Dan, I can’t thank you enough for these. Each and every time I watch AND listen to what you are trying to convey, I pick up something new. Your advice abt not playing the same crap each time you pick up your guitar is so true. It is always a work in progress. Keep trying new tunes, methods and even tunings. Your extensive repertoire of Irish jigs turned another page in the book. Thanks much
Thank you sir .
I have a homespun CD of Doc Watson. I enjoyed that equally as much as watching you play.
Dan this video is a mess of stops and starts, just keep it simple, look up Tony Doc And Nor.man videos simple and to the point, it's nearly impossible to learn anything for this video, Come on man .
Maybe you don't understand that this is a sample of a much longer, very cohesive video lesson. It's only meant to be a "teaser" and not to be a lesson in itself. Do yourself a favor and check out the entire lesson, which is truly excellent.
@@HomespunMusicInstruction Dan came to Ireland and spent a lot of time talking about who he played with for example Tony Rice very rarely by the way and Doc Watson because his style is of no interest to most people full of ego and no soul. This is a true statement and if you don't believe me prove I'm wrong, Norman doc and Tony we're the Great player's that interest us big Dan was never in the Game, be honest even David Greyer was a better player that impressed us more, and today Brian Sutton but how about The King Billy Strings enough said, big Dan had never a look in but was given respect by Doc Tony And Norman .

Hey genius its a SAMPLER. GET A CLUE. I bet you vote democrat. C'mon, Man
I think you might have missed the point. He is assuming you have a rudimentary grasp on the instrument. He is I believe, attempting to show how to fill in verses, banjo licks, and even pick by oneself, playing a rhythm and a lead to the tune. He has many books for sale if that is what floats your boat also. One, he plays w/ Tony, Doc, Norman, and Beppe.Jammed if I Do, complete w/ tablature and CD. It ain’t free like this clip though.
6:30......that was amazing.
