  • Two fantastic, brutally powerful rackets go head to head. Power, Spin, Touch, Feel, Precision will determine which one comes out on top. And this one is personal...

    Do more Prince! Just bought a Synergy 98 and played 2-3 hours. They have some interesting molds.

    • @jeffislearning
      @jeffislearning 7 месяцев назад +2

      i bought the syn 98 cause it was so cheap and it is just as control oriented as the yonex but yonex definitely has more plowthrough. the prince is softer on contact and the denser string pattern gives it a unique feel. still trying out a bunch of strings and tensions. a hybrid of poly mains and syn crosses is my go to so far

    • @experientialtennis
      @experientialtennis 7 месяцев назад

      @@jeffislearning I've played it with Isospeed Grey Fire 1.25 and now with Kirschbaum Evolution 1.25, both at around 22kg. I feel I lack some "punch". It's flexy and underpowered if I don't hit full and fast swings. Once I get my motion good, I can get good depth. The problem is the ball bounces deep, but then "dies". But, I have to see what happens with new balls next time, because all hours I've played so far, I played switching from another racketxstring combo that takes a big toll on tennis balls. I'll update this comment next time I hit with the Synergy.

    @phtennis -- thanks for another fun review. Question: Although they are two different profile frames, I would like to hear your opinion on which 100 would YOU pick between Head Speed Pro and EZONE 100. I have both and really struggle to pick my long-term frame because both have very strong pros and cons, and both help enhance my game: EZONE: crisp, spin, great serves, easy power, SPEED PRO: mass-based control, enhances my strokes, great against heavy hitters. I am an intermediate all court player. Fit, in my early 50s.

    I’ve been using vcore but can’t adjust to the isometric shape. I used also the extreme tour.
    I’m a baseliner that hits with topspin. One handed backhand. Pretty advanced player.
    Would the pure drive be a good option?

    • @ph-tennis
      @ph-tennis  7 месяцев назад

      The Pure Drive is going to feel very different. Stiffer and probably better for counterpunching. The only way to know is for you to try it!

    I have recently trialled a pure drive team and I had a lot more control then my pure aero, I will be switching over to the pure drive 300g at some this year as I love the power and control it has 🎉

      Nice! The ezone definitely has more control but slightly less power than the pure drive… so may be worth testing before taking the plunge!

      CX 400 Tour is positively mentioned on forums. There's going to be a new CX series coming out from Dunlop very soon. I don't know exactly whe, but they're already teasing it on Instagram.

      Interesting - have you had your PD spec checked, sounds like it may be slightly

    • @ph-tennis
      @ph-tennis  7 месяцев назад +2

      Not necessarily. It depends how you strike the ball, how much spin you create, etc etc. Everyone is different!

  • @jamieleong9381
    @jamieleong9381 7 месяцев назад

    This comparison makes no sense - particularly if your goal is to help inform potential buyers of their next racquet purchase within these two lines.
    So if you're going to compare racquet bazookas at least get the comparable 100 sq inch models for a side by side comparison.

    Pure Drive has 3x more spin than Ezone 100. I own both. Very interesting...

    • @ph-tennis
      @ph-tennis  7 месяцев назад +4

      Interesting. How have you measured this?!

    • @JTACTR
      @JTACTR 7 месяцев назад

      @@ph-tennis Yes, with Wingfield Box + swingvision phone app. PD has a more open string pattern & Larger grommets for movement.
      Your Ezone sample might have a very low swingweight which could give you a sense of more spin due to more manuvirability.
      Also, ezone is pretty thick and clunky trough the air. On given sane swingweights, Ezone has no chance imo.
      Thanks for the reviews. Love them.
