It is a good looking bike. I'll give it that. Fuel injection, dual front disc, rear disc, inverted forks...it ticks a lot of boxes and on a budget. If one isn't hung up on country of origin, it would make a good first beater bike or commuter bike that you wouldn't need to worry about getting dinged up. Zip~

It's a Regal Raptor. They sell to multiple dealers across the world under different names. AJS, Johnny Pag, Junak, Hunter, the list goes on. Most engines are based on the CMX250 (More modern ones changed to EFI and/or water-cooled, the older model engines they used in their line up were literally copies of the CA125 and CMX250, with the exception of the 300cc and 350cc models)
I literally have 3 bikes in my garage right now, a Honda Rebel CMX250, an AJS DD250E, and a Jinlun JL125-13. Guess what? They're all the same bike with all the same parts :P There's more Honda Rebel copies out there than actual Honda Rebels. Benelli Patagonian Eagle, Keeway Patagonian Eagle, Sinnis Cruisestar, Jinlun JL13, AJS Regal Raptor DD.
It's insane. Check out the different brands for the same bike here: www.regal-raptor.com/en/map.asp

Hey there! Never expected this bike on your channel, but happy to see that.
I own same bike. Bought it new for USD 3450 back in 2014 and have done more than 54 000 miles on it since then. Bought it for the looks, but never regretted that purchase =) I will add some minor details:
it is indeed liquid cooled, not oil cooled
this one is newer model with EFI and balance shaft - older ones had carbs
engine basically is honda rebel with liquid cooled cylinders
bike is made in China and sold around the world under different brands as Regal Raptor, Leonart, Junak, Jawa, Geon, Dadyw, Hunter - all local dealers - hence strange name

I was just about to comment about the brand they sell by in the world. I currently live in Peru and that bike here goes by Regal raptor. In Spain they go by Leonart.
Down in Peru, they have a pretty good marketing scheme. But most mechanics have negative things to say. Maybe it's cause the models they sell out here are 400+ cc so maybe the change in pistons and gear box might not be all that good. Most mechanics here say they leak oil coming out the store.. i never had one myself but they do look nice.

I actually love riding it and it is deadset the most comfortable and nimble cruiser I’ve riden… I have hollowed the cats on it and hollowed out the mufflers so straight piped it and it sounds really good. It gets a lot of complements and thumbs up etc etc no it’s not a Harley but it’s a great beginner / intermediate bike to get into cruising and modifying until you upgrade into a nice Harley which is the plan. I wouldn’t mind modifying this bike to run a Harley Evo or another V twin which is what lead me to this post in the first time.

This bike was my first bike, I do really had awesome experiences with it, I used to live in Argentina, and I bought it used from my best friend, today I am missing it (In Argentina they are manufactured by Jawa-RVM), and I am looking a way to have it again (not exactly the one that was mine) but now I am living in Colombia, South America (if you have any info on how to have it imported, I am glad to hear about). Mechanically speaking, this bike has no problem, you can make it sound louder, "twearking" the mufflers, and boy It roars like an angry 1200 cc, I had it with carburator, not fuel injection systems. the only thing that "let's say" I felt of a real bad quality are the "metal" parts, the brake, the gear, the footpegs, they are of some kind of alloy of a poor quality and tends to break easily, but that's a thing you can purchase and change, cheap or even improve.
As i said before, if someone knows how to have this bike imported to Colombia, I do really apreciate, I wish to have it again, my precious white horse.

I picked one of these, after seeing one local for not too much, and looking at RUclipss of swaps to slightly larger motors. Like into the 700cc range.
But all the vids are so old, I can't get a response from most of the builders to get some details. I did get an answer from someone who put a Harley 883 in, but with so much frame altering it really wasn't the same frame any more.
For now I have a chain drive 750 shadow motor I got cheap ( not running, but so I can eyeball things) because I once found someone who wrote he had put one in, but I can't find him again. And also have seen a few xs650 motors that I know should fit, but again, the posts on them are old and the posters don't respond. Also saw one with a 650 Savage motor, but I want just a little more, plus more than a single cylinder.
So it's been more like a full size model car that I play with the style of (made a sissy bar, working on a king/queen seat, etc) until I can work out the motor idea.

I had a 50cc pagsta chopper that i put a 50 cc semi auto baja dirt bike motor on. I rode it forever and when it broke i of course neglected it for years and eventually sold it to the scrapyard.. Well long story short i saw it a couple months back so i stopped and the guy said he was fixing it for his son! I was just happy it was running again and in rehab. I told him it would do burnouts and wheelies! 😄

Smaller bikes are totally adequate if you aren't trying to be the fastest thing around.. my rebel 250 is pretty comparable to an average, basic 4cyl car. Been my daily driver for almost two years. Can actually be kinda peppy if hit the upper rev range.

If that speedometer is in kph then the odometer is more than likely 40 kilometres or 25 miles. Even lower mileage than you thought.

My question how cheap can you get the fuel injection system and can it be converted to put on Japanese motorcycles like a Suzuki dr650 on a Kawasaki or even Yamaha XT

    • @makaveli087

I've wondered the same thing. Call me old & lazy but I'm so painfully sick of carbs. Everything should be Fuel-Injected. Access to Ethenol-Free Fuel has eased the torture of carbs greatly for my fleet but still. Some sort of universal ECU to code up & build maps must be around for SOMETHING. Somebody look into this.

kmh is much better than mile per hour, makes much more sense. the speed of sound is about 1000kmh, and the meter system makes also more sense than mile or inches. one liter of whater is 10x10x10cm if im not wrong.

The 350 version is around 320cc the 300 is 270cc
Branded as an ajs in the UK, various models including the eos, Daytona and bobber (bobber is actual the hardtail version?)
Also sold as a regal raptor, leonart, liberta, hunter, junak, CMC, or jawa in other markets and possibly others , all the importers claim to have "designed" the bikes when in truth they have just chosen finish and decals.
Much like the pitbikes that are sold with various branding including custom engine covers and graphics, I'm guessing anyone can make a minimum order and have such branding added.
They are from what I can tell made by Lifeng Group Ltd. The company is located in Wenzhou, in Zhejiang Province, China, sold domestically as earth eagle or regal raptor.
There appears to be a dd400e version also at 396cc dd269fmq (air cooled) dd269mq (liquid cooled) engine suggesting a 69mm bore and the same 53mm stroke making just 19.8kw/26.55bhp (from pdf manual) other site says 22kw/29.5bhp@ 8krpm 28nm@ 6.5krpm

Minute 8:33. If u were going to build a motorcycle as cheap as u can, it won’t look like this, and if it does, it will cost u 20k. That is exactly why I bought mine 1,6k and customized it. in Spain it is called Leonart !

I had a 2008 red with silver ghost flames spider for around two years I sold it for exactly what I paid for it ..! ( I talked to Johnny Pag himself...! ) , “Not his son who took the company over eventually “ , but to Johnny himself, Out In California “ about a problem I had after I had purchased my spider.....! When I purchased the bike , after a few days of riding it had a problem with the right bank fouling plugs ..!!!It was not a carburetor problem...! Johnny was very nice to me on the phone he said go to the dealership tomorrow morning and drop your motorcycle off after they open I told him I would..... The dealership called me the day after that and said my motorcycle was ready to pick up that I needed to bring a pick up truck....? Johnny had overnighted me a complete ( brand new motor ) and had the dealership install the new motor as opposed to trying to fix the Problem with the Other one ....! Johnny also ordered the dealership to give me the old motor for extra parts...!!! I got more compliments and questions about my spider then I did my Harley people wanting to know what it was it was a very smooth running little motorcycle but the top in was around 42 miles an hour....! It was great to take to bike shows and rallies but you could not get it up on the highway unfortunately..... Prof Jeff
Johnny and his son your last name is actually ( Paganini ) i’m not sure of the spelling but I think this is correct...!

None of the Harley's are built in China, the foreign ones they're built in Thailand, and India.
Harley is looking to expand into China though with 3 stores and a plant for their smaller 300cc new motorcycles openning up soon.

Find parts listings for sale b4 u buy it,u may not be able to get parts and if u can the cost of shipping Will break u on a 10 dollar part to ship it out ,I own a cfmoto,250 it's been a pretty good bike it's an 09,I got for a grand with 500miles on it I've been lucky to not have to do nothing major to it till this yeah 17000,miles on it an I'm gonna have to tear it down it started knocking my last ride 2 months ago,I've ridden it every year most of the year in Ohio wen the roads was clear enough to ride even winter time but a head light cost me 12 bucks cheap generic bulbs that I can't find in states of the usa, shipping cost 37bucks,a 2 dollar sight lenses for the master cylynder on my breaks cost me 24 bucks shipping ,u get the idea I'm sure, the radio mp3 ,player is junk but other then these issues I've road it to death and back at 45 to 55,miles per hour,so I got my money's worth out of it and I'm told by other owners I got 1of the good ones they have had issues ,that is just internet talk though ,many I think are not used to the cvt, trans belt drive like the gokarts have an they think it's messed up because it vibrates as u pull out and has a particular sound to the trans that Americans are not used to an I think it scares them thinking they are about to have issues but I looked at it like this for a grand I'll ride it till it breaks an fix it if I can,so far I've road it ,now I will fix it if I can,a new motoir even high be a fix at 400,bucks and a new belt some bearings ,about 700 at most in repairs and replace an I might get lucky and get another 10 years of every day commuting on it,if not I'm just gonna sale it for 500 and take the loss of a few hundred an buy a nap bike, maybe the Honda c.b.500 or a tenerra 700
