    We all stand on the shoulders and backs of people like Abdul-Rauf and Capernick, Ali, and others. I stand with Professor Hunter in not giving dollars or eyes to these professional sports industries that profit off of our people's lives as if we are still property. Please keep bring the truth to the light!🔥

    Thanks Professor Hunter. Love the journey of this brother as well as Craig Hodges. I remember watching Mahmoud back at LSU and during his NBA career as a true basketball player: hard work and dedication to his craft. No one could guard him.

    Amazing interview. Watching him and Shaq at LSU, he was one of the most dynamic players I’ve seen and I knew the NBA was in trouble 😊. However, the NBA then wasn’t as mature and progressive as we thought and unfortunately he suffered. So glad the story is on a bigger screen ❤

    Same thing the NBA did to Kyrie Irving, although not to that extent!
    You weren't threatening but you were 'threatening' since you are Muslim and they are Jewish!!
    These people have delicate sensibilities and our people are always made to apologize for standing in their truth!
    When is all this nonsense with them going to end?
    We need to take a stand and STOP supporting people who cry out when things don't go their way, yet they deny reciprocity to others!!
    So not fair!!
    Btw, M. Rauf is a BRAVE man who should be celebrated!!🙏🏿🖤💯

    Did today's Black NBA players as a collective restore Mr. Abdul-Rauf wealth for his sacrifice, so they can thrive today. He should not have to go to the system for his only restoration. These players could give the restoration in doing so they could become a strong brotherhood togather. This is what the Jewish community would do if one of them was positioned similarly.

      Yes indeed the youngsters think that they have arrived. It is an illusion the money Mongers thrive in unrighteousness and don't give charity to the less fortunate's. The young ball players should embrace this beautiful human being and be thankful to be able to touch the hem of his garments. They stand upon his shoulders.

    I dislike David Stern even more now. He was a vile evil dictator and people really didn't see it. Sick system. Wish for one quick week the players don't play and take back all the power. The documentsry was everything. I love this brothe immensely and was in college playing the same tine he was. Couldn't wait to get back to myndorm and aee him play. As a PG myself he was everything. And 100% Humble as well. ❤️✊🏾🙏🏾🏀

    If they had not banned Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf we would not talk about Curry with such reverence because Mr. Abdul-Rauf was the baddest dude on the court when he got the ball and it did not matter who else was on the court. I think he could still play with todays game on a team like LA or Philly where they have to double team. He is still deadly in the big 3.

    Professor Karen, it is the global patriarchy for me. We know how bad Christianity has been for women, it was only yesterday the Black Church allowed women to preach, why would any woman join a religion that has toxic male patriarchy at it's foundation? I can clearly see the appeal in Islam for a Black man I would never deny the contribution of Islam for the self worth and self esteem of the Black man, the Black woman that is another conversation. The gag is God is neither male or female we speak about the divine masculine and divine feminine but these are all human ideals around masculinity and femineity.

    • @phylliskumi4355
      @phylliskumi4355 Год назад

      I would say that the way Christianity has been used is the problem. Jesus did not have a problem with women. There are many examples of powerful women in the Bible. The issue is that some folks behave like the did on ancient days, and act in a patriarchal manner. That is the problem.

    • @micheleholley9730

      @@phylliskumi4355 Great morning Sister, there are many passages in the bible where women are severely disrespected and the only time a woman is referenced is if something is needed from her so that is not real honor, that is only I need something you have, such as the Prophet Deborah and the women of the New Testament that assisted Paul financially. That is no different than what most women do who give of their resources to men who don't honor them. Sister it made me wonder when the Council of Nicaea was in the room together women where not a thought because Male Patriarchy was the standard.
