- Two fantastic, brutally powerful rackets go head to head. Power, Spin, Touch, Feel, Precision will determine which one comes out on top. And this one is personal...

Excellent video guys!
Ezone 100 IS BEST POWER RACKET PERIOD!!!!
Thought it was going to be 100v100 battle, or 98v98
Yeah, I stopped watching when I found out they were comparing the 100 vs the 98
@@codifilo same here
Sorry guys...
Do more Prince! Just bought a Synergy 98 and played 2-3 hours. They have some interesting molds.
i bought the syn 98 cause it was so cheap and it is just as control oriented as the yonex but yonex definitely has more plowthrough. the prince is softer on contact and the denser string pattern gives it a unique feel. still trying out a bunch of strings and tensions. a hybrid of poly mains and syn crosses is my go to so far
@@jeffislearning I've played it with Isospeed Grey Fire 1.25 and now with Kirschbaum Evolution 1.25, both at around 22kg. I feel I lack some "punch". It's flexy and underpowered if I don't hit full and fast swings. Once I get my motion good, I can get good depth. The problem is the ball bounces deep, but then "dies". But, I have to see what happens with new balls next time, because all hours I've played so far, I played switching from another racketxstring combo that takes a big toll on tennis balls. I'll update this comment next time I hit with the Synergy.
@phtennis -- thanks for another fun review. Question: Although they are two different profile frames, I would like to hear your opinion on which 100 would YOU pick between Head Speed Pro and EZONE 100. I have both and really struggle to pick my long-term frame because both have very strong pros and cons, and both help enhance my game: EZONE: crisp, spin, great serves, easy power, SPEED PRO: mass-based control, enhances my strokes, great against heavy hitters. I am an intermediate all court player. Fit, in my early 50s.
Hi - I agree with your points, personally I’d go with the Ezone 100!
Josh
Simply joyous
I’ve been using vcore but can’t adjust to the isometric shape. I used also the extreme tour.
I’m a baseliner that hits with topspin. One handed backhand. Pretty advanced player.
Would the pure drive be a good option?
The Pure Drive is going to feel very different. Stiffer and probably better for counterpunching. The only way to know is for you to try it!
I think that the Dunlop FX 500 is also on the same category as these 2. Can you do a video including that as well? Awesome content, by the way!
Fx500 is better than both of them.
@@ProfDrTeomanCemKadioglu DUNLOP SUCKS. resale value sucks
@@dropshot118 hmmm. If resale value on the Dunlops suck, that might be a good thing if looking for a used racket,
I have recently trialled a pure drive team and I had a lot more control then my pure aero, I will be switching over to the pure drive 300g at some this year as I love the power and control it has 🎉
Nice! The ezone definitely has more control but slightly less power than the pure drive… so may be worth testing before taking the plunge!
Strings guys?
Can you compare the CX400 tour with the Ezone 98? I like the comparison you made with these two racquets. Specially that I am looking for a pure drive alternative.
CX 400 Tour is positively mentioned on forums. There's going to be a new CX series coming out from Dunlop very soon. I don't know exactly whe, but they're already teasing it on Instagram.
What type of strings were you using in the Ezone 98 in this video?
Yonex Poly Tour Pro (Blue) - J
is the wilson ultra in this same category?
All are ‘power rackets’, yes.
Nice video but Why not the pure drive 98?
or the ezone 100 I guess?
We deliberated about this, but decided to go with our two most popular versions. Will look to do a 98v98 or 100v100 in the new year
Not a fair comparison. It's more like a 100 vs 98
i've got both and have to disagree. pure drive all the way. Though both are 300g unstrung, Yonex feels like is heavy and I get arm pain though strung with the same string as PD
Interesting - have you had your PD spec checked, sounds like it may be slightly
On the lighter side of the tolerance…
But if you have a PD you love - great!
You should compare 2 of same head size racquets or it does not make any sense, sorry.
Yes - we used these as the best 2 versions of the particular families! But of course the two 100s would of been a fairer fight!
It's good to see these tennis videos done by Shane Warne!
AAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
But if you have too much power (Pure Drive), won't your balls go out?
Not necessarily. It depends how you strike the ball, how much spin you create, etc etc. Everyone is different!
This comparison makes no sense - particularly if your goal is to help inform potential buyers of their next racquet purchase within these two lines.
So if you're going to compare racquet bazookas at least get the comparable 100 sq inch models for a side by side comparison.
Understand your point entirely. We chose the two most popular models. We have full reviews of both rackets and other versions on the channel 👍🏽
Pure Drive has 3x more spin than Ezone 100. I own both. Very interesting...
Interesting. How have you measured this?!
@@ph-tennis Yes, with Wingfield Box + swingvision phone app. PD has a more open string pattern & Larger grommets for movement.
Your Ezone sample might have a very low swingweight which could give you a sense of more spin due to more manuvirability.
Also, ezone is pretty thick and clunky trough the air. On given sane swingweights, Ezone has no chance imo.
Thanks for the reviews. Love them.
😆@@ph-tennis
agree. I have both and strung with hyper G 18g. I haven't measured but when I hit with pure drive ball spins and literally opponents run away to the side instead of trying to hit it 🙂
totally..Ive played with both. PD has heavy spin and you really have to maipulate ezone to create that arc
