I had this album meself they we're the greatest very joung voices ever heard they should of bloody by passed the child thing they would've made millions of good records if they'd let them
@@missnorahmartindale7878 My original album was from Woolworths in 1976 !!! Not seen it anywhere since 😢😢must have turned around cos I cried when I couldn't find the album
give them a break, they were bits of kids trying to make a few quid, they were most likely taken away from there familys, with no say in what they were doing, they were very popular for a short while and had lots of fans!!
Ah I loved Kevin Rowan and Our Kid, remember organising coaches to see them in concert in Great Yarmouth and Morecambe in the 70's...I still have this albumn!!!
When I was a kid my parents formed a young kids band called the Grasshoppers and we would take a record player and these records around old peoples homes and to disabled centres and sing over the tunes with our own dance routines they loved it great times
They were a fabulous group. It was such a shame it was so short lived. Saw them perform a few times and travelled down to Great Yarmouth to see them in the Winter Gardens theatre. Fabulous memories. Terry McCreith and I went to the same school I adored him!!
I am working my last hour as DJ in a pub in Liverpool. Just discovered this great little local band of yore! Everyone is loving it! Liverpoo'ls version of Jackson 5!!! :)
this takes me back to when I worked on the dodgems on Morecambe winter gardens fun fair when Our Kid came out to ride on the dodgems in between their shows

Omg a blast from the past, The trouble we got into as kids following Our Kid, skipping school to go see them off when they were leaving liverpool to go do the summer season at Great Yarmouth, Also remember going to Gerat Yarmouth on Kevs mum's coach trip. Morecambe too. Still got this album somewhere all signed and a scrapbook full of pics autographs and newspaper cuttings and dare I say it mouldy chips which I pinched off Kev's plate. Brilliant memories fab times and crazy days.
One of those no doubt like Ruth Langsford & Annabel Giles who as kids ran away from boarding school just to follow their favourite pop stars of the era. For Annabel it was Steve "Cockney Rebel" Harley, and for Ruthie it was the late & unforgettable David Cassidy.
WOW OMG This takes me back I was about 8/9 when these guys first came on to the scene. I think they won a talent shoe called new faces sort of the X factor of the day.
They did. You Just Might See Me Cry, the last track, was a single release catalogue #2058 729, peaking at #5 on the UK charts in June 1976. More BGT than X Factor I would say.
Yes they were on the 1970s talent show 'New Faces' with songwriter Tony Hatch and producer Mickie Most were the brutally honest panel judges like Simon Cowell.
I Can remember these lads, I have some good memories because of these lads, I Live in Great Yarmouth and can remember spending some time with Kevin and Brian at the pleasure beach, I cant believe that Kevin is dead, What happened to him, It's so sad, He was a lovely lad RIP Kevin
I lived there too. Used to go several times a week to see the show. I have their act on tape somewhere and when they did the song "Memories" with Ken Goodwin. Happy Days of lovely summers Gt Yarmouth used to have.
I know that recently BGT judge Amanda Holden met the members of the group, but Kevin was missing from the reunion lineup. Amanda, also of "This Morning" fame, met Brian & the two Terrys for an interview for an ITV programme called "When Britain Really Had Talent". That was around 10 years ago, and I've no idea since what happened to Kevin. I know Brian appeared on the original "Stars in their Eyes" some 15 years ago as the late Joe Cocker, but I've literally no idea what else happened to this Liverpudlian quartet since.
wow is someone still loving ❤️them still like me. hey just shows ya how great our records we're then ya never can ever forget our records from then also have you noticed how you can understand their word and what their singing💋❤️ ❤️not Like now all bloody double Dutch or gobbly Gooch 🤣😀🤣
On that cusp of massive musical change in the summer of 1976. Punk and new wave was a couple of months away and about to hit the charts. Acts like this had no chance but snuck in for a bit of success just in time. Polydor was just about to sign the Jam and Siouxsie and the Banshees and would dump Our Kid within a matter of months x
I have just listened to a few of the album songs and are so wonderful. Recently i have only come about to hear only one hit -- you might see me cry, but the others are also marvelous for me. It is a real pity, that they had split away, mostly because of an irrational decision and pressure made by the older society of those days. They are all of my age, and as a teen i was a very interested lad, when it comes to the British top 20 charts. Very sad to here that Terry baccino passed away too soon. I guess he was just a couple or more months older than me. Very interesting and clear sound.
Didn't realise til now There are 2 verses slightly different words on the other RUclips you might see me cry Wonder why they changed the telephone verse 😪😪😪😪
I was told only yesterday that he had died but I haven't been able to find out any details . I have been looking through the comments section today on various utube Our Kid videos and also google etc but I haven't read any comments that confirm that sad news !
