Jeremy Wade is a great ambassador for worlds few of us ever get a chance to make contact. I love the encounters with bizarre species, the myths and lore and history snippets, and the amazing locales he takes us to!
8:50 The sheer awe of seeing not one, but 2 of a creature hardly anyone sees, let alone live, even less that are actually healthy And even fewer in person
That's a super cool fish! Perhaps it's so attracted to the chain as it's long and vertical like itself and there isn't anything else like the occuring in the sea naturally!
I loved this episode!!! The first time I saw that orefish I had to manually close my mouth! From the time when the discoverychannel was good... Love you Jeremy!!
They were also called doomsday fish. One just washed up near San Diego and they took it to NOAA. And that's what brought me back to see this episode again.
Thats sad bro …. Just be yourself and iff u like to catch big fish just catch those big fish and maybe film it 👍But never ever try to be someone your not .
I thought a dead one washed ashore a couple of years ago. That was really strange because they are deep sea fish. They didn't seem afraid of humans which makes me think there aren't any natural predators after them. They are pretty. All shiny, silvery with strips of red and and a tiny mouth with big eyeballs. They have cute crowns on their heads. Perhaps feelers for food? And the way they ripple back and forth with their bodies with the light reflecting off the silver. They are probably curious from the light? That's why they appeared at night time? We'll never know. Beautiful fish. I think ancient too. Good job Jeremy. You never give up! ❤❤❤
Hey, figured id reply to a year old comment if you dont mind. Yeah one did wash ashore. I think more than one now. Scientists believe for whatever reason (im not sure/dont remember) they start going closer to the surface towards the end of there life, which is why they can wash a shore sometimes. Like jeremy says in the vid, they dont have a swim bladder like most fish, so they can be at a wide range of depths. As for being at the chain? Who knows.
Jeremy. I really must say that you are very, very brave. I really enjoy swimming in the sea. However, to do exactly what you just did. I think I would only get as far as going out there with a boat, then I would turn back, so well done, Sir. 👍🏼🙂👍🏼❤️
I'm 14 years old and I wanna be just like Jeremy . I wanna travel the world fishing and all but before all of that I wanna fishish school and go to college to study marine biology and after that is when I start my way up . Thank you mr. Jeremy Wade for what you do . Btw this was an epic video .👍
Lots of fish hang around floating stuff and anchor lines for buoys. In deep enough water mahi mahi, cobia, tripletail, tuna, wahoo, and lots more species like the structure. Smaller bait fish too. So I'm not surprised oarfish would follow a chain or line up towards the surface, looking for food.
Orr fish sometimes come to shallower water when ill or dying (normally live too deep for human contact) and some think they are what gave rise to myths of giant sea serpents sometimes drawn on very old maps.
to my memory the only reason they stopped the show, was cause Mr. Wade caught every possible fish, and there was nothing left for him to actively go after anymore
@@ryg2304 hard to find anything else for him when he's gone worldwide, fished in every possible spot, and caught basically every fish that can be caught on a rod and reel
Why dont "blue divers" just tie a little ballon to their waist so they know which way is up? Or have a bubble in a glass tube. Kinda crazy that hes saying people get disoriented isnt there anything for this?
From all the things he had done,I had to watch encounter with box jelly fish for about four or five times.I still cannot believe that he had done it.For some of the first moments of watching,I used to check is that a real box jelly fish or some replica.I know Jeremy wouldn't lie to us,but I was still in disbelief.
Beltfish/hairfish have the same kind of behavior. most easily spotted at night and attracted to flashlights they will bite you if you are aggressive (like spearfishing fishes)
Interesting you’re using a mask with an ABV for a closed circuit rig. Guess it could come in handy if you need to breathe open circuit in case of a malfunction
They do overdramatize a bit for entertainment... There is references other than the anchor line, as there is lights on the boat, which you can see on some of the shots. Its also not that "extreme" with blue water dives, but it does require a bit of dicipline and planning as you most certainly do not want to end up going too deep, which is very easy of there is no line or being swept off by a current.
All creatures of our God and king Lift up your voices and with us sing Alleluia, alleluia Thou burning with golden beam Thou silver moon with softer gleam Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia
Why include the intermission? Include more of the episode instead of wasting time with intermissions maybe… other than that there’s nothing wrong with it 👍
once one starts to study the structure of cinematography, it becomes clear, all of this drama is made up to create a story. Man comes on a quest, meets an obstacle, get to the low point, over comes it, and becomes a changed individual.
Every day, I read the NY Times Daily Brief. It is a synopsis of world events. Also included in their reporting is the death of people we may know, who have just passed away. I will be very sad when Jeremy's name comes up... as I've watched every one of his shows. He is a true Angler who has always been so courageous and well mannered. You could take him anywhere and he'd make friends... God Bless him.

I was so happy when he found this creature. What a cool looking thing, I never know they exist.

Agreed, that’s what Jeremy is trying to prove
5:11 for mobile legends sound effect 😂
Handsome Mr Wade ❤️
It just sad the show ended
Very interesting
This was a great show wish they would bring it back but don't want Mr Wade and his team in deadly danger after the lightning incident.
to my memory the only reason they stopped the show, was cause Mr. Wade caught every possible fish, and there was nothing left for him to actively go after anymore

Oar fish: oh my god its Jeremey wade :3
Me to that is really dangerous.
It’s so funny watching him act like a tourist around turtle with the oarfish
the inspirations for the reapers in subnautica

Those fish radiate to him like dogs lol.
Will you be coming to Singapore again? MR WADE
Hi jeremy good to you mate😊
To see an oar fish in real life is a dream of mine and I’m moving to Marseille to fulfill my dream
So did I. Really see what you just saw.
I’m surprised he didn’t panic
Knowing the rarely sightings these fish have even for the people diving daily next to these chains , he had to be very lucky.
He is an actor this was shot at the sea world aquarium
Wow
Lucky sod💞
definitely a breeding pair. amazing footage.
I wish I got the opportunity to do this
What's a orefish
😍👏👏💙

The camera person seemed to be alright and they didn’t even have the chain to hold on too.

What does a ore fish look like
Anybody remembers this fish swimming in the pool in the game SUPER MARIO NINTENDO 64?
Maybe diving isn't for Mr. Wade.
👍❤️👍

Touch and release! Soon our oceans will be filled with plastic waste and these magnificent creatures will be gone.
I still want to see Jeremy and cat fish Dave go fishing together and land some monster cats will let Dave take the leed lol

Jeremy was deadass about to die because he doesn’t know how to scuba dive.
😂
