Great review, thanks. The one thing that bugs me with all the Spit kits is that the engine top cover isn't moulded as one piece to drop onto the forward fuselage - it always takes forever to get rid of that seam line and you end up having to spend a lot more time reinstating the rivet detail that has inevitably has been removed. Apart from that this looks superb and I look forward to building it.
Looks a very good kit. Can not be any worse than Eduard 1/32 Messerschmitt 109E. More flash than you’d get on bonfire night, also the nose end of the aircraft was all warped and twisted, ended up in the bin, never again eduard.
@@richardc-ex7rt 1/48 FW 190D-9 from Eduard is really awful too, but it's also a relatively old kit for them. I've got the 1/48 Fw 190A-3, FW 190A-8/R2, Spitfire Mk XVI, BF 109G-14 and P-51D-10, along with various 1/72 scale ones too, those are all really solid.
Nice, detailed look ...thanks. Those rivets look like a step up from their V spits....I need to access the stash to check (Czech!)
Looks like a great kit. Always good to see different versions of an aircraft, I think.
One of my favorite looking Spits!

Good tip!
I think the 1:32 Kotare Spitfires are now the benchmark for accuracy and kit engineering.
Actually it is still Tamiya's kingdom.
Спасибо за подробный обзор!
I love Eduard kits!
You might want to bin the decals and get aftermarket ones though, mine were horrible not a patch on Cartograf
Really? That sounds like a bad luck.
They had a rough texture, the upper wing roundels were unuseable and all had a very thick backing film.
@@DNModels These might be the new style of decals, which everyone seems to dislike and have problems with.

I haven't got any issues with Eduard. Ever.
The 1/32 109 is the only terrible Eduard kit IMO. Mine went to the bin too. The others have been great.
