  • This video will cover how you calculator can help you find the derivative a point. Remember that the derivative function does not work backwards, but you can use the derivative function to help you find places where the derivative equals a specific value. I have used a ti-83 instead and geometry is hard but with a graphic calculator is so cool to work with !
I never worked on this type of math before but I learned something ! Thank you!

Damn it, I was kind of hoping that the Ti-83 would find where the derivative equaled zero. Disappointed but oh well.

Well it could, the dy/dx of a constant is zero (such as f(x)=1, f '(x)=0)
He explains how to estimate it at 4:30.

Dylan C yes that's the way you have to do it. I was just wondering if I could just input zero and get the answer. This way is just fine too.

Danny Munoz If only there was a setting for y=... , eh? :)

Dylan C wait are you saying that you can just input zero quickly and get the answer? I seriously want to know, I can't tell if you're being sarcastic lol

Danny Munoz If there is, it isn't on my ti-83.
I was saying it would be awesome. :P
