I'm old enough to remember the Bulls in their heyday. I wasn't a Bulls fan. It was always Jordan and Pippen,, not because there was any confusion over greatness or whose team it was, but because Scotty was that appreciably great and Jordan won we he got there. Same thing for LeBron and Wade in Miami. It's LeBron and Wade, even though no one was confused about levels of greatness.
No. It took more than just Scottie to arrive. He didn’t contribute as soon as he got there. He was coming off the bench. Grant was a bigger contributor than Pippen in the beginning!
You're having a different discussion and "No" to what (that I actually wrote)? Grant was a fine player, but they won titles without him. It took Scottie with his A game defensive posture and offensive contributions for Jordan to win rings.
It's more of a Scottie problem. Then a Jordan problem. Scottie is the only one doing the talking. He should know that Mike is not going to respond to that type of stuff. He don't have rabbit ears like to day sensitive players.
Yes, Reggie, there is no "Feud". It's only one person talking. Michael, really don't have to say a thing... He will always be "AIR JORDAN". The first thing that comes to mind, is his greatness on the court. Why taint your IMAGE by getting involved in today's social media-driven world. It's not good for business!!!
There's nothing Jordan can or could do or say, that would taint his greatness in today's social media climate. The man used to sport a hitler mustache like it was the thing to do, and no one said anything.
When you say Joker isn't exciting it's true that he doesn't really have that expression or charisma nor does he dunk much or can huge volume threes. But.. his passing and scoring wizardry and shooting accuracy to me is very entertaining. Somewhat similar to Duncan except Duncan is a legend with a legacy and Joker is at his first Finals. But to me I love Joker especially playoff Joker. I will never get tired of watching his skills especially passing he is truly one of the best passers EVER! Not passing bigs. Simply passer. Also he doesn't put up with crap which is satisfying as well.
Scottie was about to be nixed and he was about to be replaced by Tracy McGrady. But someone more powerful than Phil Jackson stepped in. Hmmmmnnn, I wonder who would that be. Tracy McGrady said it on the air. Had that someone didnt fight for Scottie. Scottie dont have 6 rings, and Tracy M. would be wearing his rings instead.

So scotties gonna throw shade at UNC and Dean Smith and Roy Williams as well? They coached him for three years. I doubt they would agree with scotties assessment. How doesnt Scottie get that life isnt about popularity, it's simply about how you treat people and how you take care of your family.
Well let's be clear Michael team was horrible. And the team basketball aspect came into play when Phil Jackson got there. Also, Scottie Pippen gameplay started to pick up after a few years of being around Michael and practicing with him. So let's be clear about things. Mj didnt win until Phil Jackson & his staff put in the Triangle.. We can replace Scottie with Clyde Drexler.. Bleep Scottie because it's about his wife leaving, the way she left etc etc etc.. 🤔
I don't think it's a slight. They kept picking against Miami, yet Miami is here. Denver is the more talented and deeper team, and so were the teams Miami played to get here. I personally have Denver winning because they, too, are well coached and have consistent shooters, and I like the combination of Joker and Murray. Bam will have to contend with Gordon and Joker, that's a tall order.
“Jokic not exciting to watch.” makes ZERO sense to say. I’ve been going to MANH NBA games yearly row 9/11/13 center court since 1987-88 (Reggie’s rookie year) and Jokic is one of the most exciting players EVER! God tier passer, can score from EVERYwhere on the court, best footwork for center the top4-7 GOAT 2 way player Hakeem. Anyone who thinks “Jokic is not exciting” is a casual who doesn’t know what they’re watching. Is Dan a casual I’m so confused.
That's a bunch a bull crap....Mike didn't start playing team ball until Phil Jackson was hired and Phil had to convince him to trust his teammates....it had nothing to do with Scottie...that's false...
You’re wrong stop lying Pippen got there in 87/88..wtf fk was Pippen doing before 91 and including 91 and the Bulls were good with Pippen on the bench..Phil was on the bench with Doug and only took them 1 game further his first year..MJ had zero consistent help until 91
Scottie and Phil get so much more credit than they deserve. Mike didn’t trust teammates earlier because they weren’t good enough. He made Scotty who he was. The triangle helped change the game but that wasn’t even Phil’s system.
@@vitosmith8195 I think it’s just more the teammates got better, especially after that first title everyone got more confident. The triangle forced Jordan to play without the ball more, so I guess Phil played a part in that but I mostly give credit to Jordan for willingly giving up the ball. The ball centric style puts the ultimate pressure on the role players because they pretty much play catch and shoot all game, rarely finding a rhythm in the actual game and making it easier for the defense to key in on everything. Lebron finally gave up the control of the ball this year but really only because he was hurt. Jordan’s ability to adapt to a different playstyle is one of the many reasons he’s the goat for me.
Its not Lebron, Its not KD...lol, thank goodness...tired of seeing ok basketball guys fumble the ball at leadership roles on the court. Jokic and Butler in the finals will be most exciting finals since the days of the lakers shaq and kobe...lbj not really a great player he is a social media influencer who hoops and was lucky enough to have dwade and ray allen on his squad. Then he was lucky enough to have kyrie irving win him a championship, and lucky to have AD in the bubble championship. Lbj is the new age robert horry...only robert horry could actually shoot.
Dan continues to disparage Jokic's game. What's not exciting about a big guy who takes it coast to coast and runs the point. He makes great passes. Rarely misses when he shoots. Most likely will make 1 crazy shot with a guy in his face which makes people say "how does he do that?" Just because you don't dunk you not be a exciting player?
Why are DP and Reggie sidestepping the direct fact that Pip’s ex-wife (after 20 years!) is now with MJ’s son???………..that’s a non factor? “Don’t get into people’s personal business” lol
@@rucianapollard7098 I don’t want them to operate in the filth of gossip rags, but if they’re going to speak on something, don’t have a puzzled reaction because you’re leaving out the elephant in the room.
I'm definitely of the opinion that MJ is overhyped, and he's not willing to give credit to anyone else, because he carefully crafted as such. But, if you have proper perspective, those two years when he was out, the Bulls were still one of the top teams without him. Also if Magic, and Bird, were just given normal career lifespans for players of their caliber, there's no way the Bulls win 6. You have to consider that those two take one or two championships during that time.
If we apply the same logic and consider Michael to be horrible then Scottie (with his record of 7.9 ppg in his first season and it didn't get much better until his fourth season) is worse than horrible
Anybody who watched this video will watch the finals sceew the ratings screw the casual fan like this only matters to the owners and higher ups of the NBA guess what none of us care about that we love basketball.
You're wrong Reggie, and I'm disappointed that you would say that the average fan won't even watch the Finals! Do I detect some Joker envy?? No it couldn't be Reggie Miller jealous of anything???
MJ bought in to Phil and Tex. And he had no teammates before. If you ran the triangle with the traveling cocaine circus, they may not have won a game. So of course they got better when Pippen arrived. He was a good player! It hurts me to watch the last dance and recall how much I loved watching Scottie compared to the BS he’s saying now. There isn’t a bridge left for him to burn. He’s on his own.
DP is wrong. Joker is exciting to watch. He’s fantastic. It looks effortless. Stop insulting the guy. Most of the rest of the league can be swapped for anyone else. Long and lanky, decent shooter, but nothing outstanding. They’re everywhere.
The Jordan didnt win without Pippen is the dumbest argument in sports. What all time great didnt have another star beside him when he won a title? Bird had McHale and Parrish. Magic had Kareem and Worthy. Duncan had Parker and Ginobli. LeBron had to go play with Wade to win a ring etc. It's just a stupid argument.

@@TheAeroRising which voters felt pressure to vote for Embiid?
@@depannist I guess this is how the internet works. Where did I say there was pressure to vote for Embiid? I said they felt obligated. The fact that they think he has been close the previous 2 years. The fact that most voters are historians and didn't believe Jokic should have been in the exclusive club of 3 MVPs. It's a domino effect that the media creates. I feel like if the mainstream media pushed Jokic more it would have been Jokic. Most are just sheep.
Everyone always says "jordan and Pippen" when talking about Championship teams and naming players of each team. I rarely hear "Jordan's Bulls"
So Reggie just said Jordan and the Bulls at @1:45. The exact thing Dan said and Reggie said “basketball people” say Jordan and Pippen Bulls which they rarely do. Case closed check out at @3:29
I'm old enough to remember the Bulls in their heyday.
Reggie is the BEST
Always a great interview
It’s always been Jordan and Pipp.
I don’t think Dan is correct at all.
Feel Reggie is more spot on.
Casual fan here. I'll be tuned in.
It's more of a Scottie problem. Then a Jordan problem. Scottie is the only one doing the talking. He should know that Mike is not going to respond to that type of stuff. He don't have rabbit ears like to day sensitive players.
I watched them and it was always Jordan and Scotty.
@@sedohema so did his father so what u saying? 🤔
@@lennybeason1110 what you're reading is what I'm saying.
7:01 I don’t think the NBA understands it’s demographics as well as it thinks.
I think the ratings will be higher than they’ve been in years!
Reggie you said when i played versus Jordan's Bulls, in the beginning of the video.
Lol....yes he did.....you know he's a hater of MJ as well....

Lol he was salty over that doc
For real though but, I don't think he has the footage that Jordan has, could be wrong.
Yea! He could’ve put one out a long time ago but I highly doubt people are interested to watch 😂
@@aquabayb4309 no one would watch it unless they got jordan in it i would say atleast his family would but his own girl fucking jordan jr 🤣 scottie jr prolly tells him he wants to be like mike when he grows up 🤣
What would Scottie have to show in his documentary??
Didn’t the abysmal Bulls get to the playoffs in MJ’s second year? I think the ROLE he played was executed masterfully.
The Boston Celtics have been “that close” for about five years now.
It's always been Jordan and Pippen! The reason Pippen was on the Dream Team over Dominique Wilkins and Isiah Thomas is because Pippen has always been associated with Jordan! No Jordan no Pippen!
Pippen's always included
I can remember when Reggie Miller was an Indiana Pacer.
Jamal Murray and Butler still bring entertainment
This is the first time seeing Reggie with hair lmao!!
If Scottie is looking for some props/acknowledgement/etc. he's going about it the wrong way. Pissing on the past doesn't make things smell better.
Michael Jordan averaged 32-8-8 without Phil Jackson in 1989 and made it to the ECF without Phil Jackson practically by himself.
The 1989 series deciding game 6 against the Detroit Pistons. Pippen only played 1 min. Got elbowed in the head. Never came back in. Averaged 9-7-3 for series. MJ had 32 & 13 assists in gm 6. Averaged 30, 6, 7 for series.
In the 1990 Eastern Conference Finals against the Detroit Pistons deciding game 7, the "Migraine game" Pippen put up 2pts(1-10 fg), 4 rbs, 2 assists in 42 mins.
Jordan put up 31, 8, 9.
I like the way Reggie answers these issues…
With a name like DP you can't lose 😂 🦾
Love Reggie..
I love Dan Patrick and I love Reggie Miller! hashtaggreatinterview
3:28 I will forever always respect Dan Patrick, but that might’ve been one of the worst cakes he’s ever had. It is the Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen bulls. That’s just how they remembered.
So scotties gonna throw shade at UNC and Dean Smith and Roy Williams as well? They coached him for three years. I doubt they would agree with scotties assessment. How doesnt Scottie get that life isnt about popularity, it's simply about how you treat people and how you take care of your family.
Love the Knick killer
Reggie Miller should be a GM
Well let's be clear Michael team was horrible. And the team basketball aspect came into play when Phil Jackson got there. Also, Scottie Pippen gameplay started to pick up after a few years of being around Michael and practicing with him. So let's be clear about things. It's not that Michael wasn't a team player He didn't trust the people that he was playing with for good reason
Lol I literally just left a very similar comment.

I'm a celtics fan but the nuggets are much more fun to watch than the celtics. Their offense is dynamic and Jokic is a once in a lifetime talent who can do everything, not to mention the great team around him
Dan Patrick, the public does not. The public say`s Jordan&PIPPEN!!! Scottie has every right to make these comments!
Basketball fans will watch the finals. Casual fans probably won’t, good point
I would keep Jaylon Brown and Jayson Tatum. Both extremely talented. Big. Maturing. Just need to keep their big or get a big
DP happy to go on MJ, prick…
Thank you Reggie. 😉
He was laughing really hard, while trying not to laugh!! 😂😂😂
Mj didnt win until Phil Jackson & his staff put in the Triangle.. We can replace Scottie with Clyde Drexler.. Bleep Scottie because it's about his wife leaving, the way she left etc etc etc.. 🤔
That's so bogus...if Mark didnt know what he was even voting for...maybe he shouldn't have a vote.
Keep picking against the Nuggets! PLEASE!!!
20:02 😂😂😂
“Jokic not exciting to watch.” makes ZERO sense to say. I’ve been going to MANH NBA games yearly row 9/11/13 center court since 1987-88 (Reggie’s rookie year) and Jokic is one of the most exciting players EVER!
God tier passer, can score from EVERYwhere on the court, best footwork for center the top4-7 GOAT 2 way player Hakeem.
Anyone who thinks “Jokic is not exciting” is a casual who doesn’t know what they’re watching. Is Dan a casual I’m so confused.
"Jokic not exciting to watch"..don't have to be a bball purist to appreciate joker imo. I'm not a fan of either heat or nuggets.
Scottie, in his feeling, MJ screwed me over, now his son is screwing my wife...Damn,Damn,Damn...
the best thing in sports reggie is the all time...
@@Joes35 I agree..but it was Phil who convinced MJ to start trusting in his teammates...
The public say JORDAN.... I've NEVER heard ANYBODY refer to the bulls as Jordan AND Pippen
Some times people say both
its scottie's "x" lmaoo 5:30
I think DP is pushing it's just Jordan and the Bulls . Media feeds that kind to the viewers
It's definitely "Jordan/Pippen". We all know that without Scottie, Jordan would not have had the level of success that he had.
They will never “hash” anything out….Jordan will not engage.
Why are DP and Reggie sidestepping the direct fact that Pip’s ex-wife (after 20 years!) is now with MJ’s son???………..that’s a non factor? “Don’t get into people’s personal business” lol
These guys are professional and their job is to talk about and analyze sports. Bringing someone's private life into the conversation is petty gossip.
@@rucianapollard7098 I don’t want them to operate in the filth of gossip rags, but if they’re going to speak on something, don’t have a puzzled reaction because you’re leaving out the elephant in the room.
Can you please change the intro
Wrong it has always been Jordan bulls Reggie! No has ever mentioned Pippen
MJ made the playoffs with those teams before Pip got there and all he had was some drug users and bench warmers .
Jordan & Pippen
I'm definitely of the opinion that MJ is overhyped, and he's not willing to give credit to anyone else, because he carefully crafted as such. But, if you have proper perspective, those two years when he was out, the Bulls were still one of the top teams without him. Also if Magic, and Bird, were just given normal career lifespans for players of their caliber, there's no way the Bulls win 6. You have to consider that those two take one or two championships during that time.
Nah Dan... It was Jordan AND Pippen
MJ just needed help it wasn’t the brand of Basketball that he was playing that were the reason that the Bulls came up short in the playoffs!
J-Z bought a home for $200 million with cash! Wow!
Last Dance.
But ALSO Jordan's son is dating Scotties exWIFE!! MJ could have said no go date and break up with someone else.
You're wrong Reggie, and I'm disappointed that you would say that the average fan won't even watch the Finals!
Do I detect some Joker envy?? No it couldn't be Reggie Miller jealous of anything???
Did we not ask him about the ECF MVP vote??
The only superstar who I can think of that won a ring without a 2nd star is Hakeem in 94.
Scottie Pippin has always been selfish on the basketball court.
We know it’s Jordan and Pippen. Stop. … basketball fans know Pippen was great 👍🏼
