nice to know that despite nerfs and power creep, Rabanastre will still trip people up lol... fun video, thanks
People were for sure sandbagging but I think there were a GOOD number of deaths that were natural. This was extremely fun, absolutely loved the raid
The music in these FFT raids makes me so happy.
really enjoyed seeing you do these cant wait for the rest of the alliance raids
Those healers putting in WORK
That was an extremely fun experience to heal a group that's sandbagging and a fun challenge to treat your cooks as callouts.
I'm glad you had fun! I want to do this again with future alliance raids! This was so much fun xD
Holy shit. I’ve NEVER seen Mateus use their ultimate before.
what a great way to experience the raids like this. awesome vid, wonderful raid series.
Week 1 and 2 of this Alliance Raid was so fun, there many instances where the raid would end up disolving after 5 wipes on the second bosses, but eventually the general playerbase learned and improved and wipes by week 5 were very rare. Ivalice Raids improved the skill of most players. Also the group stopped sandbagging after the first boss, i feel they got too much into it and they couldnt help it
Ivalice raids mentioned 👀
The FF Tactics music is so good.
This was fun to be involved with :D
I have not done the ivalice raids since finishing stormblood... i want to say it's been over a year. I remember nothing😅
I was there when this was current. Since you've already cooked, mechanics spoilers incoming.
I'd nearly forgotten the first boss even had that add phase. 2nd boss has always and still does mess people up. With the third boss, his intermission attack is a line attack, so you take way less damage if run to side out of his path. I'm actually disappointed that the raid didn't sandbag dark geass - it's an infamous mechanic even in normal duty finder because people won't figure out how to solve it. (you're supposed to actually interact with the object - this is indicated by it having text like your quest Destination markers. simply standing on it will not remove it and stop the attack)
On the last boss, you need to pay attention to the stuff being put in the foreground of your screen. The sword symbols are just a countdown to when the check condition occurs. You will see a light god or dark demon's face and be given a command. If you follow the light command you will avoid being hit. If you follow the dark command you WILL be hit. If you fail too many mechanics on that boss, you will be polymorphed and die (which amusingly references the Bravery/Faith system in FF Tactics). Also, the mechanic where people are marked with blue to drop the cross pattern, it's much easier if everyone drops them in the center so you can safely move to whichever corner is opposite the proximity attack.
My approach to location assignments defaults to A left, C right and B will flex between front or back from the center as needed. With the alliance raid healer lb3s, you will sometimes see in current content all 3 parties do healer lb3 to recover after most of the raid dies.
Good video! also as some who lives in OCE but plays on NA servers it's about 200 -250 ping
Thanks! Yeah ping isn't too bad if you're not doing super hard content. Was fun to get to play with people from all over. Well worth it
Can't wait to see T.G. hope it will have the same premise to let him solo cook
Not sure if T.G is a future alliance raid in SHB or EW but I'd love to do this same thing. I completed the other two wings of the Stormblood alliance like this. Will upload!
@Psybear_tv oh hell yeah I'm pumped to see the other 2 parts then T.G is short for thunder god aka thunder god cid or cidolfus bunansa. The second to last boss of the third stormblood alliance raid usually people have a lot of problems to solve his mechanics even in regular roulettes so I'm excited to see how you'll fare against him
When you're fighting a water boss, you better soak the adds or the adds will soak you instead.
