Looks nice, but I'm not sold on the rivet treatment....should be raised, like an old Airfix kit? Might be tempted to do a Croatian one. I do like your style of review BTW 👌👌

Harder to replicate attractive model with bulged rivets. That is why companies are avoiding it. It isn't impossible mission though: there are aftermarket rivets available, which is a tedious task.

@@DNModels But those kits from the 60s? Have you seen the price of those rivet sets!

@@paulhargreaves1497 Kits from the 60s and up to the 90s are those that I wouldn't build anymore. They have only sentimental value to me.
Also, now everything is getting more expensive. If you want rivets, you gotta pay. If you want resin, you gotta pay. Life changed.

I wanted to try something new besides planes and armor to build and saw the Zvezda kit. Got it because it was dirt cheap. However if i had known about the Trumpeter kit i would probably have bought it because it looks better detail wise... However it is much more expensive. The Zvezda gives you room to buy some aftermarket, but biggest drawback is the missing rivet details.

Trumpeter is fresh out of the furnace.

It just seems that trumpeter is better detailed. In fact, it is even simpler

4:00 Looking at the head on profile in the last page, which is usually generated from the CAD files together with the rest of the instructions, it has the same mistake as the 1/35 one. Everything is straight, it doesn't have the distinctive 2.5 degree tilt to the right from behind the cockpit, for the main fuselage and rotor and tail of the real Hind. And some of the things you're saying about the Zvezda kit are totally opposite of reality: 7:27 You say you've seen zvezda kits built and its rotor blades are flat. I've build both 1/72 and 1/48 Zvezda kits and the rotor blades do have sag, in fact their 1/72 was the first Hind kit to have it. OTOH the trumpeter 1/48 kit is not a total scale down of their 1/35 kit since the rotor blades were straight in 1/35 while this 1/48 they did correct to add sag. 8:58 You say the zvezda one has huge and deep panel lines which is totally opposite of reality, you need to look again at the zvezda kit. Both 1/72 and 1/48 have very fine and shallow panel lines which you need to reescribe or it all disappears under a few coats of paint.

Sag is there, true. But it isn't that pronounced IMHO. Either way it is fixable. But at first glance they do not compare well.
2.5 degree tilt - too. You are correct. However 2.5 degrees are not much for most of the modelers out there.
Panel lines in Zvezda kits are a particular area that I don't like. For you it might be different.

@@DNModels The blades of the star have more than a noticeable slack. By 2.5 - it's noticeable if you've ever seen a real helicopter. Plus errors in the geometry of the trampeter. Plus, in fact, the detailing is even easier than that of a zvezda

On some other channel maybe. This one is going to be butchered for camouflage measurements.
