I know this song was originally about William, back when we knew nothing about him. I feel like in the current era of FNAF, this song still holds up, not for William, but for Micheal. Specifically right after the events of Sister Location and during the time where Ennard is using him as a skin-suit. Lines like, "I've done some things in my life that you may think are crazy" and "Now justice has been served" relate to Mike's guilt over The Bite of '83. All the stuff about ghosts and spirits relates to the fact that Ennard is literally a combination of the original five missing kids, Elizabeth Afton and possibly Mrs. Afton. I find it very likely that Ennard probably did some bad shit while controlling Micheal's body, which would cover the "What makes me do the things I do to everyone around me". Either that or it's referring to everyone's reaction to Micheal slowly decomposing. "This is the end of me. They got the best of me. Now justice has been served. Oh well, live and learn" are Micheal's thoughts right after being scooped. "It's just a dream. It's just a dream, but that doesn't mean my waking life is not a nightmare" is both a reference to the events of FNAF 4 and how badly he treated The Crying Child as well as Micheal trying to rationalize what's just happened to him. Just like Shane Dawson's past songs, I've learned to separate the work from the artist and it's a great mentality to have. There's so many actors, musicians, and artists that I follow that turn out to be horrible, horrible people but the stuff they churn out is top-tier and it's so hard to ditch them and find a "problem-free alternative" since whatever alternative you'll find will be drowned in drama sooner or later. As for Mando, I don't care what he's doing now after all this and I couldn't bring myself to give a damn anymore. I only see him as some rando who makes good tunes and I'm only going for the tunes. I know other artists who make music just as good as him or better. If he quits, that's fine. At least I still have other artists to listen to and I can always listen to his songs again as long as they're still available.
