First Time Shooting Savage 110 Hog Hunter Iron Sight (Budget Scout Rifle?)

- In this video I took my brand new Savage 110 Hog Hunter bolt action rifle, with iron sights, chambered in .308 Win out for the first time and sighted the rifle in. This was my first time sighting in iron sights and it turned out to be pretty straightforward and easier than sighting in with a scope.

I have one in .350 legend. Got because it has factory iron sights. We can deer hunt with straight wall rifle cartridges in Iowa. I absolutely love mine. My 12 year old son took his first deer with it last fall. It’s has been a highly accurate rifle for us. Thank you for the video.

I had one a while back, sure wish I hadn't sold it.
I think it's definitely worth getting another, as they made some improvements to the stock now and added the accu fit. Also added the removable mag from the older models. Quite a handy hidden gem of a rifle now!!

What is that Vortex chest rig you’re wearing?
I can't remember the name exactly. But if you search on cabelas or bass pro site you should find it.
Picked one up at academy about 6 years ago to check it out and immediately noticed how flimsy the stock was. Just felt cheap ass hell. Hopefully they stiffened it up a bit.
Oh really? I haven't noticed that, seems pretty good to me. They did change up the stock and added in the accu fit style.
@@LuRanOutdoors It was an older model so if they put a accu stock on it it’s probably a solid rifle now.
@Pays2Win so far so good! Only complaint I have is the action not as smooth as I like. But I put on some lubricant and it's better now.

Hey thabjs for the comment. They actually have accustock now. The one you saw in this video has the accustock. Think savage updated the stock for the 110 hog hunter in recent years. The accustock is definitely a great addition. They also added a removable mag too!!
