I love Mark's southern accents. I live in the south and hear all sorts accents from the people I know. He does a good job in my opinion. It also makes me feel less silly when I run a game and try out my British accents.

I had a great idea for a Team name. Radiant Tempest Since you have two Holy users, Sentry and Quill. And Aila uses lightning magic with her hammer, and Lucius can use Ice magic, and storms are cold like that... I figured, something to do with Radiance and Storms, so i landed at *Radiant Tempest* .
Mark, can I just say: as an American, and as a DM who sucks at accents, you do a VERY good American accent when you actually try. I mean, the southern accent is fun and all, but when you are actually trying to do a "regular" American accent, you do a very good job. Makes me feel guilty for how I butcher your accent when I try it. Forgive me.
As someone from the south his Southern accents are way over the top and terrible, but I find them fun. I think weather an accent is bad or not your players will pick up on it and it helps build their immersion. I love a bad accent or sound effect to nothing!
As someone from America (Texas) I've always wondered how British people felt about Americans imitating their accents while role-playing. Here, I've had the opportunity to experience the reverse for myself.

I'm from Spain and having chorizo and similar foods as rations seems pretty normal to me. Alongside with bread and cheese, it's has been more used than jerky in Medieval times around here if I'm not mistaken.

Hi, new here, veteran player, 25 minutes into this particular vid. You guys just left Rosehall. That had a general store. Which you visited. And talk about renting horses and wagons came up. Why are you trying to do all the shopping in a _much smaller town_? Gods. I'm not sure how much this is just the players acting like their low-level and not-world-wise characters would but it makes me weep a little. Otherwise, I LOVE this damn campaign, I listen to it podcast style while I work from home and it'll obvs keep me going for a while! I hope we meet Lucius' daddy at least once, he sounds super fun. XD
Agreed. Something I've noticed us that player characters have trouble retreating. Even when its clear that nothing will he lost by leaving and they can always come back when their sttonger. I theorize that the 'I'm not leaving' mentality is leafy over from playing linear videogames, where players are only really taken out of impossible or overly difficult situations by cutscenes and the like.
@@asherandai1000 A good dm can prevent the story from moveing foward to quickly, there for allowing the party an appropriate chance to make the session to go back or not. As for the players forgetting, DnD is a game usually played once a week, if that. If you don't take good notes while you play your doing it wrong.

I don't take XP away from the players, but yes, Arval and Valla both are "progressing" along with them, the more they are involved in things. Their progression is slower and I never give NPCs full "classes" they usually just gain hit dice and additional spells/abilities.

And the dirty Iron from the Brookstone's causes even more troubles. Also can I point out that (although they are funny as heck) these guys are very bad at taking notes. They actually did solve the caravan troubles since they were paid for it.
Are they aware of the breath holding rules for dnd or is Mark using different rules, because with most of them, they have enough CON to be able to breath for a decent while. Qilek could hold his for 2 minutes, and most of them can hold their breath the same or longer.
