose not to digitally de-age.
What a blessing! This has to be the greatest come back in music history!
Thank You, *ABBA*
ABBA writing music history again. I expected it to be good, but this is truly unbelievable. Sounds exactly like at the peak of their success. What a comeback!!! 😱❤️🎉
Totally agree. I'm stunned just how much they still sound like the Abba we all loved back in the 70's/80's. Fantastic, and thoroughly made up to hear them back
agree, unbelievable, its kind of blessing
Back to the 70s baby!

Lol the song sucks.
I think it’s a tribute to the old ABBA fans that they recreated the original ABBA sound with multi-vocals and everything. Thank you ABBA.
thanks for the music ,just love it. BEST GROUP EVER...
@xrrxy vvoi Yet it still unmistakeably ABBA.
This song is very very Björn and Benny.
Yes, and an _immaculate_ orchestra.
I grew up in the 90s', but also got tears at these. It felt like an old friend coming back, bringing joy with them.
I felt the same. Back in the 70's moved beyond words.
Its our Voyage, they sent this to us all:)
I wouldn’t classify ABBA as “pop music”, many of their songs have story telling qualities , unlike typical pop songs
I completely agree. ABBA has brought so much happiness to billions of people around this world.

Fantastic song by this legendary band. It's sad however that it takes these 70+'ers to show the youngsters how a real pop song is made. Because let's face it, pop music with great melodies died many years ago. It took Abba for bringing it back.
what a brilliant come back what us Abba fans have been waiting for
I can’t stop smiling every time I hear this. I haven’t smiled like this since this damn pandemic started. Thank you ABBA for making the sun shine again in our lives.
I know how you feel. I was feeling really low today heard this! Wow brought back some good memories. Wonderful!
worse for me since I shed tears of joy every time I listen, especially the last lines get me every time. But ABBA kickstarted my music journey 20 years ago and I wouldn't accomplish many wonderful things if it wasn't for them back when I was 10yo.
I'm the same way. I have listened to this many time since Monday and my wife will say, "You're smiling so you must be listening to ABBA again".
and crying as well!!
My mother died 2 years ago and she was such a big Abba fan. She went to her grave with Abba. And I think she would be the happiest person in the world right now! I am the happiest person in the world for her!
Let's all be happy for her!
My mother loved Abba too, I played I have a dream at her funeral and it came true, love you mam and Abba 😘
My mother passed also 2 years ago.
I feel she's happily watching me listening to them.
Your mother would be listening to these new ABBA tracks on Heaven Radio,
She had a great child in you...and great taste in music...love from Ireland 🇮🇪
Tears every time I hear this…even more tears when I realize that I am not alone. Millions of us on this lonely earth, isolated in some way…and then these beautiful, joyful and perfect songs appear. So many of us needed this, and we didn’t realize how much it was needed until it was given to us. Thank you for returning the magic and music…we still believe in you.
So true Hal............
And suddenly this 52 year old man is 12 again and I still have my life ahead and the comfort of my parents to love and protect me.
Now they're long gone but I have these tunes bringing me right back. No wonder you, I and so many others listen with tears running down our faces
This song is going to bring couples who have separated or divorced back together again I am sure of it ❤️❤️❤️
@@michaelkeane6433 reminds me of being 11 (55 now) and loving ABBA so much! They started my lifelong love of music and make me feel closer to my late parents and happy times.
@@l-pat It's clear so many of us feel the same. What perfect timing it was for this to happen now, after the awful 18 months we've all been through
ABBA did it again, unbelievable! Thanks to Benny and Björn🎤👍
I strongly believe the rainbow-striped bifrost returned the Nordic gods to us. This music makes me so happy. It’s angelic, heavenly, rapturous. It’s a softer ABBA, ripened to perfection with tones and lyrics that offer us hope and healing in these dark times. I am extremely grateful. ❤️❤️❤️❤️😊😊😊😊
Oh wow, beautiful comment! 😍
I agree with each of your words 🥰🌈💖💫
Well said indeed! The ray of light we all needed!
Yes, beside all the other levels the song carries the theme of being reborn or resurrected. Like a hymn. Amazing!
Heimdal has been looking kindly upon us
@@chrisspoohbear8903 Oh gosh, i love Norse mythology so much!!! 😍
ABBA is back!!!! This kind of music, the lyrics, no one makes them like this anymore. The legends return when we need this music the most!!!! 😭❤️
😭😭😍 Right?!
I like the lyrics “ And now you see another me, I’m not the one you knew, I’m now and then combined, and I’m asking you to have an open mind, and I’m not the same this time around, Don’t shut me down”. Very clever way explaining their story. And their new approach to performing. Love it.
ABBA has OFFICIALLY come back to reclaim their throne as the BEST POP GROUP EVER. Once again, THANK YOU FOR THE MUSIC, ABBA!
Love, the WORLD...and specifically the USA here...and YES, we STILL LOVE YOU HERE TOO!
Pop stars in shambles
Warning... middle aged man crying here at the sheer joy of ABBA giving us yet another brilliant song. They sound as good as ever.
And me mate
So sweet.... 🥰😍😋
One of my former students, around 45 now and a very successful high school teacher with 2 daughters, has a dad who bullies him because he likes Abba, I shared that clip with him! I saw it too
Same here mate , same here - Just gave it a test drive on my new NAD C399 driving Klipsch RP8000F speakers - blooody hellfire
Joy is the word. Their sound is timeless, and I'm young again 😢
17/18 is the best of all time signatures. Unfortunately for all Abba fans, it is not used here.
I am 72 and I am weeping tears of joy.
This is a lovely comment 💘

This song has every part of every songs they ever made.. a masterpiece.. tears went down my face.. i am glad i am still alive to hear that comeback.. Thank you for the music ..
YES, Thank you for the MUSIC!!
Feeling the same !
Cupcakes !
This song will definitely be no.1 all over the world. A real masterpiece with the original, pure ABBA sound. ABBA is spreading so much love, which this world needs so much at this moment.❤️🧡
I think you're overestimating most people of the world. I hope so though
Give it some time probably!
