SRV is amazing but so is Jeff Healey. He’s fantastic blues player and singer, I love to watch him play. You’re right BP2 none of us have an excuse in not being able to play an instrument. Jeff Healey proves that. Love these two together! But Jeff Healey by himself is just as amazing. It would be great if you guys did some Jeff Healey next. You will be blown away by him.❤
I love this Stevie laid back and let Jeff shine what a beautiful sight and that is total respect as far as I'm concerned....they are two amazing artist's giving each other respect❤....love the reactions and I'm so happy you we're able to hear Stevies voice more this time😊
Thank you guys for reacting to one of my absolute favorite homeboys from Canada Jeff Healey !!He's a legend in the Canadian Blues, rock and jazz scene in the 80's and 90's and can play with the very best musicians with his unique style and the fact that he is blind speaks volumes of this man's amazing talents ! His talents have garnered the very best artists in the Blues and Rock field worldwide ! Sadly he died so so young at 41 years of cancer ! I'm so happy to see him introduced on your fabulous channel ! I hope you get to hear a few more songs from this tremendously talented artist ! Much appreciated as always gents and sending you all the thanks in the world for this gem ! 👍👍🇨🇦🇨🇦❤️
@Ron Gotwalt Hi Ron and thanks for the great comment. Great to see you here and enjoying this one. We will be following up with more from SRV and Jeff very soon. Stay well.
Thanks, guys! Jeff Healey was pretty much as awesome as Stevie - they were made for each other... and seeing Jeff jump up without a strap, and rock out was amazing... appreciate this.. .SRV was always so generous when working with other musicians.. if you haven't yet, I hope you do "Tin Pan Alley"...
We're not worthy. If THIS performance doesn't make you happy to be alive, nothing EVER WILL. When BP1 said " he's just sitting there playing on his lap ", I thought to myself....just hang on BP1, he's about to jump up and go full ham. Loved the look on BP1's face when Jeff went crazy. 👌 RIP to these two legends. 🙏 🤍🕊Oh, BTW, Stevie Ray does another version of this song without Jeff, that's also a much watch. Reece plays like six keyboards at the same time, with only two hands. Stevie Ray pops a string, keeps on playing without the string, until his guitar tech hands him.another guitar, which he switched out without missing a single note. Stevie Ray freestyled everything. He never played a song the same way twice. Everytime you watch him, you'll see something different. He played lead and rhythm guitar parts at the same time. Truly the GOAT. Treat yourselves and watch everything the man ever did.
Two legends making beautiful music! Jeff has some really good music angel eyes is one that put him on the map! And as a older man now I have always felt like Stevie must of felt like his time on earth wouldn't be too long. Cause when you watch the old videos and different footage of him, he never wasted a performance. Even his sound checks were on another level! Great reaction guys have a blessed day!
Jeff Healy was also a fantastic artist! What a great combination! He sadly died at 41 from cancer. Such another loss to the world! Patrick Swayze also died of cancer a 1 1/2 years later.
His voice IS incredible on "Ain't Gone 'n' Give Up On Love" at the Capitol Theater. Watch the "Leave My Girl Alone" performance, too (Austin 1989). Stevie and his guitar come out in a rage, sounding like wave after wave of angry bees after somebody has poked their nest with a stick. There's his great "Pride And Joy" that shows off his voice, as well. And on the fantastic "Tin Pan Alley" with Johnny Copeland, too. For a different change of pace, definitely check out the exquisite voice of SRV's guitar in Stevie's stunning instrumental, "Riviera Paradise." ❤
I think Stevie's voice is even better on LIFE WITHOUT YOU at Capitol Theater. He also gives a very inspiring speech in the middle of the song as he's playing behind his back. RIP💔SRV🎸
Also "Champagne & Reefer" live @ Buddy Guy's club...with Buddy calling Stevie onstage. Wonderful, loose, intimate. AND Jeff Beck/SRV on Fire & FuryTour closing with "I'm Going Down"... ferocious, supercharged version, both laughing & trading licks.
His 1989 Austin City limits concert was probably the best after his 1983 El Mocambo concert. Voodoo Child, Life Without You with a live guitar swap, Look at Little Sister NASCAR guitar swap. Undeniably the best guitarist EVER. RIP💔 SRV🎸
This might get lost after the fact, and I don't recall the exact quote, just that SRV was once asked if anyone (intimidated) him on the guitar, and he mentioned Jeff Healey - he has some great performances of his own 🙂
Thank you for your reactions! Hoping you'll dive a little deeper into Jeff Healey. My suggestion would be "See the Light" performed live on Night Music in 1988. You'll have the chance to see and hear how good he really is.
You are watching 2 of the most talented guitarists in music history, sadly, both are now gone. BUT, while you are here...suck it in..pure rock and roll. All the best. Cheers.
Saw The Jeff Healey Band open for ZZ Top in San Francisco at the Cow Palace Area some years back. He stood a lot of the show and the bass player would nug him away from the edge of the stage and over to his mic He was really quiet good live.
Jeff plays his guitar like a lap steel. Not unlike 2 time Grammy winner Lucky Oceans from Fremantle who plays a pedal steel. Just another reminder for Third Stone From The Sun at El Mocambo. You’ll find out how the brown Fender got like that. I’ll even come over to pick up your jaws for you 😉
two legends lost far too early. And Stevie did all sorts of crazy things with guitar bodies, necks, pickups. He would break strings and snap necks and ... Who knows, maybe Jeff had the right idea
There are numerous clubs in Chicago where music like this is played live every day--but not necessarily as good as this, tho! 😉 I've been fortunate enough to have spent some time in a few of them.
Jeff Healey was a wonderful blues guitarist, and he is missed. His style of playing is common for the steel guitar. You could react to steel guitar videos, or look at steel guitar artists, like Junior Brown. Nice reaction!
@@BritPopsReact it's all good. Have you SEEN the Blues Brothers? Especially movie version. They have the most iconic cast in a movie including Ray Charles, Cab Calloway, James Brown, and Aretha! They did it as a skit at the beginning of the show but it was so good it kept getting longer and I believe that was the first snl skit to be made into a movie. And the best.
@@BritPopsReact oh yeah. This was good. And are you doing the Friday chat tomorrow later for you? You discussed it, didn't know if you had made a decision.
You need to check out some of the official videos of SRV like Cold Shot, Superstition, House Is Rocking, Change It and Love Struck Baby. Everyone does the live videos but not the official ones
@Glenn Elfmann Cheers Glenn for the recommendation. We will be back with more from SRV soon and also following up with him in the future and will try and get to this one soon. All the best
Brilliant choice! I've seen Jeff Healey performances, but never standing up. They were working those guitars! Jeff Healey said he loved playing with SRV, because there was no ego or "cutting" involved - just 2 guys having fun.
SRV is amazing but so is Jeff Healey. He’s fantastic blues player and singer, I love to watch him play. You’re right BP2 none of us have an excuse in not being able to play an instrument. Two iconic guitarists - how I love this one. Stevie's little grin of appreciation while he is careful to stay out of Jeff's way is adorable.
Jeff was very under rated as a guitarist.
I love this Stevie laid back and let Jeff shine what a beautiful sight and that is total respect as far as I'm concerned....they are two amazing artist's giving each other respect❤....love the reactions and I'm so happy you we're able to hear Stevies voice more this time😊
Two GOATs of guiater playing

Hi Ron and thanks for the great comment.
Great to see you here and enjoying this one.
We will be following up with more from SRV and Jeff very soon.
Stay well.
If you like Jeff Healey you should watch video of "Angel Eyes". Beautiful song.
Check out Jeff Healey - See the Light Night Music 1988. Includes Dr John on piano. Will knock your socks off.
One of his best.
"The Sky Is Crying" one of the best blues songs SRV recorded.
❤❤ RIP Stevie & Jeff🌹🌹

Jeff said in an interview one time he loved playing with Stevie because it never felt like a competition it was just music.

I use to go see Jeff in small clubs in the Toronto area in the mid 80s outstanding guitarist and singer.
Please do these two ,life without you, capitol theater NJ 1985 , and Tin pan alley with guest Johnny Copland. Rip my hero's
SRV loved Jeff. And Jeff is a Canadian treasure. I was lucky to see them both live and both shows were mind blowing.
What pure unadulterated talent and neither are with us anymore. So grateful for these videos. THANK YOU GENTS!

SRV ~ 🎸🐐 The goatiest goat in all of goatness
For powerful, soulful, raw SRV vocals:
**Leave My Girl Alone at Austin City Limits 1989**
Jeff Healy was also a fantastic artist!
What a great combination!
He sadly died at 41 from cancer.
Such another loss to the world!
Patrick Swayze also died of cancer a 1 1/2 years later.
Well done. SRV's voice best appreciated doing SRV written "Ain't Gonna Give Up on Love" @ Capital Theatre.

Y'all Rock! Please do "Willie the Wimp" Stevie's tribute to Bill Carter and like everything Stevie did it Rocks. Spread the love 🐶😎🇺🇸
The two best guitarists from both sides of the border.
morning guys have a listen to jeff healey playing As the years go passing by live at the stuttgart jazz festival 1995 he's amazing
In the Angel Eyes video Jeff Healey has one of the best mullets of all freakin time.
I've been a rocker my whole life but these days I think my favorite genre might just be blues! Good reaction gents!
'Tin Pan Alley', the one with Johnny Copeland, from Montreaux shows a wonderful range of Stevie's voice.
Jeff actually did know better, he was trained in the normal way, but he created this style for himself because it felt more comfortable.
His 1989 Austin City limits concert was probably the best after his 1983 El Mocambo concert. Voodoo Child, Life Without You with a live guitar swap, Look at Little Sister NASCAR guitar swap. Undeniably the best guitarist EVER.
RIP💔 SRV🎸
Check out Jeff playing See The Light. Mind blowingly good

The Jeff Healey band is the bar band in the movie Road House
You are watching 2 of the most talented guitarists in music history, sadly, both are now gone. BUT, while you are here...suck it in..pure rock and roll.

Cheers.
So happy you did this one! Two greats for the price of one.

Now you need to redo this song with just SRV, watch closely after Reese Wynan's keyboard solo.
Agreed! Good suggestion.
Btw, just fyi..it's Reese Wynans.💙
@@deborahcornell171 tks I'll correct it
Jeff Healey was a wonderful blues guitarist, and he is missed. His style of playing is common for the steel guitar. You could react to steel guitar videos, or look at steel guitar artists, like Junior Brown.
Nice reaction!
When I saw Blues Brothers I thought you were talking Dan Ackyroid and Jim Belushi from SNL and their movies.😂. I'll watch later.
@Kari
Sorry for any confusion, we try and make the thumbnails a bit different.
Hope you enjoy this one.

@Brien Biggs
Hi Brien, thanks for the comment.
We will check out some of those recommendations.
Many thanks
Fabulous analysis Gentlemen, you are certainly becoming my two favorites.
Thanks, and greetings from Carolina.
If you're looking for something a little different from SRV I would suggest - "Riviera Paradise"
@Glenn Elfmann
Cheers Glenn for the recommendation.
We will be back with more from SRV soon and also following up with him in the future and will try and get to this one soon.
All the best
Jeff plays the guitar the way he does not because he is blind but because at age 3 he was too small to hold the guitar in the usual fashion
MLB | Unreal Super Nasty Pitches Compilation by Baseball Fans these pitches are insane.
Deux artistes partis beaucoup trop tôt . ❤
For something different from SRV, check out instrumentals Lenny(which he wrote for his wife) & Riviera Paradise.
Wicked awesome!
Check out Jeff Healey- See the Light (night music 1988). He'll blow your mind.
And like the real Blues Brothers, a Canadian and American.
BP2 knows his s*** !
Great bit of Blues rock, nice one.
Here's Jeff at his best, with a kick-ass rhythm section: ruclips.net/video/gwgOUzodS6E/видео.html
SRV was only 5'5" tall with huge hands.
Oh the "string break" song is Little Sister. Just sayin... it'll surprise ya.
Fantastic 😊
Jeff Healy was blind from birth. Cancer took his sight and eventually killed him. Today with modern medicine he might have lived to play.
Watch Healy do See The Light
Brilliant choice! I've seen Jeff Healey performances, but never standing up. They were working those guitars!
I think it was under an SRV video I read a comment by a guitarist _"Since watching this, my guitar is so disappointed in me, _*_it_*_ has put its own 'for sale' ad in the paper."_
I avoided reacting until now, so I can have a double dose of 'bants'! See you later.
